And they all hugged it out and forgave each other…..
Yeah, I wish it was that easy.
Thor clenched his fist so tight he began to draw blood, at first I thought he was going to beat the shit out Gaia, or try to.., that would be uncharacteristic for Thor to do, but I wasn't going to judge , if I found out my mother was some kind of deity that just straight up abandoned me…I would punch her in the face too.
Then figure out why she abandoned me before deciding whether or not I forgive her or not.
What happened next was probably the most maturist way I'd ever expect out of Thor.
Thor stared at her for a couple of moments, a couple of long moments.
Each moment was like an eternity, as we all waited with high interest to what Thor would do to her.
Eventually....
Thor broke the silence...
He got up slowly, his eyes never left Gaia's form..
He took a step, fists clenching even tighter
Before...
He closed his eyes.
Took a deep breath, and walked away...
"Did...not see that coming." Tina whispered.
"Yeah, I thought for sure Goldilocks would attack Aunt Gaia." Gine agreed, "I saw blood, on his palms, thats how angry he was."
"His control was surprisingly impressive..." Gohan nodded his head, "Much better than Uncle Loki that's for sure."
"Yeah, but he's a loser."
"Gine!"
"What!? I'm just saying how it is." Gine shrugged, "I mean look at what he tried to do to mom, all because noone was paying attention to him."
"With me, Hela and Gaia.
"I expected him to beat the shit out of you." Hela replied bluntly to Gaia as her shoulders slumped in defeat. "Well I tried..." she muttered depressed, "I don't think anything would change his mind now.."
"I put my hand on Gaia's shoulder again, and squeezed it gently, she didn't bother to look up to me, she just looked to the ground in shame, her eyes watering slightly.
"He's not lost yet." I said softly, "I'm going to go talk to him."
...
I found Thor...siting down,..panting heavilly, his fists bloodied, I assumed he had been punching the ground to a point where it had been bloodied.
Without any second passing by my finger's lit up with a small orange glow before it transferred over to Thor... Thor was too busy in his own thoughts to pay attention to what was happening.
"Thor..."
"Son of Ben.." He spoke, "Your presence is not needed as of now." his voice cracked, and I could tell he was full of emotions."
"I thought you could use the company." I said with a small smile as slowly I sat down next to him, "What ails you God of Thunder?"
"That title means nothing to me, anymore." Thor growls, "Just another one of my Father's lies."
"Lies that he made to cover up his own mistakes?" I asked, Thor closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
"Asgard...Everything that I had ever been taught has been a lie, and now..my own being, how I came to be...I do not even know.. I am lost..Kakarot, I am confused, and most of all, I am wearied." he took a deep breath, "I do not know what to feel anymore."
""I do not know what to tell you Thor..." I said with a sigh, "I can only go off of what my wife has been through, but she had me." I looked up with a faraway look on my face, "Try to move on." I said, "Do what you want with who you are..."
Thor frowned deeper, "I do not understand..."
"No one ever chooses to be what we are, but we make the most of it." I said with a faraway look in my eyes, "I never chose to be this, to be what I am, however, I made the most of it, and look where it got me."
"Did your father ever lie to you like mine did to me?"
"My father is no longer in the realm of the living." I replied with my head bowed in respect as I remembered what happened.
"I see.." Thor bowed his head in respect as well, "I am sorry."
"You didn't know." I replied with a sad smile, "My point that I am trying to make, is that we can't change what made us, the past that happened had already happened."
"The present is now Thor..." I said, "Do you remember what I said before?"
Thor closed his eyes and frowned.
(Flashback)
"I ...am...confused." Thor sighed, "Everything I had ever known had been a lie, and for the first time in my life, I know not of what to do."
"At least you admitted it." I closed my eyes..."That's the first step to finding your place in this universe.."
I opened my eyes, "The rest is up for you to decide, the past doesn't matter, who lied to you doesn't matter, it's how you respond to it that matters, who are you Thor, are you an image of the past? Forged from the flames your father created?"
I stared where Hela was with a smile.
"Take this from me personally, The past doesn't have to be who you are," "Rather, it's who you choose to be now, that defines you."
(Flashback-end)
Thor opens his eyes and a new light appeared in them, "I understand now..." He muttered, he looked directly into my eyes, "Son of Ben....It is not my past that makes me who I am now, but rather, who I choose to be..."
I nodded to him as he said these words, my smile grew larger.
"So..." I said, "Who are...you ?"
Thor closed his eyes, remembering everything he had ever done, and everything he had been through, what he had learned, he accepted all of it. It was also at that moment, Hela felt the hammer vibrate slightly, she didn't pay much attention to it.
Thor opened his eyes, I noticed they weren't lost anymore. Instead they had a look of pure determination on his face, could of sworn I saw lightning in his eyes for a brief moment.
"I, am the God of Thunder, "He spoke Slowly, " I am...Thor!"
