7: Making Moves

Stephan safely got home after a dozen minutes or so.

He held the packaged mask as well as the pack of toilet paper and opened the door.

"you're back," his mother said with a smile as she saw him walk in with the toilet paper.

"Jasmine, take some and put them in all the bathrooms for me," She said as she looked at Jasmine who was on her phone.

The little girl pouted for a second but she still got up and reluctantly took the pack of toilet paper from Stephan's hands before ripping the wrapping apart and then taking some to all the bathrooms

"so did you get what you needed?" his mother asked as she rolled her eyes at Jasmine's usual behavior, she didn't condone it, but this little girl was just hard to deal with.

"Well, they seem to have run out, I'll check again in a few days," Stephan said as he shook his head.

"ah, ok then, if you really can't find it go check other stores," she said before she returned to the drama she was watching on the television.

After a few minutes, Jasmine rushed downstairs and was about to sit down on the couch, but as she saw Stephan giving her a smirk, she couldn't help but stop in her tracks.

"look what I got you, try it on," Stephan said as he pulled out the goofy-looking SpongeBob mask which he had casually bought for a dollar.

he was acting like a true big brother.

"You-" Jasmine gritted her teeth, she was about to ignore him till she saw her mother looking at her.

"try it on Jasmine, your brother paid for it after all" their mother smiled as she held back her laughter.

she was way used to how her two children played around.

"you guys are bullying me" Jasmine pouted, she stomped her feet before snatching the mask out of Stephan's hand and rushing upstairs into her room.

Stephan watched as his mother sneaked him a thumbs-up with a smile.

"That's a good way to get her to her bedroom early," She said with a slight chuckle.

"she might be back" Stephan shrugged and made his way upstairs as well.

He didn't plan to go out just yet, After all, his mother and younger sibling were still awake, he needed to wait while he could.

"Man, if only I had some bewitching abilities right now" Stephan complained, but he could only wait until he ranked up and unlocked some Useful abilities.

Late in the night.

the sound of an owl could be heard throughout the neighborhood as Stephan's family was in deep sleep.

Stephan slowly made his way towards the kitchen, he went to a small container and pulled out a pack of packed garlic, no matter how much he touched them or sniffed them, even eating them didn't seem to affect him at all.

no garlic weakness, Check.

Stephan also wanted to see if he would be affected by any of the other weaknesses of vampires which he had found online, such as silver, a certain type of wood stake to the heart, and holy water.

Silvery didn't affect him, which could also be checked off.

After drinking a lot of water and eating some snacks, Stephan cleaned up the kitchen and stealthily went back to his room to wear an all-black outfit with a hoodie.

Stephan stood in front of his window and released a calm breath, his fingers stretched out towards his face and a silver mask appeared on his face, giving him a mysterious and noble look.

A cold flash of light appeared at the tip of Stephan's fingers as his nails grew longer and he transformed into his vampire form.

Stephan licked his fangs with a strange smile as he stared out of the window, his long black hair which had slowly grown out also blew calmly in the cold wind due to the window which was ajar.

swoosh!!

like a stealthy creature, Stephan shot out of the window with great speed.

As Stephan approached a tree after jumping down from the second floor, he slowly glided down and grabbed onto the wall before shooting off with a powerful push.

The atmosphere of the night seemed to shadow Stephan as he made his way through the neighborhood, his footsteps as light as the fall of feathers yet his speed as fast as a bullet.

Somewhere in a different neighborhood which was a mile or so away from Stephan's home.

A townhouse that was different from the rest around it could be seen in the distance.

the difference was that this townhouse had a few gangsters surrounding it as they all casually played a dice game in front of the building.

it was unknown why they were awake, but from all the commotion and the lights which occasionally flashed from the window, there seemed to be some type of party going on inside.

Stephan came to this part of his area due to many reasons, it was filled with many local gangsters who had all done plenty of terrible acts in their life.

one would ask, why wasn't the police doing anything about this?

maybe they couldn't, maybe they were worried about something else, but all Stephan knew was that no one had been able to put this gang of idiots and drug addicts in their place.

Although Stephan wasn't the type to just go out and plan on saving random people, he would feel a lot better mentally if he devoured the blood of people like this instead.

maybe... just maybe one day he could try an innocent human's blood.

'what am I thinking' Stephan shook his head and calmed his thoughts, he currently stood crouched on the roof of a building as he looked at the Trap House a few meters away.

Due to his outfit along with his black mask and strange noble aura which seemed to help him blend into the night, Stephan was almost like a tree in the darkness of the woods.
