Making the Monster Part-1

<3 years later>

Over the past three years, Leo has grown surprisingly fast, he was able to walk when he was 6 months old and was able to speak fluently at the tender age of 2. His physical appearance is 6 years old despite being 3 years old.

<Location-Unknown>

In the forest, a black-haired child is fighting with the brown-haired woman.

"You still let your anger take control Leo if you lose control not only will you be a danger to yourself but also your surrounding.", said Carol by throwing the sucker punch and sending Leo hurtling to the ground.

"(Cough Cough)Admit it, I nearly had you there", said Leo as he stood up from the ground and leaped towards Carol by flanking towards her right side.

Carol dodges Leo and grabs him by his right leg and uses his force against him and sends him towards a tree kicking him in his shrine.

"Okay enough of this. Now give 100 pushups or forget your dinner", Carol said in a cold voice.

"Like anyone wants to eat your sorry ass food", Leo whispers quietly

Carol hears this and sending dirty looks towards him

"What did you say?" asks Carol in a dangerously cold voice sending a shiver down Leo's spine.

"Nothing", replied Leo and started doing his pushups.

As Carol watches Leo doing pushups she heavy heartedly admits that she has grown quite affectionate towards this child over the last three years.

But she also knows that the ancient DNA inside Leo contains powers and mutations that can exceed the omega level mutants.

If Leo were to be found by the Essex Corp. then they can make him a weapon of mass destruction.

With all these thoughts Carol goes towards the cabin.

"After you finish 100 pushups, give me 100 situps and 100 pullups.

Complete this in half an hour and come to the cabin for dinner or go to bed empty stomach", said Carol.

"Ah! My life", sighed Leo in exhaustion.

<Inside the cabin>

Exhausted, Leo falls into the bed after finishing the god awful dinner

Leo gazes outside the window towards the sky and thinks about his life, Leo and Carol had been living in that same old cabin since he can remember. He admits that he does not like his life and every day he has to wake up early for training till breakfast. Carol makes sure that he gains every possible knowledge there is. Carol herself is one of the brilliant scientists and she shares her knowledge with Leo as he can pick up everything very accurately and easily as he possesses an eidetic memory.

Despite being with Carol all the time he feels lonely as he wants something else rather than training all the time. Leo is lazy and curious as he always likes to know more about the world, the mystery of the universe.

As he studies the history of mankind he had to admit that it is quite violent, a war based on religion just to prove their ideology and religion are right even if it takes millions of innocent lives.

Mankind is greedy and power-hungry and at the same time, they fear the unknown.

Carol always says that he is different. His kind is known as mutants who possess special powers and god-like abilities.

Leo idolizes Captain America the first superhero who stopped Nazi and HYDRA and saved the world by sacrificing his own life.

At the same time, Leo also admits that Captain America was a soldier who followed orders.

Leo does not like to be ordered around it's pissed him off very much.

Whenever Carol becomes bossy (which she always is) he becomes angry, angry enough to hurt someone, angry enough to kill someone. Leo sees Carol as his mother even if she gives him cold shoulder and he knows that Carol comes as cold-hearted, battle-worn but she cares for him, feeds him, gives him knowledge which he is always hungry for, and even he has to admit that he loves her and that she also loves him.

With these thoughts in his mind, he drifts off.

<Training area near the cabin>

Leo and Carol are training as per the daily routine. Carol is somewhat angered and in a dilemma, as there has been no contact from Dr. Abraham for the past 3 months and their supplies are running low and if this continues she will have to move out of the safe zone with the risk of endangering their location as the Essex's eyes are everywhere.

As Carol was frustrated about all this she was taking out this frustration on poor Leo by attacking him more rigorously.

Leo noticed that Carol is frustrated and he has become the target of her frustration.

As this charade continues Carol corners Leo and sends a nearly fatal kick towards him, after receiving this kick Leo was becoming angrier and angrier by receiving this one-sided beat down something clicks within him, something that is eager to come out, to devour something, something chaotic.

Carol notices the sudden change in the surrounding temperature as it becomes warmer, suddenly she notices that Leo is emitting heat waves, the red fire was coming out of Leo which suddenly came hurtling towards her, Carol tries to dodge this fire but is too late, she lets out a scream as it burns her right arm.

When Leo hears her scream he snaps out of it and looks at Carol's burnt arm in horror not believing that he did this to her.

Carol looks at the horrified and scared Leo with surprise that is his powers are unleashing.

In a shaking voice, Leo asks himself, "What have I done?"
