24 Two Faces and Holiday

Inside a room, full of garlic cloves hanging from the ceiling and windows, one man in a turban is facing a mirror. However, the bizarre thing about this man is not his room no, no, no. The bizarre thing about him is that he has two faces. Quirinus Quirrell, a DADA professor at Hogwarts, has a two-face. One is normal in front, and the other is monstrously hideous in the back.

It's so hideous that once someone manages to look at it, it is definite that he will have one of his scariest nightmares to come. Its face is similar to the head of a snake, with red eyes, and sharp, deadly fangs. If Dumbledore sees this, then he will surely recognize this monstrosity as the dark lord, Voldemort.

"~Pathetic!~" The snakelike face shouted with a hiss.

"Please forgive me, Master!" Quirrell begged,

"~I've already ordered you to stay cautious of any pest and keep them away from meddling with my spell, how could you be so useless!?~"

"Forgive me, Master, I didn't think that—that mudblood would dare to do that—"

"~Silence!!~" He shouted exasperatedly.

"~I felt someone was probing us earlier...~" He uttered solemnly.

"Hickkk! Is—is it Dumbledore?!" Quirrell inquired in a panicked voice as he started hyperventilating.

"~No, this one's different, if it's Dumbledore, then I would have already felt his signature considering how thick it is.~" Voldemort muttered to himself, seemingly in thought. Then, his eyes widened, seemingly having an epiphany, as he smiled with ecstasy.

"~The other trolls! — We need to know what happened to them, don't ever ask Snape; even though he's one of my useful followers, he can't be trusted. A person driven by love will forever be a slave to it. His loyalty is like a boat, and right now, Dumbledore is the one steering it. Do you understand?~"

Quirrell stare in a dazed; he was completely impressed by his master's wisdom and intelligence, and it reminded him that he picked the right side this time—the side that will give him his most deserved honor and reputation.

"~Why aren't you answering!!~ Voldemort hissed in annoyance. If he had an option, he would have already killed this imbecile in Albania. But, unfortunately, he doesn't have one.

"Dumbledore immediately dismissed you that night because of your incompetent acting!~ He's already suspicious of you, you need to lay low~" He ordered his slave, to which the slave replied by saying,

"As you command, Master," Quirrell said as he kneeled and bowed, but before he could,

"~You fool! We share the same head! Don't kneel!~"

"Apologies, Master..."

[Hogwarts, December 20th, 1991]

Seasons of giving Christmas was approaching, and the holiday had already started. A few days after the Gryffindor and Slytherin match, the potion effect that Wednesday gave to Draco had lost its effect, causing the platinum-blonde-haired boy to lose his cool about himself.

Every time that he closes his eyes, the only thing that he can see is his gut-wrenching self, simping at Harry, Ron, and that despicable mudblood prince—that's what he calls Moses. That's why he became more brutal in his pranks on the trio, including Moses, who, for some reason, avoided his prank like he was some sort of lost son of lady luck.

Every time that he exacts his revenge on Ron and Harry, Snape is always in the middle of the conflict! As a result, instead of Slytherin losing points, Gryffindor was always the victim.

Moses, after his lesson at Charms, was walking in the corridor when he saw Harry and Ron talking to Hagrid, who was dragging a large fir tree. The large tree was covering the corridor, so Hagrid was having quite a difficult time dragging it without hurting the little kids around him.

"Would you mind moving out of the way?" Moses heard Malfoy's cold drawl from behind Ron.

"Are you trying to earn some extra money, Weasley? Hoping to be gamekeeper yourself when you leave Hogwarts, I suppose — that hut of Hagrid's must seem like a palace compared to what your family's used to."

As those words came out of Draco's mouth, a sharp glint appeared in Moses' eyes as he took a step forward and dragged the large tree to the side with one of his hands nonchalantly. Hagrid, who saw what Moses had done, widened his eyes. After all, a tree of that size is something an eleven yr old can't just pick up with one of his bare hands.

"There's no need to be a git, Malfoy. Ron just wants to help — I don't blame you if you don't know the meaning of help, Malfoy; after all, learning pureblood ideology can be quite tiresome compared to learning simple alphabetical words, isn't it?" Moses said while looking at Draco pitifully, mocking him. Draco, who heard his insult, was reddened in anger.

"You, shut up!" yelled Draco, but before he could finish his sentence, Moses stepped in with a mocking smile.

"— Mudblood, this doesn't concern you! Blah, blah, blah. — HAHAHA, you're too predictable, y'know? When are you gonna up your game? I expected more from a real-life young master, and I guess it's true what they say: 'If you expect disappointment, then you can never really be disappointed'."

Due to Malfoy's shout, the other students who were minding their own business stopped what they were doing and decided to watch the spectacle. They all chuckled because of Moses' witty comeback, after all, Draco, being a predictable young master was indeed true.

"You—" Draco, not taking any more of his shit, stepped forward to Moses and grabbed the robe near his neck just as Professor Snape came up the stairs.

