Forbidden Forest: Choice of the Fool

[Hogwarts, Somewhere in the Forbidden Forest, May 26th, 1992]

"I shouldn't have asked Hagrid to tag me along with you~" Moses said as he picked up different ingredients from the ground and put them in a pouch by his waist.

"Don't whine now, Moses. You asked for me," Wednesday replied while also kneeling and taking some weird plants.

"That's because I thought we would have a good time! Hermione would be too into rules, while Harry and Ron would be too scared for me to enjoy them, and let's not even mention that Malfoy." Moses reasoned while picking up some weird-looking plants.

They were minding their own business when suddenly,

"GRRR."

Moses' atmosphere immediately changed as he stood up and stepped right next to Wednesday.

"Don't move," He whispered to Wednesday, to which Wednesday just answered by saying,

"I should be the one saying that to you..." They stood side by side with their backs facing each other.

A moment later, three wolves that were too big to be normal wolves, revealed themselves, their eyes, purplish in color. One wolf' at the side has fur that was black as the night sky, while the other has fur that is as grey as the dreary skies. However, one of them has a more majestic and out-of-this-world appearance. With snow-white fur and crystal blue eyes, a wolf, the biggest among them, stood in the middle.

"GRRR, GRR — GRRRR, GRRR?" (Eyolf, are you certain that this wreth — humans, can help us?" asked one of the wolves at the white wolf's side.)

"GRRRRR!" (Gunnolf! Just shut up for a minute, will ya!)

"GRRR GRRRR!" (I'm not talking to you, Randolph!)

"What in potato's name is happening?" Moses muttered with disbelief written on his face while watching the three conversing wolves,

"I know... they seem to be having a conversation with each other, maybe deciding on how to eat us..." Wednesday quips while her hands are inside her pocket.

"But that's not what I'm getting at," Moses uttered in a daze while looking at the wolves, particularly the white one that is currently gazing into his eyes in a calm manner.

"GRR." (Quiet.), The white wolf growled, causing the two wolves by his side to cease their quarrel.

"What do you—" said Wednesday, but before she could continue questioning Moses, he did something that stupefied her.

"GRRR?" (Why can I understand you?), Moses growled back to the three wolves, causing the two wolves beside the white one to be shocked.

"GRRR!" (A speaker!), exclaimed Randolph, the grey wolf.

"GRRRR! GRRRR!" (Impossible! They're already extinct!)

"GRRRR? GRRR!?" (What do you mean, speaker? And how the hell can I understand you!?), Moses inquired to them with a confused expression.

"Moses, are you all right?" Wednesday asked with a look of confusion visible in her dark-brown eyes.

"...I think not. I can understand them." Moses replied in a daze while looking at the wolves.

"GRRR, GRRR." (Honoured one, I asked for you to help us.) The wolf growled as he kneeled toward Moses. The other two wolves beside him were shocked by their leader's actions, but because he's their leader, they must also do what he's doing. Moses and Wednesday widened their eyes in disbelief.

"In what?" Moses was perplexed by what the white wolf was saying.

"Moses, can you understand them?" Wednesday asked, and based on her observations, it seems like Moses is indeed communicating with these quadruped animals.

"Yes, I don't know how, but it's interesting," Moses replied with an excited smile, his eyes, glittering.

Their conversation was suddenly interrupted when the white wolf growled,

"GRRR..." (Follow me...), He uttered as he dashed back towards the bushes and stopped again, waiting for Moses and Wednesday to come.

"He said to follow them, do you think we should?" Moses asked Wednesday, and Wednesday fell deep in thought for a few seconds and answered with a nod.

"Fine." Uttered Wednesday.

'We can escape immediately with a teleport if things go south,' Moses thought as he dashed towards the white wolf with Wednesday following him.

----------------

When Moses and Wednesday arrived at the place where the wolves were telling them to go, they were shocked to their core. All that was visible was a massacre, a thick silvery substance and red liquid similar to blood that was all over the place, painting the ground, surrounding trees, and rock in a silvery glow and a red glow, dismembered parts and a disabled body of pure white, and some pure gold unicorns with deep 4 mm-2 holes in their bodies. While the wolves have no such thing, most of them are dismembered and have deep gashes in their thick hide.

They were all lying down on the ground, unmoving, giving Moses and Wednesday the impression that they were already dead or too injured to be able to move. There were easily hundreds of them, all lying down on the hard, cold ground. While those wolves with different types of fur who could move divided the unicorns and wolves who were lying down into two groups.

"GGRRRR?" (What are you doing to them?) Moses demanded, enraged by the massacre in front of him.

"GGRRR." (We're grouping the unicorns and the wolves that's currently breathing and alive, away from the dead.) , answered the white wolf with visible anger in its eyes. The being who made this massacre was a hideous one, and he can never forget what it looks like. An atrocity against nature's balance, personified by an undead and a lich.

Meanwhile, Wednesday was looking at this massacre with a lifeless gaze in her eyes; however, contrary to what her face says, her feelings said something else.

