6 Chapter#6

"I hope you're well rested now, Mr. Noah. We have so much to talk about." She said with a calm and knowing smile on her face.

I eyed her for a few seconds and stood up to face her.

"Thank you for helping me," I said with a bow.

" There's no need for a bow, Mr. Noah, come, I hope you like tea, I just made a fresh one."

We both got out of the room, and I followed her. While walking, I saw the different apprentices and masters of the sanctums, communicating with each other, practicing making a portal using sling rings, and some sparring with eldritch constructs in their hands.

'Cool' I thought in awe,

When I came into this world, the only supernatural thing that I could see every day was me using my powers, but seeing others doing supernatural cool sh*ts like that is a new kind of reality check for me.

"Outstanding right?" The Ancient One said as she opened the door to a more spacious room. In the middle of it was a wooden table with tea cups on top.

"Yeah...why did you help me?" I asked her while we made our way toward the table.

"The question is, Mr. Noah, why didn't you ask for help?" She answered with a question, making me confused.

Before I could answer, however, she continued.

"Is it because you're scared, Mr. Noah? That I will kill an anomaly such as you. "

Upon arriving at the table, we both sat opposite each other while she drank the tea.

"Yes..." I answered with an unsure tone.

"You're lying, Mr. Noah." She said while she poured me a cup of tea.

"All your life, you've been alone, never experiencing what life is all about, giving up on something before you commit to it, and never connecting to someone. Tell me, Mr. Noah, what does it mean to be afraid."

"I..."

"Have you truly tasted the truth of despair when you've only lived your whole life half-heartedly? You're stuck, Mr. Noah. Anger, paranoia, sadness, grief...

"...."

Every word and every sentence she said hit me like a f*cking truck. It's like she's saying that all I've lived for is all f*cking trash.

How does she know about me, all the things that I experienced, being an outcast, not being loved, being forgotten?

"Never desiring anything worthwhile in your whole life. When's the last time you've dreamed, Mr. Noah?"

"Ho-how do you kno-, IT'S THAT F*CKING TIME STONE ISN'T! YOU- I shouted at the top of my lungs when suddenly, a cold hard palm jolted me awake.

Bang*

My body was thrown 5 meters before being crashed into a hardwood chair and, in the process, breaking it.

Once I was down, I looked at her with anger visible in my eyes, I conjured a blue fire and covered both of my arms with it, warming the temperature up and making everything in my proximity have charred parts due to the heat I was producing.

BOOM!*

Clink*

An intense flame burst within me as my body was slowly covered by a purplish-blue fire. However, just before that, a visible mirror-like veil was pushed into me, resulting in me being inside the Mirror Dimension.

"I can't have you burn the sanctum now, can I? Mr. Noah." She said as she eyed me with a cocky smile.

"You bit-"

My sentence was stopped by a levitating piece of wood and metal debris that covered my mouth.

"Language, Mr. Noah."

She said as she made an eldritch construct resembling that of a fan.

My face contorted in anger as I raised my fist and punched it toward her.

BOOSH!*

A wave of hot purple flame surrounded the Ancient One as she waved the fan and produced a big gale of wind, changing the flames' direction.

I used my ult and rushed over him by propelling myself with fire under my feet. My speed broke the sound barrier as I readied my flamed fist to punch her jaw.

"Die!" I shouted from the top of my lungs.

Just before it reached her, however, a green hue covered her body as she dodged my fist by bending her body unnaturally.

I stopped my body's motion by aiming my palm opposite to my direction. I looked at Ancient One and saw that she was already running close to me, with big purple gloves on her right arm ready to punch me.

While in midair, I attempted to dodge by propelling my feet but was unable to do it due to the eldritch chain that appeared on the ground. The eldritch chains encircled both my arms and legs, preventing me from moving, resulting in her blasting me with a full-powered punch in the stomach.

"I hope this will calm you down, Mr. Noah."

"UGHK!" I cough the air out of my lungs.

Before I could recover from her punch, she upper-cut me in the jaw, resulting in me falling to the ground motionless and unconscious.

