Awakening
Now in her home, pepper took a quick shower.
The sound of water flowing around her was a calming presence, allowing her to let her mind wander and dream about what lay ahead.
She wore a smile on her face as she finished and then walked towards her bedroom naked and with water still dripping on her tender skin even after drying herself.
She loves to sleep naked.
It makes her feel free and is more exciting.
It's a bit like doing something dangerous...
Of course, she is alone there, even Jarvis is not present in her Villa.
She made sure of it.
She's not interested in nudism in front of a Artificial Intelligence that would then deliver it to a playboy, especially since going on her own path and not feeling anything for the other gender anymore, that made her not interested in Tony either.
The moment she jumped into bed, she felt the warmth of the blankets and the comfort of her pillow, lulling her into a peaceful sleep.
But what she didn't expect was that after falling asleep, she didn't join the dreamland, but found herself in a strange space, seemingly awake.
As she looked around, her jaw dropped in disbelief. She never experienced something so strange.
After some time to process things, she recovered her bearing.
Her initial thought was that it was a lucid dream, but her surroundings suggested otherwise..
Someone should dream of something even in lucid dreams, right??
Right...?
And it was far too clear, just like when she was awake.
But now, The only thing present here is a dark space around her, with various lights of different colors, moving around like some kind of little elves, it's quite dreamy & beautiful, to be honest, but nothing much happened other than that here that would make her think it's a dream. But also didn't seem "awake" either, so what was happening here?
Sitting cross-legged in « space » and closing her eyes, she tried to feel something, in the past, she would meditate like that to calm herself, it helps as she reduce her other senses by using earplugs too, now that she heard nothing, she didn't need it.
…
She indeed found something after some effort..
Even if it was not a dream, Pepper can feel it was still inside herself, not her physical body, but maybe her mind or soul.
She didn't know.
Pepper let out a sigh of relief at this. At least, some strange being did not kidnap her and put her in this space for some unknown reason.
As for someone making her like that and manipulating her senses to let her feel this way? Well, if that's the case, she didn't seem to do much, so let's be positive.
*"I'm not the type to be negative anyway, even more now that a new life is opening to me,"
Continuing on this path, after some time, pepper found that she was in fact inside her mental space, and it was indeed the place where she would dream, but today was not like the previous times, it wasn't like a lucid dream either, where she could control her body or thoughts in the dream, she was now immersed into something else.
As for how did she know it?
Well, she didn't know herself.
Hehe...
It was more like something instinctive.
It was inside her mind and she didn't know enough to explain why it was like that or how it worked, anyway.
After some time of meditating, she felt something else inside of this space, like a presence other than herself.
It felt like something that was always there, she was unaware when it started or how it came into being, Pepper didn't see it before either, only after knowing her situation was she able to feel it, it was strange as it made her feel familiar and safe.
After some thought, she decided to approach the place where she felt the presence, even though it was her mind. If something was dangerous, she would be in trouble... but anyway, she still tried.
If, even in her mind, it was unsafe, it didn't matter at that point. After some time approaching the place, she saw the multi-colored ball of lights shining and flickering in the distance.
Pepper felt a strong emotional connection to the light as she approached, and she allowed herself to be drawn in by its gentle pull.
It bypassed her spiritual body, entering it & merging with it, becoming part of her, with her mind and soul, it was an exhilarating feeling, almost like coming home, a part of her life that always was there, but she wouldn't notice, in a past that was forgotten.
As for now, her mind was becoming more lucid, her senses more present, she felt like her mind was opening up more, allowing more room for all the surrounding things, like the darkness, and the colors of lights that would appear in the darkness and move around, it was fascinating to look at.
As the power was awakened inside of her, she felt it becoming more active and more aware, as she connected more with the surrounding space, she could see it becoming more colorful, almost as if it was becoming alive, she felt an instinctive joy from it, the joy of becoming one again.
She was feeling something like herself merging with her surroundings, almost like a fusion.
Her spiritual body was becoming more present in the surrounding space as if it was being merged with the space.
She didn't know what was happening.
She just felt herself being part of the surrounding space.
It's like, before, she was present inside the space, but now, she is the space itself and can feel every corner.
"At least, it didn't seem like a bad thing. More likely, it's a good thing for me, as I can feel that my mind becomes clearer, I think faster, and seems more 'free'"
When the process finished, Pepper heard a loud sound and immediately blacked out, becoming unconscious before she could react..
What she didn't know, yet, was that during this time, as she fused her consciousness with her mental space, outside, her body seemed to glow in all kinds of colors, as an energy was reshaping it.
It was the same energy from the light she saw just before.
It seemed to make her body more in line with this power.
Her body even became transparent at one point, like she wasn't here anymore.
Minutes later, when she became unconscious, this process stopped.
What was surprising was that her look completely changed.
Now, people who don't know her well will not recognize her at all, she become far younger, and more perfect in every sense.
Also, more ethereal, you will find in life that people have a certain aura.
Some, you just look at them and feel that they are intellectual.
Some others are dangerous, some seem at a higher position, managing tons of people, and their experiences forge a kind of aura around them.
It's not something supernatural or whatnot, at least most times, but for Pepper, it indeed was.
If before, she had the aura of a serious/intellectual person, now, it had changed and become a unique type of aura.
It feels "higher", not so mortal anymore, different, and captivating at the same time.
But for her, all of that didn't matter, as it was only the starting point of her long journey. One day, many names will identify her through the omniverse, but the main one will be the goddess of emotions. This name may sound delicate, but it will make some shudder..
Because her position would be far more significant than one could expect from a goddess related to something as "simple" as emotions.
She will encounter more tribulations than ever before, in an omniverse filled with threats.
A world filled with possibilities.
A previously unknown and unexpected presence materialized in a specific part of the world at that moment, as if in response to her awakening, even though nothing could be heard or seen. This presence was unknown and unexpected in the whole omniverse..
Something that shouldn't be here at all, an irregularity.
But that is something for the future.
Now it was time for Pepper's story to begin.
Her journey to becoming the goddess of emotions will change the omniverse.