'All these unicorns were killed because of greed for immortality,' She thought while clenching her teeth ever-so-slightly. She walked over to the nearest unicorn and kneeled in front of it. She brushed her arms gently on the unicorn's smooth white hide.

"GRRRR." (Honoured one... My name is Eyolf, which means the lucky wolf, and our gods have spoken. Please help us heal the unicorns and wolves of my tribe that are still breathing. After Eyolf said that, he sat in a straight position and raised his head; the other wolves saw what he was doing and did the same as they simultaneously howled.

AWOOOO!* AWOOO!*

"What did they say...?" Wednesday was still on her knees as he closed the lifeless eyes of the deceased unicorn.

"They're asking me to heal the injured and those who breathe."

"Can you? Moses, we're still in our first year. The advanced healing spells haven't been taught to us yet." Wednesday commented as she stood up and looked at Moses dead in the eye.

Moses looked at her and noticed the unknown glint in Wednesday's eyes. It's the first time he's seen that kind of glint. Most of the time, her gaze was just a blank slate; sometimes it was a murdering gaze, and sometimes it was a mischievous gaze. But none of those gazes fit hers right now; it's more primal and real. It's anger.

Moses was deep in thought for a few seconds while looking at Wednesday's eyes, which caused Wednesday to look at him weirdly and annoyingly. But before she could speak, Moses cut her off.

"Wednesday, anything that happens after this point will be between us only. Do you understand me?" Moses said this while looking at Wednesday with a grievous look.

Wednesday, noticing the seriousness of his voice, she looked at Moses' unyielding gaze. His vibe and atmosphere are currently unfamiliar to her, but if Moses does indeed have a way to help these creatures, then maybe, for the mean time, she will temporarily abide by his rules.

"Believe me, the last thing that you want to do is trust me, Moses." Wednesday replied with an impassive voice while looking solemnly into Moses' eyes. When Moses heard what Wednesday said, he smiled calmly while looking at Wednesday's void-like gaze, he chuckled, and said,

"I know." As he turned his back on Wednesday and marched towards the center of the bloodshed,

Moses can just make Wednesday forget everything that will happen here, he can also control her into hiding everything that will happen to her, but for some reason, he felt that maybe, just maybe, it's time for someone else besides him to know the real him. His real power. What a monster in human skin he is.

That's what he feels on the outside; that's what he wants to believe, but what he really longs for inside his deepest, warmest, most amicable heart is...All his secrets unveiled to someone that he could... trust. It sounds moronic, idiotic, and foolish, but it is a foolish decision. But that decision is justified, especially in his current situation, where lives are at stake, strangers lives to him but... if you had the power to do something easily, wouldn't you do it too?

It's just like If you want to buy something you want regardless of the price, you can because you have the money to do so, and Moses can confidently say that he is rich in terms of his powers and power...is the driving force of the universe...in this universe.

As the sky seemingly felt the deaths of so many innocent creatures, it roared an uncountable fast streaks of lightning, and big drops of rain fell from the dark, cloudy skies as Moses took each of his steps with thunderous roars accompanying them.

Wednesday, standing by the side of Eyolf, looked at the scene before him. Moses, with his golden blonde hair similar to that of a prince, he was walking in the middle of the storm with blood and gore all over him, thereby creating a beautiful scene. Even though she shouldn't think of any inappropriate thoughts right now, oh she was feeling it. An unknown emotion in her deepest, darkest, and coldest heart had begun to steer itself into unlife. An unknown emotion that she despise and was deeply dug deep inside her existence.

"AWOOO! AWOOO!" (The Gods have spoken! This man is the honoured one; therefore, we shall all bow!) Wednesday and Moses heard Eyolf's long ferocious howl, and as he spoke, Eyolf and all wolves of various colors of fur bowed to him.

{100-meter radius command carrier} Moses commanded, and as he said those command, anything within a 100-meter radius was covered by a translucent spherical barrier. All the dead unicorns and wolves have been completely covered by it making Moses nod in contentment.

Command Barrier is a type of command that Moses created to specifically give a command to a certain area. It is primarily used to command a broad area effect. Everything inside is basically his own domain.

Moses, while in the middle of the carnage, decided to close his eyes and think for a minute.

'The monster who did this, only came after the unicorn's blood, while the wolves are only casualties for him or her. And unicorn blood is well-known for its ability to save the lives of people who are on the verge of death... the Philosopher's stone are also known to grant the drinker immortality...So he couldn't get the stone and had no choice but to resort to this...' Moses deducted,

"If that monster already has the blood inside him, I wonder what will happen if I steal it from him." Moses whispered to himself as he thought of the perfect command for this scenario. A command that will both save the unicorns and wolves and, in the process of saving them, it will also harm the monster who did this to them.

"I hope this works..." Moses uttered as he looked toward Wednesday and Eyolf. He nodded his head to them, telling them that he was ready. And with that last act, he activated his command—
