At that moment, two figures rushed out from the waiting lounge. One was an elderly man wearing a helmet, and the other was a thin man carrying a large black bag that evidently contained a person.

These two were likely Magneto and Toad.

A cold light flashed in Ye Hai's eyes as he focused, unleashing a red laser that struck the ground in front of them, creating a massive crater.

Both Magneto and Toad stood stunned, gazing at Ye Hai hovering in midair, clearly surprised by the power of his laser vision.

"Are you Cyclops's brother?" Magneto asked curiously.

"No, I'm Dr. Science," Ye Hai dropped down in front of them. "Magneto, are you capturing that poor little girl for your junk machine?"

"Junk machine?" Magneto's expression darkened with anger. "It seems you know about my recent research. Where did you hear that?"

"You don't need to know where I got my information," Ye Hai waved his hand. "Let me tell you something: your machine has significant flaws. While it can convert the X gene from recessive to dominant, the method is too crude to maintain genetic stability and will ultimately lead to failure. Have you not conducted human trials?"

"Nonsense! My experiments have been very successful! I've successfully transformed several people into mutants!" Magneto said proudly.

Ye Hai was momentarily stunned; this was not how the story was supposed to go. He couldn't help but ask, "Oh? What are the success and death rates? I can't believe there were no casualties. If you're willing, I could help you improve that machine."

"Oh?" Magneto's dark expression lightened considerably. He smiled, "Dr. Ye, I've heard of you. I know you're far more skilled in genetic science than I. Under normal circumstances, I would be very willing to collaborate with you, but now there's no time. The summit meeting is about to begin, and I can't spare the time to study with you right now."

Ye Hai raised an eyebrow and said, "You want to use that machine at the summit? That's insane! That will provoke war! Such actions will only lead to humanity completely hating mutants."

Magneto chuckled, "Our war with humanity has long since begun; it has never stopped. Humanity and mutants are inherently oppositional; either humanity exterminates mutants, or mutants replace humanity. Dr. Ye, don't emulate Charles's weak character. He chooses to compromise with humanity purely because he is kind-hearted, not because it is the right choice. He is not a qualified leader for mutants."

Ye Hai shrugged indifferently, saying, "I'm not following the old path of the Professor. I also believe that, at the right moment, we mutants need to show our true claws, but Magneto, your plan this time is way too extreme!"

"Then there's nothing to discuss. Let's see what you've got!"

Magneto raised his right hand, and a two-ton bridge truck flew over, crashing down towards Ye Hai. With a casual wave, Ye Hai sent the truck tumbling away.