"I'm sorry, Professor Snape, for this obvious display of violence coming from Mr. Malfoy here. I don't know what he's on about, sir, but I think he just insulted me—he called me, what does it say again...? — Ah! Right, he called me mudblood professor..." said Moses while acting pitifully, he was looking down like his feelings were hurt.

"Liar!—" Draco shouted, but Snape intervened by raising his hand for a stop.

"If what you're saying is true, Mr. Moses..." Snape said flatly, his gaze fixed on Draco.

"Then I'm sure to exercise my authority over Mr. Malfoy here as his house head—if you'll excuse us..." He finished as he grabbed Draco and carried him up the stairs.

After Snape and Draco disappeared from their view, the students who watched the spectacle clapped their hands enthusiastically, while Harry and Ron looked at Moses like he was some sort of messiah.

"How did you do that, mate?!", "Yeah, it's like you gave him a mental punch right there!" Ron and Harry simultaneously said, to which Moses replied with just an awkward smile.

After that, they decided to help Hagrid in the tree, to which he replied by saying,

"O'right then, but! Only Moses. He moved it to the side a while ago; you didn't break a sweat, didn't you?" Hagrid said as he picked up the tree and gestured for Moses to carry the end of the tree, allowing them to move it easily.

After delivering it to the Great Hall, where Professor McGonagall and Professor

Flitwick was busy with the Christmas decorations, Moses and Hermione volunteered to help Professor Flitwick in levitating some of the decoration, at first Professor denied their volunteer when Moses said,

"Just let us, Professor. Besides, we are not going to spend our Christmas here anyway, so it'll be a lot for us if you let us help you." With his little speech, Professor McGonagall and Prof. Flitwick looked at each other with a knowing smile as Professor McGonagall said,

"Fine, but! Only levitation, okay?" She said with a rare smile,

"Yes!" Moses and Hermione replied gleefully while looking at each other.

[Hogwarts, December 21st, 1991]

The holidays had started, and Moses, after finishing packing his things, dragged his bag and decided to head down to say goodbye to Ron and Harry.

"Enjoy your Christmas, Moses!", "Bye, Moses!", "Goodbye, cutie~," the female senior Ravenclaws said their goodbyes to him as he opened the exit of their common room.

"Bye, everyone! See you next year!" Moses exclaimed while waving to them as he closed the door. But as he turned around, a set of hands pinched his cheeks.

"Bye, Moses!~" said Penelope, adorned with her scarf while amusedly looking at Moses.

"Bye, Penelope!" Moses yelled as he escaped from the vixen's clutches and ran, causing the girl in question to pout.

As Moses came down to the Great Hall, he saw Hermione, having a conversation with Harry and Ron, who were playing wizard's chess.

"You will keep looking while I'm away, won't you?" He heard Hermione say as she continued,

"And send me an owl if you find anything."

"And you could ask your parents if they know who Flamel is," said Ron. "It'd be safe to ask them."

"Very safe, as they're both dentists," said Hermione.

"Ask them what?" Moses interrupted, causing the trio's eyes to widen.

"Uhm—yeah! A pamphlet, yes! Ron was just asking if my parents had a pamphlet of what will happen if you ate too many sweets!" Hermione replied in a panicked tone. Moses looked at him weirdly and muttered,

"O—kay...? Anyways, have you seen Wednesday? She was supposed to meet with me right no—"Moses questioned Hermione as he looked at his wristwatch. But before he could finish his sentence, an apathetic voice appeared behind him.

"I'm here." said Wednesday while looking at Moses with a straight face.

"Fu— you scared me!" Moses exclaimed while relaxing his breathing.

"Why do you always do that?~" whined Moses while looking at Wednesday with a worn out expression.

"Do what?"

"Nevermind — Sigh~, finished packing?" Moses asked while looking at Wednesday,

"Yes. You?" asked Wednesday in deadpan while glancing at Moses, to which Moses just answered by saying,

"Yeah, we can go now. Mione, you coming?"

"Yeah, you two can go on, I just have something more to tell Harry," Hermione answered with a nod.

"Fine~ just be quick, or the train will leave you~" Moses warned her as he skedaddled away with Wednesday, casually whistling.

However, once Moses was in front of the Great Hall, he stopped in his tracks and turned around to face the people inside the Great Hall.

"Happy Christmas, everyone!" He yelled to them while waving his hand, and Professor Flitwick, McGonagall, and Headmaster Dumbledore, who were busy doing the decorations, stopped what they were doing and looked at Moses, each of them adorned with their smile.

"Happy Christmas, young Moses!", Happy Christmas!, "Merry Christmas!".

Moses smiled while looking at them as he turned around and took his leave. Once they were out of view, Hermione looked at the two boys and whispered to them,

"You still haven't looked at the restricted section, right? Make sure to visit there. Happy Christmas!" She whispered to them with a hint of mischief in her eyes. After Hermione left, Ron and Harry looked at each other as Ron said,

"...I think we've had a bad influence on her." Ron whispered to Harry, to which Harry denied by saying,

"More like, Moses had a bad influence on her, if you ask me..."
