As his physical strength doubled, Cohen pushed his compound eyes to their limits.
Amidst the six attacking blades, he found the best opportunity to evade and positioned himself in the safest spot. This was also the ideal place for a counterattack.
His arms moved like shadows, and the silver-white daggers cut through the air in a perfect arc, aimed straight for Murakami's throat!
The strike was as fast as lightning.
Murakami could only watch in horror as the sharp dagger came toward him, his body freezing up. He desperately tried to channel that ancient power within him, finally shifting his body just in time.
"Thud!"
The dagger pierced into his collarbone!
Murakami let out a painful scream, stunning everyone.
The momentum of the three people attacking Cohen slowed.
Kingpin's eyes sharpened, and he said coldly to the man in the blue-red uniform behind him, "Suo Mo, it's your turn. Attack immediately!"
The man in the blue-red uniform didn't seem afraid at all: "Tsk, tsk, I thought these few useless people could handle it themselves!"
Suo Mo cracked his knuckles and bent down into a starting pose like a sprinter. "Ding-ding, the 100-meter champion is here!"
"Whoosh!"
As Cohen was pursuing Murakami, his peripheral vision caught a shadow. He barely had time to kick Murakami in the lower back before a punch quickly enlarged in his vision!
"Bang!"
A punch slammed into his chest, forcing him to step back three paces!
Cohen's eyes flashed with disbelief. This guy, Suo Mo, was fast!
According to the system, Cohen's speed attribute had already surpassed 100, but this Suo Mo was still far faster!
Next, Suo Mo unleashed a barrage of attacks.
Fortunately, he wasn't a master martial artist, so Cohen managed to keep his face intact, but the hits were still making him look worse and worse, accumulating injuries over time.
Indeed, the famous martial arts scholar Fire Cloud Evil God was right—in martial arts, speed is invincible!
Cohen's Dragon Breath explosion state could burst out multiple times, but it couldn't maintain a continuous explosion for long.
He had to break the deadlock!
While Suo Mo attacked, the other people surrounded him.
Cohen's eyes lingered on two of them for a moment. As Suo Mo came at him again, he used that momentum to retreat a few steps and then immediately turned and ran!
"Hahahaha, Devil Face, this parking lot may be big, but do you really think you can escape?"
Kingpin's voice echoed in the underground parking lot.
Of course, Cohen knew that he couldn't escape.
The exit was definitely blocked, and he couldn't outrun Suo Mo.
So, his escape was just a feint.
He turned and ran toward the stairwell.
When he first entered the parking lot, he circled a large distance with no one around. The gunmen and Kingpin must have come from there, so the stairwell was the only exit.
Kingpin noticed his intention and smiled coldly, his tone tinged with a hint of admiration: "You're even smarter than I thought, but so what if you go up? There are still my people waiting for you!"
Cohen ignored him as he reached the metal door of the stairwell, his eyes narrowing. The giant horn must still be waiting for him behind the door.
He hesitated slightly as he opened the door.
Kingpin, watching from a distance, smiled smugly.
Suo Mo was already behind him, and Cohen had no choice.
As soon as the door creaked open, Cohen saw the large horn, its red light flashing brightly!
No one else saw it, but a smile tugged at Cohen's lips.
He opened the door and immediately dodged!
Though the shockwave was fast, Cohen couldn't fully avoid it, but he managed to create more space for Suo Mo.
The man in blue-red moved incredibly fast, lunging forward and then retreating just as quickly, leaving only an exclamation: "F***!"
After the blast, the giant horn entered recharge mode, and Cohen took a glance before closing the door and running in a different direction within the parking lot.
Everyone was confused. Why had he opened the door only to take the hit and then run away instead of going in?
Kingpin's smile gradually faded.
Earlier, he had implied that Devil Face couldn't escape the parking lot because the exit was blocked.
The smart ones would immediately think of the stairwell—the same path he and his gunmen had come through.
But what Kingpin didn't tell them was that the stairwell was also blocked.
Once Devil Face entered, he would become a trapped rat in the narrow space, waiting to die.
Unfortunately, Cohen was a bit smarter than he anticipated.
But what difference did it make?
The parking lot was vast, but finding him was just a matter of time.
He glanced at the bloodstains left at the stairwell and calmly instructed his people: "Looks like he's badly wounded. Go find him and bring him to me."
Meanwhile, Cohen was hiding behind a thick concrete pillar.
His communication with David was cut off, and though he was injured and the enemy was closing in, there seemed to be no way out. Yet, there was no panic on his face.
Turning his head, the closest enemy was Wade, who hadn't officially become Deadpool yet.
He was skipping and humming a song while walking: "La la la, after finishing the job, I'll get the money. With money comes hope.
La la la, half for Vanessa, half for my treatment, la la la, my little lungs, they need..."
"Wade, how much did Kingpin offer you? I'll pay double!"
A low voice interrupted his singing.
Wade froze, turned around, and saw Cohen hiding behind the pillar. After checking his teammates weren't paying attention, he flashed to the pillar as well.
The two were very close, separated only by two long knives and two short daggers.
Wade looked serious: "I'm a mercenary. Our profession has the highest code of ethics!"
"Three times."
Cohen observed the positioning of Wade's teammates: "There are too many of them."
"Four times!"
"Damn, you've successfully caught my attention. Can I pay you first?"
"Hehe, I don't trust you," Cohen whispered with a smile.
"How could you not trust me? I'm all about professional ethics!"
Cohen rolled his eyes. Deadpool following professional ethics? I'd rather believe Captain America is Hydra!
Though, this Wade wasn't yet Deadpool.
"I can cure your advanced-stage lung cancer. Interested?"
"What? How do you know... wait, did I sing that just now?"
Wade frowned, thinking for a moment: "No, so how would you..."
"I can also take care of Vanessa while you get treated."
"My f***ing god, who are you?"
Cohen's voice dropped low, like a lure: "You've seen what I can do. I'm serious.
Aren't you willing to just die like this?
Aren't you willing to leave Vanessa alone in this world, only to have other men hold her?"
Wade's eyes grew fierce: "Are you sure you're not lying? Otherwise, I'll come back from the dead and haunt you!"
Cohen raised three fingers, swearing solemnly: "I swear on the name of Iron Man!
If I lie to you, I'll be in a car hit by a missile, a big hole in my chest, and still survive, locked in a cave and tortured!"
