Thor, still suspended in mid-air, glanced down at the dark ball of energy in Max's hand. "Sorcerer?" he asked, a mix of curiosity and disbelief in his tone.

"Yes, I am," Max replied confidently, a smirk playing on his lips. From the corner of his eye, he noticed Phil Coulson observing them, though he already knew about their presence. S.H.I.E.L.D. had their agents watching everything.

Max then raised both hands and declared, "Night's Protection!" The dark ball expanded, casting a protective shield over the entire town, creating a barrier that shimmered with an ethereal glow.

"Now, I can fight the big guy without any destruction," Max said, turning his attention to the Destroyer, which was looming ominously nearby.

"Wait, are you really going to fight?" Peter asked, looking a bit apprehensive.

"Yes, and record it for future reference," Max replied, his tone casual yet resolute. Peter nodded, appreciating the humor while feeling the weight of the impending battle.

Though, he is also wondering how Max will fight, he has seen Max fight with Rize , the vampire but it was not any flashy battle, just swordsmanship but maybe he can now see Max in full action.

Thud!

Thor hit the ground with a heavy impact, shaking the earth beneath him as he stood up, clearly shaken from his encounter with Max. He looked at Jane and Sif, who approached him with concern.

"Are you alright?" Jane asked, her voice laced with worry as Sif checked Thor for injuries.

"I am, but who is he?" Thor asked, pointing at Max, who was now striding confidently toward the Destroyer.

"I don't know," Jane replied, her brow furrowing. "But he seems powerful."

Meanwhile, Phil Coulson was on the radio, asking questions to the intelligence department of S.H.I.E.L.D. regarding Max and his companions. "We've got a college student here. What do we know about him?" he asked, his voice steady but filled with urgency.

Coulson was informed about Max's background, remembering of their earlier talk. "He might be here to help, but how did he even know Thor was here?"

"and the other guy called Peter called the big one Destroyer, they know about it too" Phil thought as he wondered who these too are.

Loki while in Asgard looked at the dome covering the whole Town " was there a sorcerer among Thor's friends?" he thought, the thought that Max could be from Earth never crossed his mind.

"Another ant," Loki mumbled to himself, observing Max as he prepared to intercept the Destroyer's massive attack. With a flick of his wrist, he commanded the metallic giant to strike at the newcomer.

Max merely smiled as he watched the Destroyer's punch come barreling toward him. He raised his hand confidently to intercept the massive blow, the size difference between him and the robot was laughable.

"Get out! It's not something you can stop with your hand!" Thor shouted at Max, stepping back as he prepared to intervene. But to everyone's astonishment, Max stood his ground, not flinching as the colossal punch descended upon him.

As the punch landed, a burst of energy rippled outward, but instead of being flattened by the impact, Max's hands remained steady, gripping the Destroyer's fist as if it were merely a toy. The air shimmered with residual energy, but he showed no signs of movement.

Loki's eyes widened in disbelief as he contemplated the source of Max's power. "How is he...?" he wondered, unable to fathom how a human could withstand the might of the Destroyer.

Max seized the moment, his grip tightening on the Destroyer's hand. With a swift motion, he channeled energy from his own body, absorbing the destructive force directly into himself. The Destroyer staggered, the surprise evident in its metallic frame as Max leaped upward, targeting its chest.

In one fluid motion, Max delivered a powerful strike directly into the Destroyer's core, using all the strength he could muster. A brilliant flash erupted from the impact, sending shockwaves throughout the area, and for a moment, it seemed like the world stood still.

Thor's eyes widened as he watched in awe. "How is he doing that?" he exclaimed, shocked by the sheer power Max displayed against such a formidable foe.

The Destroyer momentarily faltered, its systems flickering as it struggled to regain balance. Max landed gracefully on the ground, the air still crackling with energy around him. "Looks like your toy is not as invincible as you thought, Loki," he said, a confident grin on his face.

Loki looked gobsmacked as he beheld the massive hole in the middle of the Destroyer's chest. He couldn't believe his eyes—was he seeing this for real or was it just a figment of his imagination? The Destroyer was forged from Uru, a metal so powerful it was nearly indestructible. How could Max have torn through it so effortlessly?

Max glanced over at Thor, who was still recovering from the shock. "Are you still standing there?" he asked, a teasing smirk on his face.

"Are you proving that you're unworthy?" he taunted again, watching as Thor's expression shifted from disbelief to a mix of frustration and determination.

Thor clenched his fists, feeling the weight of his own inadequacies. "Yes, I am not worthy," he admitted with a hint of resignation, then he straightened, his pride flaring back to life. "So what? I am Thor Odinson, God of Thunder!"

With renewed vigor, Thor charged at the Destroyer, his determination igniting a spark of hope within him. He didn't need Mjolnir to prove himself; he would reclaim his honor through sheer strength. However, as he approached the formidable opponent, the Destroyer regained its composure, its golden eyes flickering to life as it prepared to retaliate.

"Thor!" Sif shouted, sensing the incoming danger. "Be careful!"

But it was too late. The Destroyer, now fully alert, raised its massive arm and swung it toward Thor. He crossed his arms over his body in a futile attempt to shield himself, but the force of the blow was overwhelming. Thor was sent flying, crashing into the ground with a heavy thud that echoed through the battlefield, his body wracked with pain from the impact.
