Chapter 200 Out of the frying pan into the fire [Edited]

Cinder was now worried. Her queen told her that she had a strong feeling that something very dangerous to her existence was in Vale. Cinder couldn't ignore her queen's intuition, especially since she had never been wrong before. She knew she had to act fast and gather more information.

"I'm sure it was that young man... Who exactly is he?"

Cinder was intrigued, but she was also nervous. She had the impression that this man was not to be taken lightly and could pose a serious threat. She needed to figure out who he was and what he was up to.

Cinder remembered the young man's display of magic and wondered how he was able to do it. She wanted to know why he had such power and if it was connected to the danger her queen sensed in Vale. She resolved to investigate further and find out more about this mysterious man.

"I hope he isn't Ozpin's dog."

With a plan forming in her mind, Cinder decided to call Roman and his little assistance. She needed their help in gathering information and possibly dealing with this young man if necessary.

She knew Roman had connections and resources that could aid her in her investigation. With a sense of purpose, Cinder dialed Roman's number and waited for him to answer.

"Well, well, well. What do you want from me this time, my dear lady?"

asked Roman in his usual annoying voice.

Cinder gritted her teeth, trying to hide her irritation. She knew she needed Roman's help, but that didn't make his voice any less grating.

"I need information,"

she said, trying to keep her tone calm and professional.

"There's someone I'm interested in learning more about, and I think you might be able to help me."

"Oh?" said Roman, sounding intrigued.

"Who's the lucky guy?"

Cinder hesitated for a moment before answering. She didn't want to give too much away, even to Roman.

"Let's just say he's someone who could be a threat to our plans," she said finally.

"Ah, I see," said Roman.

"Do you remember the young man from last time? I want you to investigate him. and give me the information as soon as possible."

Roman let out a laugh on the other end of the line and told her that he had already done it.

"I knew you'd come to me eventually," he said smugly.

"But don't worry, I have all the information you need. Come meet me at the usual place, and we can discuss it further."

Cinder breathed a sigh of relief, pleased with Roman's efficiency. She quickly agreed and hung up the phone, feeling one step closer to solving this mystery.

"Emerald, Mercury, Come with me, we need to go somewhere."

Cinder called out to her two associates as she grabbed her coat and headed out the door. She knew that time was of the essence and they needed to act fast.

...

Roman sighed after finishing the call. He then looked at someone who was watching him like a grim reaper. His assistance Neo was now unconscious at her feet.

"I did what you told me too. Can you let go of her now?"

The one who beat Neo to a pulp was a blonde woman. Neo didn't stand a chance against her a little bit. Even with her semblance, she couldn't do anything to the woman. The woman would just do something with her hand, and Neo would be forced out of her illusion.

Neo tried to fight back, but the woman's movements were too quick and precise. It was as if she knew every move Neo was going to make before she even made it.

"I will. But remember, if you told her more than she should know, I will return."

Then she disappeared, leaving only leaves behind. She must be the real grim reaper.

"What did I get myself into this time?"

Roman sighed as he looked at the unconscious Neo lying on the ground. He had a feeling that this was just the beginning of a long and dangerous journey, but he was determined to protect Neo and stay as far away from the trouble as they could.

With a deep breath, Roman lifted Neo's body and started walking towards their hideout. He was sure that the woman knew about their hideout too.
