Infinity War Saga VII: Reality

"Ah the new avatar of the speedforce. The previous one and I had a disagreement that last time, and it resulted in his permanent...demise..."

Thanos spoke, letting out a vicious smirk, while glaring at Duke, seemingly sizing up the enemy.

"History won't repeat itself.." Being the first time Duke managed to respond to a villainous monologue, he tapped his nanocore and was instantly covered by his suit, as lightning erupted from his body haphazardly.

"You're even bigger than I thought you would be...didn't know aliens had juice as well.."

Walking out of the shadows, Stark stood beside Duke, fully geared and ready for battle, as Dr. Strange stood where he currently was, and summoned two magic circles under his fists.

"An alliance, not that it would do you any goo-..."

*BOOM!*

Before Thanos could even finish his statement, Duke appeared before him in a split second, grabbed him by the neck, despite how massive he was and blasted off into the distance at supersonic speed.

Unable to react at all, Thanos could only painfully endure getting his face dragged across the rocky terrain at super speed, which left his originally perfect face, half ruined. After using his signature move, Duke then flung his away like a sac of potatoes, as he crashed into a large rock.

However, was he willing to end it there? Simple answer, No. He arrived before Thanos's figure bathed in lightning and began unleashing blow after blow after blow onto the body of mad Titan at supersonic speed without holding back.

Arriving at the scene, Dr. Strange conjured multiple ropes from eldritch magic and tied the hands of the mad Titan while Spider-Man appeared from a portal, moved along with Tony Stark and Quill who worked in tandem, unleashed their respective attacks onto the body of the mad Titan.

Roaring out in anger, Thanos, propped himself up, shattered the bonds on his arms and unleashed a massive wave of energy from the power stone which hurled everyone flying into the distance.

Stretching out his fist, he angrily rushed towards Dr. Strange and began as the two engaged in combat unleashing move after move that damaged the entire vicinity.

However Duke was not done, blasting towards Thanos at supersonic speed, he unleashed a massive bolt of lightning which tore through the skies and smashed into his body, hurling him away like a cannon ball.

Recovering almost instantly and ignoring the pain from his wounds, Thanos stretched forth his hand, about to unleash another attack from the powerstone when Duke blasted toward him, conjured a blade from the nano suit and immediately cleaved his hand off from the wrist.

"Arrghhh!!" Screaming out in immense pain, Duke appeared before him like a streak of lightning and unleashed multiple blows backed by immense momentum into the body of the mad Titan, shattering many bones in his body, before he hurled him flying with a kick.

Appearing beside him from a portal, Dr. Strange and Stark nodded to him, before the three of them instantly unleashed blasts of energy towards Thanos who tried crawling to his feet. Taking the lead, Strange unleashed a blast of eldritch magic, while Stark siphoned energy from the space stone and unleashed a blast as well.

Duke smiled and placed his palms together and similarly blasted out a massive bolt of lightning right into Thanos' body which nearly killed him and left him with fatal injuries.

"You've lost..."

Arriving before his fallen figure, everyone regrouped and glared at him murderously, as Duke spoke.

"Any last words?" Stark siphoned energy from the space stone and charged up his repulsors, ready to fire another attack.

"Ah...Stark..." Thanos raised a head to look at Stark, and the infinity stone on his chest.

"You know me?" Stark raised a brow. "Of course....you're not...the only one cursed....with knowledge..."

Thanos replied.

"I guess that makes two of us..." Stark shrugged and the next moment, Duke moved in a split second and thrust a vibrating arm right into the heart of the mad Titan, killing him instantly and ending the battle.

"Sigh. We did it, didn't we..." Peter asked and looked at the others who immediately calmed down and relaxed.

"This fight was easier than we thought it would b-!"

Stark retracted his cowl and stood with a victorious smirk, however in the next moment, a large blade ripped through his abdomen, before a large arm wrapped around his body from out of nowhere.

"What the!!!"

Duke was the first to react and upon turning around, he saw Thanos, whom he had just killed, or rather a different Thanos standing behind Stark, holding the blade that ripped through his body with a vicious smirk.

"Reality...."

Dr. Strange turned around with a sigh, seeing reality shift itself, like under someone's influence.

Forcefully ripping off the space stone off Tony's chest, Thanos placed it onto the gauntlet and let out a satisfied groan.

"Hand over the time stone, or your friend dies...and oh, don't even bother trying to attack, if you want your friend to live to see another day..."

Thanos spoke and glared at Duke with a wicked smile. Reality manipulation, an ability of the reality Stone. Who could blame him for using such an underhanded tactic?

"There is no honor in a cheated victory.." Strange spoke and slowly formed a hand seal with a sigh, taking out the time stone from its storage and handing it over telekinetically.

"Honor? You're even more foolish than I thought at first. Of course, you didn't expect me to show up and fight a fair battle with him, when his existence alone is the biggest cheat in the universe.."

Pointing towards Duke, Thanos spoke with a sneer and grabbed onto the time stone and similarly placed it into his gauntlet.

"You've got what you wanted, now let him go!"

Peter spoke with a murderous tone, as Thanos merely spared him a glance. The next moment, rather than letting Stark off, he utilized the time stone and immediately slowed down time around him, before proceeding to stab Tony Stark multiple times in the abdomen.

"No!!!"

Duke erupted with full speed, however, upon getting closer to Thanos, he slowed down exponentially to his surprise.

"I came here with two purposes in mind. The first was to retrieve the stones, the second...."

Thanos let out a small evil laugh, before he clenched his fist in the gauntlet and punched out, summoning the might of five infinity stones at once.

He immediately unleashed a massive blast of multicolored light which smashed right into Duke's chest and hurled him into the distance like a meteor.

"No!!"

Strange acted quickly, trying to unleash an attack, however Thanos summoned a portal with the space stone and disappeared, as the sorcerer rushed towards Stark and began healing him using magic, while the others rushed to check up on Duke.