-------------------------------------------

A man lying on a hardwood floor opened his eyes. As he closed his eyes again, he let out a sigh.

"Awake now, Mr. Noah? In every alternate future that I saw, the only way to make you surrender was to knock you out with a big, hard, cold fist. You're a very stubborn man." She said as she drank a cup of tea.

"Do you have something to say, Mr. Noah?" The Ancient One asked to Noah.

"...Noah. Just call me Noah. You make it sound like I'm an old man by calling me a mister." Noah said to the Ancient One, still staring at the wooden ceiling while lying down on the floor.

"Anything else?"

"Help...." Noah uttered in a small voice.

"Hmm?" She hummed, questioning what Noah just said.

"Please help me..." Noah uttered, exhaustedly.

"Stand up" Ancient One ordered Noah as she also stood up.

Noah stood up and faced the Ancient One.

"Say it again." She said while staring at Noah's eyes.

"...Please help me." Noah said, with a crack in his voice.

"See? It isn't hard to ask for help, Noah, now then before we start, how about you open your mind first?"

"Wha-"

Before Noah could finish his sentence, his mind was thrown into the cosmos, visiting dimension after dimension and seeing beings that bombarded his mind into a cluster.

------------------------------------------------------------

Rough breathing was heard in the room as Noah finished his existential adventure into the cosmos. Seeing beings so huge that they can fit the Earth into the palm of their hands, have slapped down Noah's ego and caused him to be a little mindful of his actions, lest he somehow become complicated with them so early.

"Now that the introductions are finished, let me give you a rundown of the course now that you're here." She said as he handed Noah a notebook.

"That will be your diary, Noah. Starting tomorrow, you will write about everything that you've experienced, felt, and events that happened in your day. "

"Wait a minute-"

"Let me finish first, Mr. Noah. That diary will help you better understand your...unpredictable personality...that and meditating for 5 hours a day. "

"What! Do you think I can keep myself quiet for 30 minutes..." Noah whined then he pondered for a few seconds.

"Ugh! Fine, fine. " Noah agreed, with annoyance written on his face.

"Good, now, in terms of lessons, my apologies, Noah, but I can't teach you my form of magic. However, what I can teach you is for you to better understand your power. Not your fire-related ones, but the energy that you are using that you termed as the 'Pure Radianite Energy'." She explained to Noah making Noah have a look of understanding.

"I understand. Do I need to come and go from my home to here for a lesson or do I have some sort of dorm here," Noah asked nonchalantly as he took a cup of tea and sipped it.

Ding!*

[Stamina and energy recovery +100% for 1 hour.]

'I'll need to have the recipe for this.' Noah mused to himself as he thought of different ways to make the Ancient One give the recipe to him.

"I recommend that you stay here, Noah, and the duration of your lesson will be 3-5 months max. Anything after that, you'll need to venture your own ability on your own." She added with a serious look on her face.

"I see...then please take care of me...Master?" Noah asked, with uncertainty evident in his voice.

"You can call me whatever you want, Noah." The Ancient One said with a smile.

"All right, hag," Noah said, with a smug look on his face.

"You can call me master." the Ancient One said in a deadpanned tone.

Noah suddenly stopped in his tracks due the sound of a system prompt that appeared in his head causing him to have a look of dazed which Ancient One noticed.

Ding!*

"Before you go, Noah, you've been asleep for 3 months integrating the energies in your body, I just thought you ought to know." The Ancient One revealed, causing Noah to have a look of despair.

"...My grind....no" Noah said in a defeated tone as he kneeled, overdramatically.

"Hahaha, in every alternate future, you always react that way whenever I say how long you've had sleep."

"...You wouldn't get it... 3 months worth of VP...gone." Noah muttered with a crazed look on his face.

"You better fix your face, Noah, or I'll extend your meditation to 6 hours." The Ancient One threatened.

"Tsked." Noah tsk'ed as he stood up.

"My room?" Noah asked with a fake smile.

"Come." The Ancient One ordered as she made her way out of the room, with Noah following her.

"...and 6 hours of meditation," the Ancient One added, prompting Noah to frown.

"Motherfu-"

"Language."
