Chapter 201 Got beaten [Edited]

In Vale, Roman Touchwick's hideout

Roman and Neo were counting the money that they got from their employee this time. Roman was happy to see that they had earned a good amount of money, but Neo seemed disappointed.

"What's wrong?" Roman asked.

"I was hoping we would earn more," Neo replied, using her scroll.

Roman shook his head.

"We'll just have to find more challenging work next time,"

He said it with a defined tone. Neo nodded in agreement, and they both got back to counting the money. while they were counting money.

Neo suddenly stood up and grabbed her umbrella. She felt something with her sensitive sense—a strong and ominous presence. She knew they had to leave immediately before something bad happened.

"Roman, we need to go now," she texted urgently.

Roman looked at her quizzically but saw the fear in her eyes and quickly followed her out of the building.

Roman looked at her, confused.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

Neo didn't answer, but instead walked towards the open area with a keen look on her face. As she stepped outside, she felt a strange sensation in the air—something was off.

She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but her instincts were telling her that they needed to go, and fast. Roman followed her , sensing that something was amiss as well. Together, they scanned their surroundings, trying to figure out what had triggered Neo's sudden reaction.

And that's when a blonde-haired woman appeared, walking towards them with a passive look in her eyes. Neo instinctively tensed up, sensing danger. Roman glanced at her and then turned his attention to the woman, curious about who she was.

"Who are you?"

Roman asked the woman with a firm tone. Neo remained silent, still on edge and ready for action. The woman simply smiled and replied,

"That's not important right now. What is important is that you come with me."

Roman narrowed his eyes, suspicious of her intentions.

"Why should we go with you?" he asked.

She didn't answer. Instead, she suddenly lunged forward and attacked them with surprising speed and strength.

Neo immediately sprang into action, dodging her blows and trying to subdue her while Roman backed away, readying his own defenses.

Despite their efforts, however, the woman fought highly skillfully and without mercy, determined to get what she wanted at any cost.

Neo attacked the woman, but her efforts were useless. She effortlessly avoided her blows. Her movements were quick and precise. It was as if she had anticipated her every move.

Frustrated, Neo tried to change tactics, but nothing seemed to work against her formidable skills. It was a futile battle, and they knew it. They needed a new plan if they were going to get out of this alive.

"It's useless. Do not waste my time any further."

Neo closed her eyes and focused on her semblance, hoping that it would give her an edge. However, even with her ability to reflect and manipulate light, she couldn't seem to land a hit on the woman. The fight continued, but Neo's semblance proved ineffective. She felt defeated and hopeless as the woman effortlessly dodged every attack. It seemed like there was no winning against this opponent.

She did something and spoke softly, Genjutsu Kai, causing Neo to momentarily lose her focus and be forced out of her illusion.

The woman took advantage of this opportunity and landed a powerful blow, sending Neo crashing to the ground.

As she struggled to get back up, Neo realized that the woman was using some kind of powerful semblance against her illusion.

"Don't stand up, just lay down there, kid."

The blonde-haired woman approached Neo as she tried to stand up. With a smirk on her face, she delivered a swift kick to Neo's side, knocking the wind out of her. Neo tried to fight back, but the woman was too quick and too strong.

In a final act of desperation, Neo summoned all her strength and launched herself at the woman. But it was no use; with one effortless move, the woman knocked Neo out cold. As Neo lay there unconscious, the woman stood over her triumphantly, ready for her next opponent.

"Stop, Stop! I understand now that I will go with you. Please leave her alone!"

Roman pleaded, fear evident in his voice. He knew that the woman was capable of killing Neo if provoked further.

The woman looked down at Neo's unconscious form before turning her attention to Roman.

"I didn't come here to harm you," she said calmly.

"I came here to speak."

The words caught Roman off guard, and he looked up at her in confusion.

"Speak about what?" he asked cautiously.

The woman took a step forward and began to explain her intentions.

"Your employee will contact you and want information about a young man; you need to give her the only information I gave you, that's all."

Roman listened intently, knowing that he had no choice but to agree.

He nodded his head and replied.

"I understand. I will do as you ask."

The woman gave a small smile of satisfaction. She then told him what to do before turning on her heel and walking away, leaving Roman alone with his thoughts and the unconscious Neo at his feet.

He knew that he had just been caught up in something much bigger than he could have ever imagined, but for now, all he could do was wait for the call from his employee and pray that he was choosing the right choice.
