⚡️CH 33: Mystiques CUTE side?

"What are you doing?" Mystique asked after she noticed Zaylifer slightly floating even though he was buckled in.

Not hearing a response, Mystique naturally felt like she was being ignored.

"Adjusting," Zaylifer replied, taking his peaceful time. Beast smirked, knowing Mystique's temperament.

With her curiosity outweighing her annoyance, she asked another question, "Adjusting to what?"

"This!" Zaylifer said somewhat intensely while slowly opening his eyes and looking into Mystique's pale blue eyes.

Slightly shocked, Mystique witnessed as Zaylifer's eyes changed to an appearance she was familiar with.

Although slightly different, the yellow sclera was definitely the same as hers when she turned, with only the pupils being different, as Zaylifer's looked like a sun.

Reverting his eyes back, Zaylifer slightly smiled before closing his eyes and fully meditating.

Blocking off the world, Zaylifer put his mind and body to complete rest as he took a nap.

Every second that went by brought peace and tranquility as there was only silence and darkness.

The peace turned into hours and days as Zaylifer played with the two forces in his mindscape.

Creating flame thrones, lightning palaces, flame towers, a model of the aircraft they were in, and solidifying everything to the smallest of details, going from illusory to physical.

Sixty seconds later, the aircraft arrived as the basketball court opened up and landed. The days, or seemingly weeks, of peace came to an end with one sentence.

"We're here," Charles said as the landing platform came down and we all walked out with Moira MacTaggert (CIA agent) not too far away.

"Interesting…" Zaylifer thought as he started to put things together.

"Mystique, why don't you show Zaylifer around? Moira, Beast, and I will deal with the other matters," Charles suggested.

"Sure…" Mystique replied, walking off while glancing between Moira and Charles.

"Jealous?" Zaylifer added, simultaneously appearing beside her.

"No, but he hasn't changed even after all these years," she said, letting on more than she normally would.

"Changed how?" Zaylifer asked.

"He believes Meta-humans and humans can coexist," Mystique replied while entering the lobby area.

"What do you believe, Mystique?"

"I don't believe we can, Zaylifer, at least not anymore. You?"

"Like any nation or empire, it just depends on who's running it. Believe me?"

After hearing Zaylifer's words, Mystique donned a reflective face, completely forgetting about showing him around.

"I'll show you. Come," Zaylifer said as he reached his hand out, seemingly offering a solution to a problem Mystique had been contemplating for years now.

Grabbing his hand, she felt a ticklish current wash over her, making her giggle a little and then blush, sounding like a little girl.

"Cute." That was the last thing she heard Zaylifer say as their location changed.

Appearing above New York City, Zaylifer let go of Mystique's hand only to have her immediately latch onto his arm with her legs tightly wrapped around his waist.

"...My fault, it's okay, you won't fall. I promise," said Zay softly while prying her hands and legs off him after she gave a little nod.

Seemingly standing on nothing, Mystique, used to Magneto's similar ability, was only initially afraid due to unfamiliarity.

After calming down, she asked, "Why did you bring me here?"

"What do you mostly see below you?" he questioned back.

"Humans," answered Mystique.
