"Although it is a trinity, there are still three people." Max smiled and stopped eating breakfast. "I'm very curious what will happen to your relationship. No one can accurately tell who the three of you are? It's easy to make mistakes about your girlfriends. Moreover, memories and thoughts will be shared. Isn't it the same as falling in love with one person? Fall in love with three people?"
Esme said with a smile. "We all have our own independent thinking and personality, but we can't refuse this kind of sharing. In other words, sharing is our trait, so if we find a boyfriend, we should also share it."
"Being your boyfriend is really not easy." Max said with a smile.
"Why?" Esme didn't understand. "If you catch one, you can get three, isn't it?"
"It's good, but the same physical strength has to be paid three times. No, more than three times. You can take a rest and rotate, but he can't." If the three cuckoo sisters take turns, well, it is simply Endless, never ending, I don't even know who it is.
Esme was stunned and smiled. "This does require great physical strength." After speaking, Esme stared at Max for a few seconds before continuing. "How long will it take for your Ability to be successfully developed? The situation is getting more and more troublesome."
"Can you take me if you succeed?"
"Bring you?" Max looked at Esme.
Esme nodded. "If we can really travel to other parallel worlds, then our hive thinking may be able to connect the two worlds to deliver messages."
After all, it is not two cities but two worlds. Esme's proposal really made Max a little bit moved.
If you go to Avengers, the world will not strongly target Mutant, but it is also not a safe world. If you want to develop in that world, manpower and material resources are definitely needed, and he still needs the resources of this world. Taking a step back, it is impossible for him to transfer everyone over after successfully studying The Multiverse Portal, and it is impossible for him to go back and forth often.
Although it has not been thoroughly studied yet, Max knows that opening the door of that caliber will create tremendous strain on him, so it is still necessary to communicate between the two worlds using other means. If it's just spiritual Ability, even Professor X can't communicate between the two worlds. Only the special honeycomb thinking of Cuckoo Sisters can do it.
"It depends on your performance," Max remarked to Esme, indicating that while the Cuckoo sisters had proven their value, they still needed to earn his trust.
Esme responded with a smile, opting not to speak but instead brought out a dinner plate after Max finished his breakfast.
Days passed like years.
For Mutants, the end seemed inevitable as Sentinels proliferated, capturing and killing more of their kind. Their corpses were either taken away by Sentinels for research or callously discarded in designated dumping grounds, their numbers accumulating like a grim mountain.
Among them lay the corpse of an X-Men member.
Beast.
Hank McCoy, also known as Beast, was a renowned figure in the Marvel world. Proficient in human evolutionary biology, genetics, and biochemistry, he contributed to weapon development for the X-Men. He was also a pacifist, aligning with Professor X's ideals, and served as a Mutant diplomat.
Now, his dismantled corpse lay among many others, his once vibrant blue hair stained with blood, symbolizing the bleak fate of Mutants.
Yukio's voice interrupted the solemn atmosphere, drawing everyone downstairs to the living room. Their expressions were somber, tinged with a hint of discomfort upon hearing her voice.
Viper couldn't resist a laugh, teasing, "Even at a time like this, he's still preoccupied with such matters."
"He's been researching tirelessly, but it seems there's been no breakthrough in critical areas," Blink noted.
Esme spoke up, "He's under immense pressure."
Sophie added, "For the future of all Mutants."
Phoebe chimed in, "It's good for him to let off steam. It can help ease his emotions and allow him to continue studying his Ability with better focus."
Although it felt a little absurd, there was no denying that the three Cuckoo Sisters were right.
Now, nothing was more crucial than the success of the crossing gate.
"But... Yukio can't handle it alone? Wouldn't it be more uncomfortable if you didn't let off steam?" Kitty whispered.
Several people exchanged glances, considering Max's abnormal physical strength and recovery ability. Yukio indeed couldn't handle it alone!
"Isn't there enough of us?" Viper chimed in suddenly.
"I will go furst." Viper stood up with a smile. "To be honest, I should have done this a long time."
"Wait!"
As Viper was about to go upstairs, Esme spoke up.
"Are you planning to join me?" Viper said with a smile.
"Sentinels are hunting Mutants."
"And they're approaching here!"
Sophie and Phoebe said in union.
Viper's earlier lighthearted expression vanished instantly.
If Sentinels approached, they would undoubtedly be discovered.
"Go upstairs to find Max and enter the Diamensional space."
Everyone hurriedly ascended the stairs.
The room door suddenly swung open. Max and Yukio were startled. Just as Max was about to speak, he heard Viper say, "Sentinels are approaching here."
Max was slightly shocked and opened the adjacent door.
Everyone stepped into the Diamensional space and peered outside the villa.
"I need to get dressed." Yukio said awkwardly, covering herself.
Viper smiled and remarked, "We're all women, and he is your man. What's the difference whether we wear clothes or not?"
"Here they come!"
Observing the open space outside the villa, Max spoke solemnly.
A man sprinted back in terror, and behind him, a swarm of Sentinels descended from the sky.
