[St. Ottery Catchpole, July 11th, 1991]
"Hehehehe, Luna! Look what I've got!" I tease Luna with a playful smile while waving my wand around. Luna, as usual, was doing something near the lake that I can't quite understand.
"A wand?" Luna said even though her back is in front of me she managed to know what I'm holding.
"How did you know?" I said in a dejected tone while pouting.
"Well...the Blibbering Humdinger told me, they can't stop blabbering, they're a noisy bunch." She muttered in a dazed tone while waving her arms under the water.
"Blibbering Humdinger?" I asked her while I sat next to her.
"Hmm." She hummed with a nod.
"When I thought that you were just a muggle, Daddy forbade me from talking about magical creatures to you, but now that you're a wizard, I guess there's no stopping me." She muttered with excitement.
"Sure! You can tell me everything, I'm really curious about the magical creatures and their differences from the normal animals." I said with an innocent smile.
"Okay...first, you need to know about the Crumpled Horn Snorkack, they're..."
And that's how my first lesson on magical creatures began, and to top it off, Luna is teaching me! What could I possibly ask for?
-------------------
It's been a few hours since Luna started teaching me about the magical creatures, and the only thing I can say is that the magical creatures were interesting, to say the least. I mean, a frog on the moon? I haven't even gone there yet.
'Why didn't I go there?' I pondered while gazing up in the sky.
"Is something wrong?" Luna asked while staring at me.
"Nah, just thinking about a project." I answered with a shrug.
"Okay, Oh! Right, I want to introduce you to someone, come!" She exclaimed with her usual dreamy smile as she stood up and dragged me somewhere.
After travelling quite far away, we arrived in a land with a bunch of overgrown weeds and trees. What I can see so far is that it's only a vacant spot. But anything can be done with a little magic.
"It's hidden with magic, just like yours, Luna?" I asked,
"Hmm," Luna hummed with a nod.
'I really need to do something with these tricks.' I thought to myself while Luna continued to drag me.
After a few steps, just like what I felt in Luna's residence, a gel-like substance passed through my body, and once I passed through it, what I saw is something that engineers and mathematicians would die just by seeing.
A multi-story house with a crazy construct is standing before me at its peak. Four or five chimneys were perched on top of the red roof, and a lopsided sign was stuck in the ground near the entrance.
[THE BURROW.]
"Uhmm, Luna, where exactly did you bring me?" I asked with a sheepish smile.
"Luna?"
A voice suddenly appeared beside us. A girl, with the same height as Lunas' is standing before us with her flaming red hair, and noticeable brown eyes. She has little, cute freckles on her cheeks that only brought more cuteness to her looks.
"Ginny!" Luna exclaimed as she rushed to the girl with an enthusiastic hug.
After hugging each other, the red-haired girl looked at me curiously up and down, I looked at her curiously too, and when our eyes met, the girl's cheeks were suddenly dyed a bright red as she avoided my stares by turning her head to the side suddenly.
"Uhmm...Hello, I'm Moses. Luna's friend." I greeted her as I took a few steps towards her and offered my hand for a shake.
"EHEM, hi, Moses. I'm Ginny, Luna's friend too." She uttered while looking down as she grabbed my hand for a little shake. A look of realization suddenly appeared on her face.
"You're the boy that Luna was talking about... but I thought you're a muggle..." She mumbled, with visible confusion written on her face. She suddenly looked at me with widening eyes, then turned her face toward Luna.
"Heh?! Luna you've brought a muggle in our house?!" She exlaimed in panic.
"Merlin's beard... Luna, what were you thinking? Now we need to call for an Obliviator." She muttered in panic.
"Hey, hey. Look, no need to call for someone, I'm a wizard too. Just got my letter from Hogwarts and I bought my wand just yesterday, look!" I said to her while waving my wand for her to see.
She looked at Luna for confirmation, to which Luna just nodded, then she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Sorry about that, Moses." She apologized,
"It's oke." I replied with a thumbs up.
"Come to think of it... what were you doing there in the bushes?" I asked her, while pointing at the bushes with a noticeable broom under them. Luna also noticed it and looked at Ginny.
"Hiding a broomstick again, Ginny?" She uttered.
