232 Chapter: 232

The planet where Baymax landed was an abandoned planet called Morag, but as a cosmic wanderer who had accidentally ended up there, Baymax certainly didn't know the name of this abandoned planet.

Unless there was still a civilization on Morag, Baymax wouldn't know the name of the planet from them. After all, in the Marvel Universe, all civilizations except for the Dark Elves spoke English.

Come to think of it, no wonder the Dark Elves were attacked by the united forces of the Nine Realms. It was because of the language barrier, preventing them from rallying allies!

"There used to be a prosperous technological civilization here."

Controlling the only relatively intact right thruster on its armor, Baymax descended slowly onto the planet Morag.

As soon as it landed, it was attracted to the architectural relics and remnants of civilization left on the planet.

"The level of civilization that once existed on this planet is at least not lower than the current level on Earth when I left, or even higher!"

Through observation and analysis, Baymax made this inference about the lost civilization.

In fact, the civilization that once existed on Morag was far more advanced than the current civilization on Earth. They not only possessed powerful technological capabilities but also found a way to use one of the Infinity Stones, creating a superweapon capable of destroying a planet with a single blow—the Orb.

Furthermore, upon careful observation, one would notice that the buildings and their locations did not experience high-temperature eruptions like other parts of Morag due to the excessively high core temperature of the planet.

The reason for this phenomenon was not mere luck or favorable positioning. It was because the lost civilization utilized their advanced technological means to modify the surface structure, completely taming the dreadful natural disasters. This effect continued even after their civilization's demise and has been maintained until today.

The main reason Baymax made the judgment that the civilization on Morag was similar to Earth was primarily because it had always followed Mark and Tony, a pair of father and son with exceptional intelligence. Thus, its knowledge and perception of Earth's technology were actually derived from the cutting-edge technology developed by these two individuals, which couldn't represent the overall level of Earth.

Moreover, Baymax didn't have a quantum computing module capable of in-depth analysis and reconstruction. It could only rely on the limited data in its database for comparison, leading to an incorrect judgment.

However, Baymax didn't waste much time there. Although the remnants of a lost civilization surely contained a lot of valuable data and information worth collecting, its remaining energy was running low. It needed to quickly replenish it; otherwise, it would shut down completely, losing its ability to move.

As for the data collection work, it can be done when it has abundant energy. After all, these relics won't go anywhere.

Guided by the energy fluctuations radiated by the powerful energy source on Morag, Baymax quickly arrived in front of a dilapidated and massive temple.

This alien temple was quite similar to the Parthenon Temple on Earth. They both relied on several large stone pillars to support the overall structure. However, perhaps due to the passage of time, the architectural structure of the temple was covered with withered branches of parasitic plants. The damage to the building structure was severe, and there were no exquisite carvings or craftsmanship left behind.

Continuing to walk towards the interior of the temple, according to the energy fluctuations received by Baymax, the location of the energy source was in the center of the temple. However, because the temple covered a vast area, it still needed to travel a distance to reach its destination.

Inside the temple, there were many places with accumulated water on the ground. This was due to the disruption and cracking of the building structure caused by the root systems of plants, which resulted in a less secure sealing of the underground hot springs, allowing water to slowly seep onto the ground.

However, this environment created a unique ecological environment within the temple. Many peculiar plants and strange animals found their habitat there, forming a small ecosystem that maintained a fragile ecological balance.

Finally, after going deeper, Baymax saw a structurally intact cubic building at the center of the temple, with a closed door in front of it.

Unlike all the other buildings seen before, which were either in ruins or in a dilapidated state, this cubic structure, although very old in appearance, had walls that were structurally sound, and its overall strength had not deteriorated significantly.

The door looked even sturdier, and the faint metallic luster that could be seen indicated that time and the environment had failed to corrode it. It was evident that an extraordinary manufacturing process was used.

"The energy source I'm looking for must be inside. That's why this civilization went to such lengths to construct this protection measure capable of withstanding the test of time."

Approaching closer, Baymax began to carefully observe the locking mechanism on the door. The device was intricately designed, but due to its age and the fact that Baymax was equipped with a lot of cutting-edge technology by Mark, the lock was quickly deciphered, and the door opened.

At this moment, as Baymax entered the interior of this cubic building, it finally saw the true face of the mysterious energy source—a metallic sphere engraved with strange patterns, carefully preserved within an energy field.

This energy field could maintain operation even after the demise of Morag's civilization and the passage of time, not through the use of any super powerful energy-based technology, but by continuously extracting energy from the metal sphere to replenish itself.

"The Orb?"

Looking at the metal sphere suspended within the energy field, Baymax uttered its name. However, this was not because Baymax was familiar with this precious artifact, but because the patterns engraved on the surface of the Orb corresponded to the runic characters in its database, allowing Baymax to pronounce its name.

Extending its hand, Baymax disregarded the external energy field that served as protection and directly grabbed the Orb and took it out.

Over time, although the energy field managed to barely sustain itself through the energy provided by the Orb, its energy circuits and control core were unable to escape the erosion of time. Eventually, it became so fragile that it could no longer fulfill its role of protecting the Orb.

After carefully analyzing the Orb once it was in its possession, Baymax became even more certain of its previous judgment: "The energy fluctuations within this thing are indeed similar to the Tesseract and Loki's scepter that master had studied. What kind of connection exists among them?"
