[4 days before the Party]

"I didn't know that you had Mr. Essex on your team." Lennon respected Sinister. So when Sinister joined this project he was ecstatic.

"Mr. Hanley specifically requested me to be part of this project. And I found this extremely interesting as well. So I decided to take part in it." 

He is a smooth talker so he can easily make people believe in his lies. And he was in his human disguise which was of a handsome man, So Lennon trusted him easily.

"Now, I didn't think that you could get these many famous scientists on your team. I am surprised." Essex smiled looking at the scientists walking around.

I had only selective knowledge about Marvel as I only read the mainstream comics... so only the famous characters or ones that had quite a massive influence on the comics were the ones I remembered. So, I could not get every supergenius in this project. Some were either way before this timeline or not yet born.

As for the concern of having the secrets leaked… There was no concern. All of them signed the contract which clearly stated that their life would be terminated if they leaked any information about this project.

Most of my minions keep a watch on them 24/7. So if they spot even the smallest sign of betrayal... Their heads will be chopped off.

"With the help of Mr. Essex, this project should be completed within five years instead of the initial ten." 

Both me and Essex nodded. It was true… and in all honesty, Essex can shorten that even more. But he and I will be busy with Wolverine's formula.

Now, the Golden Sentry Serum is far better than the Wolverine one… But it also has the additional problem of the 'Void.' Using the sentry formula for a quick power boost is a bad idea… A really bad one. So to remove the Void issue, Essex and I will have to modify the formula even beyond… which will take a few couple decades. Because this is not just a genetic issue but it involves a lot of other issues… like magic and other dimensions.

So our best bet is to go with the Wolverine formula for now. We will deal with the Sentry later.

[20 minutes later]

"So that's what you did with Victor's body." Essex was impressed.

"Yeah. The chemicals are specifically designed to keep the body cells alive. Despite him being dead… his body cells are still alive, making it ideal for research." Both of us looked towards the body of Victor Creed which was kept isolated within a glass tube filled with green liquid.

"So what are you going to do with it?" He raised an eyebrow. "He is pretty worthless for you now that you have the Sentry formula and the martial arts that you are learning. And with the Wolverine serum, you are developing… I don't see a point in you making a sabertooth serum." He rubbed his chin.

"I have plans." I put on a smile. "Which will be revealed… soon."

"You know… I can cut open your skull and look inside it for information." He said with a slight frown. 

"You are going to launch your own industrial group pretty soon… And also your 'Internet' will be launched within a few months." He smirked. "Good luck with handling all that fame."

*Sigh* 

"It will be a pain. But all that annoyance will be worth it." I said shaking my head.

"You are already famous… but after a few months… The entire world will know about you. Humans and Mutants alike." His smile vanished and he turned serious. "Be sure to watch your back."

Both of us remained silent. 

"I will."

[Day of the Party]

[Hellfire Club]

"Ah, Marcellus! It's great to have you here." I walked towards the man with a smile.

"Glad to see you too, Edward." I shook his hand. Show respect but never bow down to anyone in the Hellfire Club. Because the moment you lower your head… someone will chop it off.

"Where's Sebastian and Paris?" I have seen Jacob but didn't see them.

"Ah, they are talking to a VIP guest." He said nonchalantly.

"VIP guest?" There were a lot of influential people here… so who was this VIP?

"Yeah, She is the Queen of Nova Roma." 

My eyes went wide as I didn't even realize when her name left my mouth. "Selene…"

"Yes. You know her?" 

His question brought me back to my senses. 

"Well no. But I have heard 'a lot' about her."

Selene was a very dangerous person. A sorceress on top of being an immortal mutant… Well partially immortal since she has to suck the life force of others to maintain her youth. 

But that doesn't change the fact that she is extremely dangerous. She is the first mutant… over 5 millennia older than En Sabah Nur. And the fact that she survived for all this time and even built a kingdom… even before Caesar's rule said a lot about her.

"Do you happen to know where she is?" I need to meet her. She is an important player.

"They must be-" he looked around. "Ah, there they are." He pointed towards the left. 

Turning around, I saw Sebastian and Paris talking to a certain gorgeous Black-haired woman. Her surreal beauty almost seemed fake. No one should be that beautiful.

*Sigh* Now, I know why she was considered to be one of the most beautiful and seductive females within the Marvel comics. 

"I will go and talk to them." I said to Ned, who nodded.

"Of course and enjoy the party, Marcellus." 

"I will." I said and walked towards the Black Priestess.

I might have expected a little too much from them. The club has power but its maintenance is poor. 

But that makes it easier to control the people within the club.

"Lady Selene, thank you for accepting the invitation." The blonde queen of the club said.

"I was already planning on visiting you for business but the invitation came as a surprise." I noticed that next to her a handsome man with black hair and a perfectly tailored suit was standing with a smile.

"It's an honor to have you here, my Lady." He gave a polite bow which made me curve my lips upwards.

"*Giggle* I should be the one to feel honored, standing in front of such a handsome man." His calm face faltered for a second. 

Ah, men… such simple creatures.

Using my powers to look inside their minds… I was surprised. Paris was a perfectly fine human… but the man wasn't. He was a mutant.

And despite his powers still being dormant… the fact that a mutant was part of the inner circle of the Hellfire Club was fascinating.

This club might not be as boring as I initially thought. 

"So, how long will you be staying in the states?" 

Paris's question made me think about the reason for my visit. 

"Probably a week or two." I cannot waste any more than that. I need to return to Nove Roma soon."

"So where did Edward vanish to?" Edward never leaves his lover Paris alone… even during formal events.

"Ah, he must be with Marcellus. He finally returned from China."

 Marcellus? That name sounds kind of familiar.

"Marcellus? Who is that?" 

"Well, he is-" Paris was about to answer when a certain man gave the answer.

"That would be me, my Lady."
