The Greatest Weakness

Despite the security guards being better armed, it didn't change their fate as mere cannon fodder.

Barton, having no solution against the Silver Samurai, quickly drew his bow and fired.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh…"

Several guards who posed the greatest threat, wielding portable rocket launchers, were instantly taken out with headshots.

Seeing Ichiro held hostage, the remaining guards hesitated to open fire, fearing collateral damage.

Taking advantage of this, Natasha freed one hand and began shooting continuously.

"Bang, bang, bang…"

Meanwhile, Jean used her powers to hurl nearby objects at the guards.

In no time, the security team was pinned down, unable to raise their heads.

However, the appearance of these guards wasn't entirely useless. At least, amidst the chaos, Mariko had managed to slip behind their ranks.

"Fire! Now!"

But faced with the command, the guards were caught in a dilemma.

On the other side, Tony was in an increasingly perilous situation.

At this moment, Shingen Yashida swung his blade down, forcing Tony into a corner, and then slashed horizontally with another katana.

Tony could see a red gleam from the blade, like the scythe of death itself. He had just witnessed how this katana sliced through steel and concrete as easily as tofu. His suit wouldn't stand a chance.

Just when things seemed most dire, a figure suddenly crashed through the ceiling and lunged at the Silver Samurai.

Taking this chance, Tony escaped the corner and looked toward the Silver Samurai.

Standing there was a towering figure, about 1.9 meters tall, with sharp claws relentlessly striking at the Silver Samurai. But even those claws, which could tear through metal, barely scratched the surface of the Silver Samurai's armor.

Realizing the threat, Shingen Yashida quickly regained control and swung his katana.

With a tearing sound, an arm was instantly severed, and the figure, Victor Creed, retreated. Just as Shingen was about to pursue, another figure dropped down from the ceiling.

"Clang, clang…"

The Adamantium claws finally left two scratches on the Silver Samurai. But the next second, Logan was sent flying by the samurai's sword hilt.

"Who are you people?" Tony asked, helping Victor to his feet.

He felt a deep gratitude for the man who had just lost an arm to save him.

"Victor... My name's Victor."

Thanks to recent healing, Victor had regained his ability to speak and remembered his name.

Sabretooth was just a nickname; Victor was his true identity. But aside from that, he recalled nothing else.

Logan got up from the ground, looking battered, "What are you waiting for? Let's all attack together!"

With that, he leapt toward the Silver Samurai, claws extended.

But the next second, Logan was once again sent flying by Shingen.

This time, the blade slashed toward him, but Logan blocked it with his Adamantium claws, narrowly avoiding being cut to pieces.

Seeing this, Jean immediately used her telekinesis to hurl more debris at the Silver Samurai. While it wasn't very effective, it at least obstructed his vision, creating opportunities for her teammates to strike.

Barton drew a piercing arrow, aiming for a potential weak spot on the Silver Samurai, and fired.

"Clang, clang, clang…"

But alas, the Silver Samurai's creators had considered his weaknesses, reinforcing the thinner areas with extra Adamantium. Even the piercing arrow proved futile.

Seeing that the piercing arrow had no effect, Barton switched to an explosive arrow.

"Boom!" A loud explosion erupted.

But soon enough, the Silver Samurai stood there, unharmed.

Witnessing this, Barton lost all will to fight and turned to glance at Mariko in the distance.

Beside him, Natasha quietly holstered her pistol.

At this moment, Victor freed himself from Tony's support, "I… I'm fine. Go… Fight "

Tony, with a look of reluctance, tried to stop him. Victor's condition was pitiful, and Tony couldn't bear to let him continue fighting.

But in the next instant, Tony's pupils shrank. He saw the flesh on Victor's severed arm begin to regenerate rapidly.

"You… You're a mutant?"

It was Tony's first time witnessing a mutant up close. Watching Victor's arm regrow so swiftly left him stunned.

Victor took a few steps forward and once again charged at the Silver Samurai, only to be knocked away again.

Logan followed suit, leaping in, but he too was repelled.

Watching these two strangers relentlessly attack, Tony's heart was deeply moved. Their persistence, their refusal to give up despite the odds, their fearless determination—these were qualities Tony had always lacked.

Knowing full well that his repulsor blasts wouldn't be effective, Tony still activated them.

"Boom, boom, boom…"

The battle raged fiercely.

However, it was clear that Shingen, wielding the seemingly invincible Silver Samurai, was holding his own against the four of them, steadily gaining the upper hand.

The situation soon took a turn for the worse. Victor was struck again, this time losing a leg, rendering him unable to fight.

With only Logan left, the pressure was immense.

"If this goes on, we're all dead!" Barton muttered, frustration etched across his face. He raised his bow several times, only to lower it again in despair.

In this moment, he loathed his own powerlessness. He couldn't even break through the enemy's defenses.

Natasha suddenly spoke up, "From what I've observed, Shingen Yashida's armor seems to lack a shock-absorption system."

At first, Barton was confused, but he quickly understood and looked toward the floor.

"Tony, Jean, aim for the ground!"

Natasha explained, "The Silver Samurai's armor is extremely heavy, but there's no shock-absorption system!"

Tony and Jean immediately caught on. Tony's repulsor blasts and Jean's telekinesis were now directed at the floor.

"Boom, boom…"

The ground began to crack and crumble under the assault.

"You despicable cowards! How dare you!" Feeling the Silver Samurai becoming increasingly unstable, Shingen began to panic.

Just as Natasha had surmised, the armor was heavily reinforced for defense, with no system to absorb shock. A fall from a great height wouldn't damage the armor, but Shingen himself would be crushed inside.

"Jarvis, full power!"

With a powerful blast from Tony's repulsor, the ground finally gave way, collapsing beneath them.

"Boom, boom, boom…"

"No!"

With a final, furious roar, Shingen fell through the crumbling floor, his heavy armor triggering a chain reaction of collapses.

Layer after layer fell beneath him, and soon Shingen was gone from sight.

In the confusion, no one noticed that Ichiro Yashida had been shot in the head, and Mariko Yashida had vanished entirely.
