Danger approaching

At the shores of the beautiful ocean in Hawaii, two figures could be seen running to and fro; a catch me if you can game. Their faces were plastered with smiles, and the only thing on their minds at that moment was each other.

"I told you not to use your speed. You cheated." The first figure, a red haired beautiful woman smiled and playfully hit the chest of the second figure who was a handsome young man.

"I did not cheat..." The man smirked and pulled her closer to him, and kissed her passionately. Their intertwined bodies under the beautiful sunset and the ocean painted a very romantic and picturesque scene...

A few minutes later, after the sun had set completely, the two figures sat on beautiful blankets with candles and neatly arranged and well served food, along with some drinks on the beach.

Under the glow of the beautiful moon, they ate, drank and enjoyed themselves to the fullest.

"Hey, What are you thinking about?" After a few minutes of feasting, they lied down together and star gazed. The red haired woman lied on the young man's chest and asked after a few minutes of silence from him.

"Nothing..." The young man, Duke replied as he caressed her hair gently. "You know you can tell me anything right?" She replied, and began tracing her fingers on his chest.

"I know." He kissed her forehead and replied.

He couldnt help but contemplate on a few words Stark had said before he left.

"I'm scared." After a few seconds of silence, Duke said while heaving a huge sigh. "Is it about what Tony said?" She raised her head and asked. "Maybe it's just his paranoia, you know Stark." She replied as he shook his head.

"Maybe you're right.." He smiled and kissed her on the forehead, however his eyes betrayed the worry and concern he felt. Although he didn't really know Stark like she did, from the little he knew, someone like him wouldn't utter something like.."The earth is in danger..." just to make a joke.

He didn't believe in coincidences nor luck. Too much evidence was available for him not to take what Tony had said seriously. On earth 616, the Tony Stark in that world had made mention of Thanos, and from the way he spoke, Duke could guess that, that name was akin to a world ending catastrophe.

And then there was Savitar. He remembered the fearful expression on his face before he died and his last words. "...the mad...titan...he's coming....for ...your world!" Duke wondered what could scare someone of his caliber and power coupled with an infinity stone so much. And from what he heard, Savitar wasn't just here to kill him, he was here to take the space in order to escape to another universe.

He wasn't scared of a battle, nor death. What he was truly scared of was losing her. She was all he had now, and if it really came down to saving the world and her life, then the world could go to hell for all he cared.

Raising his head slightly, he saw Nat who was fast asleep on his chest.

The sight of her beautiful face was like the sunshine he needed every morning. Carefully placing her down, he stood up stretched himself, before gently picking her up bridal style.

"Boom!" His body turned into a streak of lightning, which zoomed away in a split second.

Deep within the expanse of space, a massive spaceship stood in the void with several smaller ships continually leaving and entering it.

In the main hall of the large spacecraft, a tall and muscular purple skinned figure sat on a throne with his chin resting on his fingers, as if in deep thought.

The figure was dressed in classic warlord type armor with a golden helmet. On his left hand was a golden gauntlet, and on it were five round empty holes with the first hole filled with a purple shining gem.

"Sire, The Allfather has passed. The sorcerer supreme has been pronounced dead!" Soon a humanoid alien in black robes walked to him and bowed slightly before saying.

"Three infinity stones on a single measly planet. It is time." The purple skinned alien in the throne uttered with a small grin.

"That planet is guarded by an Odinson and a group of mortals. They seem to have defeated Loki and seized the infinity gems." The alien said. "No one is standing in my way this time Maw, no one!" The purple skinned figure said.

"Call the members of the Black order. And assemble all the armies. It's time to go to Earth!" He said, as he stood up, grabbed a long blade and placed a helmet on his head.