"Urgh! You know how my brothers are, Luna, they're bloody gits. Why would I wait to be a second year in Hogwarts to ride my broomstick when they can already ride it much earlier?" She spoke in an annoyed tone.
"I don't know if it's because I'm a girl or if they're just afraid of my talent." She muttered as she raised her head, giving the impression that her nose is pointed.
"Hahaha, I'm sure they're just worried about you, Ginny. After all, we're still children, and anything can happen, especially if you're flying unprotected, your clothes are not even enchanted, Ginny, what if you fall?" Luna muttered with a worried smile while looking at Ginny.
Ginny sighs with defeat and looks at Luna.
"Fine, but I will not give up, okay? I just stopped right now because I'm suddenly not in the mood and there's a guest." She spoke with toughness in her voice.
"Ginny? Luna? What were you doing there, dear? And who's this lad?" A sudden, high pitched voice belonging to a woman suddenly interrupted us from behind.
"Oh, it's nothing, Mum, Luna brought a guest." She pointed towards me as she kicked the broomstick with her foot to hide it in the bushes.
"Oh! A guest, well it's almost supper now, how about we have our conversation with our bellies full, huh?" She said to me with a smile.
"What's your name again, dear?" She asked while grabbing my shoulder.
"My name's Moses, ma'am," I answered.
"Oh, look at you being so polite. You can call me Mrs. Weasley, dear. Now come on, it's almost time for me to cook for supper anyway, so how about you join us, dear?" She said this as she dragged me along, her hands on my shoulders, to the strange-looking house.
Opening the door, I was greeted by the sight of a cozy feeling in the house. with a fresh lavender scent and a type of wood. I looked at the cozy surroundings and felt something that I only felt in the orphanage.
"It's not much, but it's home." Mrs. Weasley said to me, a content smile on her face.
"Can I come in?" I asked with a hint of excitement.
"Help yourself, dear." She replied as she gestured for me to come.
I took a step inside the house and took notice of its quirkiness. Floating dishes are being washed by themselves, and floors are being cleaned by a floating broom.
There's also a large fireplace, a wooden wireless set, a huge wooden bookshelf, and a clock that, instead of telling the time, had various words written on it.
"Our supper for today is meatballs with my special onion sauce!" She uttered as she grabbed a bunch of odd-looking onions from her bag.
"This will be just a minute, dear. How about you take care of our guests in the meantime, Ginny?"
"Sure," Ginny agreed.
"Come," Ginny uttered as she dragged my arm upstairs.
After arriving on the first floor, we entered a room where the fresh lavender scent that I smelled was the most prominent.
"This is my room... I'm the only one here, but sometimes Luna comes for an overnight stay.
I look around her room and notice a few unfamiliar posters.
"That's my favorite band, The Weird Sisters. They're well-known in the wizarding world, and I'm one of their fans." She said to me while flexing his poster of the said 'Weird Sister'.
"So there's a band in the wizarding world." I muttered while pondering my thoughts.
"Of course there are, we're not savages. Anyway, they're not really girls, despite their names."She added.
"And this one is the poster of Gwenog Jones, captain of the all-witch Quidditch team, the Holyhead Harpies. She's my favorite Quidditch player and her team is my favorite Quidditch team." She uttered while staring dazzlingly at the poster.
I look around her room and check her books. I was hoping to find something that would help me study the norms for the wizarding world in it when I was drawn in by the title of one book.
"Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived." I uttered with a hint of curiosity in my eyes. Ginny noticed my look, which prompted her to look in the direction I was looking.
"No! You can take anything but this..." She muttered with an intense flush in her cheeks while protecting the book from me.
I look at Luna questioningly.
"Harry Potter, the boy who lived, he's quite famous in the wizarding world for vanquishing a Dark Lord, even though he's just a baby. Because of his impossible tale, many writers wrote their different versions of Harry Potter, even though right now, he's only about your age." Luna explained everything to me in her usual dreamy way.
"Harry Potter...interesting." I uttered with visible interest.
'Maybe he's just like me...' I thought to myself. After all, how can he vanquish someone like a dark lord even though he's just a toddler.
"By the way, Luna. What is a dark lord?" I asked with my head tilted to the side.
Before Luna answered, the sudden voice of a boy interrupted us from behind.
"Ginny, have you seen one of my pawns? I can't seem to find it."
