Once again he finds himself reborn but this time in the MCU with his favourite hero’s powers. My first original story
May 2008 - As news of Tony Stark's kidnapping in Afghanistan spread across the globe, Julian M. Nightshade stood in The Hive's command center, his heterochromatic eyes fixed on the multiple screens displaying the latest updates.
"V.I.K.I., what's our intel on Stark's current situation?" Julian asked, his voice calm but tinged with concern.
"Limited, sir," V.I.K.I. responded. "The Ten Rings terrorist group has claimed responsibility, but their exact location remains unknown."
Julian nodded, his mind racing with the implications. He knew this event would lead to the birth of Iron Man, a crucial player in the future conflicts Earth would face.
"Sir," V.I.K.I. continued, "there's been increased chatter from S.H.I.E.L.D. regarding the incident. Director Fury seems particularly interested in Stark's fate."
At the mention of Fury's name, Julian's jaw tightened imperceptibly. "Of course he is," he muttered. "Keep monitoring the situation, V.I.K.I. We won't intervene directly, but I want to know everything that's happening."
As Julian turned to leave, Yelena entered the room, her face serious. "Julian, we've picked up some concerning intel from Wakanda."
Julian's eyes narrowed at the mention of the hidden nation. "What kind of intel?"
"It seems they're considering revealing themselves to the world," Yelena reported. "King T'Chaka is pushing for more openness, but there's resistance within the tribal council."
Julian's fists clenched at his sides. "After centuries of hiding, now they decide to come out of the shadows? Keep a close eye on this, Yelena. If Wakanda does reveal itself, we need to be ready to expose their past actions to the world."
Over the next few months, Julian watched as events unfolded. Tony Stark's escape and subsequent announcement of shutting down Stark Industries' weapons manufacturing division sent shockwaves through the business and political world.
In October, as reports of a mysterious armored figure battling terrorists in the Middle East began to surface, Julian called a meeting of the Aegis core team.
"The game is changing," he announced, standing before the assembled heroes. "Tony Stark has become Iron Man, though he hasn't announced it publicly yet. This marks the beginning of a new era, one we've been preparing for."
"What's our move?" Thomas Arashikage asked, his voice steady.
Julian's eyes swept across the room. "For now, we watch and we prepare. Stark's actions will draw attention - both good and bad. We need to be ready to step in when the bigger threats emerge."
As the meeting concluded, Julian felt the familiar weight of the Master Morpher at his belt. He knew that soon, very soon, Aegis would need to step out of the shadows and take a more active role in shaping the world's future.
In the following months, Julian kept a close eye on developments around the globe. The emergence of the Hulk, Stark's public announcement of being Iron Man, and the growing tensions between various world powers all pointed to a rapidly changing landscape.
May 2009 - As news broke of Tony Stark's confrontation with Ivan Vanko at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, Julian stood in his private office in Nightshade Tower, watching the footage with a grim expression.
"It's starting," he murmured to himself. "The dominoes are falling into place."
A chime from his Nightshade Beads interrupted his thoughts. "Sir," V.I.K.I.'s voice came through, "we've detected unusual energy readings from New Mexico. They match the patterns you asked us to monitor for."
Julian's eyes widened slightly. He knew what this meant - Thor's arrival was imminent. "Alert the team," he commanded. "We need to be ready to move at a moment's notice."
As he turned back to the window, looking out over the Los Angeles skyline, Julian couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. The events he had long prepared for were finally beginning to unfold.
The Chitauri invasion was still years away, but the pieces were moving into place. Aegis had remained in the shadows thus far, but Julian knew that soon they would need to step into the light, ready to face whatever threats the universe might throw at Earth.
