"My dear brother, the great ruler of the heavenly palace, you seem to have foreseen all this long ago!"
Loki is far beyond the galaxy. Using the power of the psychic scepter, he projected his own psychic reflection in front of Caesar.
"As a Protoss, seeing some parts of the future is nothing! And anyway, there's really no better place to go than Midgard to grab the Space gem."
With a warm smile on his face, Caesar greeted Loki cordially.
It is extremely difficult to take the mind scepter from Thanos. But getting the psychic scepter from Loki might just be a deal.
The Tesseract started out as an Asgardian treasure. Thanos had attacked Asgard thousands of years ago in an attempt to capture the Space gem. However, he was directly beaten by Odin and no longer dared to enter the defense line of the Nine Realms rashly.
The Time Gem is in the hands of the Sorcerer Supreme, Ancient One, and Thanos knows it well. But due to the power of Odin and the Ancient One, they could only be captured after they both died. Now, although somewhat old, Odin is still alive. Thanos has no confidence in taking Odin's Meteor Strike, nor can he handle the Sorcerer Supreme with the Time Gem in her hands. He would never go to Midgard himself now.
Thousands of years have passed, and Thanos is still obsessed with the Tesseract. After the Collector showed the power of space, it was suspected that the Collector exchanged the Tesseract from Odin. But when Thanos went to fight him, he found that it was not the power of the Space gem.
After Caesar also showed the power of space, Thanos suspected that Caesar, as an Aesir god, stole the Tesseract and then escaped from Asgard. The Supergiant, who is best at reconnaissance, was also sent to test Caesar. As a result, the Supergiant died, but it was also discovered that Caesar did not have the power of the Space gem. Caesar had already gained the ability to teleport at that time.
After talking to Caesar, Thanos' desire to keep the universe in balance grew stronger.
There is also a growing desire for Infinite Gems.
Until not long ago, Caesar purposely used the Space Gem to create erratic spatial fluctuations.
Moreover, the place where this fluctuation is reported is Midgard!
Midgard belongs to the Nine Realms.
Assuming that Thanos himself cannot come to Midgard to capture the Tesseract, there is no one better than Loki, Odin's son and one of Midgard's titular rulers.
It makes sense for Loki to retrieve the treasure that has always belonged to Asgard, the Tesseract, from Midgard.
And then, offer it to Thanos as a friendly exchange.
Foreign enemies invading to snatch treasures and princes' civil strife leading to friendly exchanges are two completely different concepts.
Odin gave Caesar dominion over Midgard, but that was only a secret deal between Odin and Caesar. Officially, Midgard is still ruled by Asgard.
Even if Loki brings countless Chitauri, it wouldn't be seen as an invasion by foreign enemies; at most, it could be seen as civil strife.
The Sorcerer Supreme won't intervene.
Caesar thought of this from the very beginning, so he hid the news that the Space Gem was in his possession as early as possible. Then, he made a deal with Loki.
Now, the deal appears to be a success. Caesar thought about it and asked Loki to provide the coordinates. Then, he immediately used the power of the Space Gem to teleport and get the Mind Scepter directly in his hand.
But Loki watched Caesar silently. He hadn't provided the coordinates yet. Caesar noticed a change in Loki. He could see that Loki wanted more.
Seeing Caesar's expression change, Loki hurriedly said,
"My dear brother, I was just wondering if one, or even two, of the planets of life you promised me could be replaced by Midgard."
"I want to rule all of Midgard within the Nine Realms! I will prove to everyone that I will be a qualified ruler!"
From start to finish, Loki has always wanted nothing more than to prove himself.
Prove himself worthy of being Odin's son.
Prove himself enough to be a qualified king.
But he didn't understand the importance and mystery of Midgard.
He didn't understand that Midgard now belonged to Caesar.
Caesar has established Angel's faith there and signed the oath of God and Man with all the believers.
At the very least, they must be protected from the domination of foreign enemies.
Caesar was silent for a moment, not speaking, just looking at Loki coldly.
Loki took a step back. After traveling through the universe and learning from Thanos, he had a clearer understanding of Caesar's strength.
However, the desire to prove himself finally overcame the fear of Caesar.
For Frigga's sake, Caesar would never take his life for some trivial matter.
Loki raised his head and said excitedly, "I am the king! I am the most suitable ruler of the Nine Realms!"
Seeing that Caesar still didn't answer, Loki whispered again, "Thanos has complied with my request. He will send a Chitauri fleet to fight for me. I can easily take Midgard!"
"So, you want to threaten me with Thanos?" Caesar's gaze at Loki grew colder. "So, what's the price?"
"I'll take the Tesseract for him," Loki replied softly.
Then he added, "I just need an army to rule Midgard! Never give the Tesseract to Thanos. My dear brother, if you help me rule Midgard, I will give you the psychic scepter immediately!"
Caesar was silent for a while, trying to understand. Then he looked at Loki coldly and said, "Loki, it looks like you don't understand. But that's okay. I can help you open the space channel, attract Chitauri's fleet, and let them help you rule Midgard. As long as you can rule Midgard smoothly, I can guarantee that Asgard will not interfere."
A cold light flashed in Caesar's eyes. Chitauri's invasion would benefit Caesar. Tony Stark needs to understand the situation on Earth. Those who have just settled need to know who will keep them safe. The Angel's Legion will give Chitauri an unforgettable lesson.
As for Asgard's opinion, Midgard's reign has been secretly handed over to Caesar, so Asgard will definitely not interfere. Only Caesar had an opinion.
Plus, if Thanos didn't really feel he could get a second Infinity Gem right away, he wouldn't take the opportunity of Bifrost's destruction to go to Nidavellir and force the dwarfs to forge the Infinity Gauntlet for him. If Thanos doesn't go, won't the gift that Caesar prepared for him be scrapped? If Thanos doesn't go, how does Caesar get those stubborn dwarfs to concentrate on his work?
Since Loki wants to play, Caesar doesn't mind letting the Battle of New York repeat itself in a different way.
Caesar and Loki agreed that after ten days, when the majority of the Chitauri fleet was assembled, he would use the power of the Space Gem to pick up Loki. Then, five days after Loki's arrival, he would open the door of space, attract the Chitauri army, and rule the Earth.
Blink! Ten days later...
