Marvel: Scientist Becomes God [R18]

Ye Hai travelled to the Marvel Universe, armed with an extraordinary scientist system and an IQ that surpasses all Marvel superheroes and villains. "Iron Man? Please, his suit is just a knockoff of mine! And I’m serious—he owes me a patent fee!" "That Hulk again? All I did was make his backside turn red. But hey, I’ve already fixed your little rampage problem. A few side effects are normal." "Captain America, quit showing off that shield. I could’ve mass-produced it ages ago!" Ye Hai declares: "I am a great scientist in the world. The only things that I can't do are the things that I haven't imagined yet!!" *** "Oof, I made Gwen a forever virgin by mistake! I have to rectify it or else she will bleed everytime we..." ______________________________________________________________ This is a translated novel.

Marvel, Scientist Becomes God, Ch 13

Ye Hai found a quiet corner in the city and returned to his original form. He took out his phone, turned it on, and saw several missed calls from Gwen. It seemed she was quite worried.

Ye Hai called her back, and the line connected quickly.

"Is this Ye Hai?" Gwen asked urgently.

"Yes, it's me, Gwen," Ye Hai replied with a smile.

"Thank goodness! I thought something had happened to you since you weren't answering my calls." She seemed relieved and then asked, "Ye, what happened? Why didn't you pick up?"

"Well, there was a big lizard causing a ruckus on the Williamsburg Bridge, so I had to deal with it."

"Come on, Ye, I saw the news. Spider-Man and some big guy were the ones fighting the lizard. They didn't look like you at all. I didn't see you in the news anywhere. Were you hiding, scared out of your wits, haha?"

"Okay, that wasn't me, but I certainly wasn't scared! I'm a very brave man," Ye Hai retorted.

"Alright, brave man, you're not going to stand me up today, are you?"

"Of course not!"

…

They chatted a bit longer and arranged a meeting at a café.

Before long, Ye Ha arrived at the café.

The place was bustling with people—men and women, many of whom were clearly couples. They were dressed well, speaking softly, and seemed quite cultured.

The doorman led Ye Hai to a table, and just as he sat down, a beautiful waitress walked over.

She had long, golden hair and a serene smile, exuding a pure aura. Yet her sapphire-like blue eyes bore the weight of many experiences, as if they belonged to someone much older.

How could such eyes belong to a young woman? They seemed more fitting for an elder.

As this thought crossed Ye Hai's mind, he suddenly noticed that the surroundings had gone quiet. Everyone's movements froze like a still photo, and not a sound could be heard, except for the sound of the waitress's high heels clicking on the floor.

"Hello, my brother!" the waitress said politely.

Her voice was sweet and melodious, but the rhythm was slow, making her sound like a puppet being manipulated.

A name flashed across Ye Hai's mind—only one person in this city had the ability to find him so easily and refer to him as "brother."

Ye Hai looked at the waitress and asked, "Are you Professor X?"

The waitress was slightly surprised and replied, "Yes, I am Professor X. It seems you are not completely ignorant about mutants."

"Professor X is quite famous among mutants, of course I've heard of you." Ye Hai assessed the waitress and remarked, "Professor, your mental control ability is truly powerful, able to influence so many people from a distance."

"Everyone has their strengths, Doctor. Your powers are impressive too, and my mental abilities have no effect on you; it seems you possess a talent for the mental arts as well." Professor X looked at Ye Hai with curiosity, as if she had discovered a treasure.

Ye Hai relaxed his shoulders and said, "I have many abilities; this is just a part of what I can do. So, Professor, what can I do for you today? I don't like beating around the bush; please get to the point! I have a date with my girlfriend later, and I don't want her to find out that I'm a mutant."

Professor X smiled gently, "Alright, I discovered a new level four mutant today, and I was so pleased that I thought I'd approach you and invite you to visit my academy."

"Of course! I've been wanting to meet you and other friends for a long time."Ye Hai readily accepted and curiously asked, "Professor, you mentioned I'm a level four mutant. How are mutant levels classified?"

Seeing his agreement, Professor X beamed and explained, "Doctor, you should understand that our mutant abilities come from the X gene and our mental power. The X gene grants super abilities, while mental power fuels those abilities. To put it another way, if we compare mutants to a car, the X gene is like the engine, and mental power is the gasoline. The more gasoline you have up to the engine's limit, the faster the engine can go. That's how cars are classified. Similarly, mutants are ranked based on the amount of mental power they possess."

This matched Ye Hai's previous thoughts. He nodded and glanced out the window, just in time to spot Gwen approaching. "Professor, my girlfriend is here; let's wrap up our conversation."

"Alright." Professor X took out a piece of paper and wrote down the academy's address. "I look forward to our next formal meeting, Doctor!"

In an instant, the mental energy in the space disappeared, and the café came back to life as everyone resumed their previous conversations, completely unaware that they had just been manipulated.

"Sir, what would you like to drink?" the waitress politely asked, her big eyes sparkling.
