Susan

"Reed?" Alex's brows furrowed in surprise at the name. It struck a chord of familiarity within him.

As he sifted through his memories, it dawned on him—Reed was indeed Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four.

But why was he here?

Unaware that Susan Storm wasn't yet Reed's girlfriend, Alex pondered the reason for Reed's presence.

"Turning to the Tony Stark for assistance…" Reed flashed a wry smile. "If I could, why would I seek your help?"

"Mr. Reed, allow me to be blunt. We're here to launch satellites and pursue ventures that benefit the company. Your idea seems far-fetched. We lack the understanding of the universe. Investing heavily in such speculative endeavors would be unwise," John interjected, shaking his head.

The notion that the secrets of human genes lay within the cosmos seemed absurd to him.

"Is the human body linked to cosmos? Interesting" Alex mused.

Moreover, Stark Industries wasn't lacking in funds. If they were to provide this product for study, wouldn't Susan be his?

"Trust me, this is the result of years of research. The structure of the human body bears striking similarities to that of the galaxy. Human DNA within a cosmic storm shares remarkable similarities. If one could enter such a storm, unraveling the secrets of human genetic code would be entirely plausible," Reed explained convincingly.

"Mr. Richards, likening a cosmic storm to human DNA and comparing Sagittarius to a horse—isn't that a bit far-fetched? The universe is vast, and there are countless phenomena beyond our scientific comprehension," John interjected skeptically.

Reed's expression fell; it seemed no one was buying into his ideas.

Clap, clap, clap!

Suddenly, applause rang out.

Reed turned to see a young, handsome man approaching, the source of the applause.

"Not bad. I like your theory," Alex remarked with a smile as he approached.

"BOSS." John greeted excitedly.

"Well, allocate the necessary funds. I trust you won't let me down, Richard?" Alex smiled, patting Reed on the shoulder.

"Definitely! I won't disappoint your trust!" Reed beamed with happiness.

"Okay, get to work," Alex said, giving Reed a reassuring smile.

Originally intending to find Raven, Alex hadn't expected these unexpected gains. Life is indeed full of surprises.

"Boss, are you here to inspect the work?" John inquired promptly.

After years of leading Stark Industries, almost every employee recognized Alex's face.

"No, I'm here to find Raven. Carry on," Alex replied casually.

"Understood, BOSS." John nodded and promptly left, resolved to keep an eye on Reed's research project.

As a subordinate, it was essential to understand the boss's intentions, no matter the reason.

Heading to the training base, Alex contemplated the cosmic storm that Reed is aiming for. He need to take part in it.

The training base segregated men and women's training areas. Entering, Alex observed two individuals working out, their sweat-soaked clothes accentuating their perfect figures.

One was familiar to Alex, having touched every inch of her skin, while the other's face exuded a similar familiarity, much like his encounter with Reed earlier.

Without a doubt, this was Susan Storm.

Alex pondered why Reed and Susan were seeking help from the Stark Industries. Nevertheless, it suited him.
