The Supreme Sorcerer, Ancient One, had spent some time in a dimensional space outside Earth. Upon her return, she discovered that the reality of the world had been dramatically altered by a force, almost as if Earth's timeline had been entirely overwritten by another parallel universe's timeline, leading to numerous discrepancies. Traces of many people were erased, including impressions, memories, and related texts, all without exception.
It was as if a rebellious boy had torn out many pages from the world's book, causing chaos in reality. According to the principles of Kamar-Taj, to go with the flow of nature, Ancient One naturally wouldn't interfere with the wars of the human world. Those were caused by human malevolence, and even if she could prevent wars from breaking out, she couldn't erase the malice in human hearts; wars would eventually erupt again. All these were choices made by humans, and they deserved the consequences.
As the guardian of Earth, Ancient One would not intervene. However, the boy who wantonly altered reality, causing chaos in the timeline and turning the world into a mess, had to be dealt with.
"I must correct this broken world, reset the timeline, and restore order," said the Ancient One, wearing her white robe, with a gentle and elegant demeanor. She had an aura that made people feel peaceful, and her words felt like a spring breeze.
Baron Mordo, standing nearby, was all smiles, his eyes fixed on Su Chen with a look of excitement. Su Chen didn't care about this clown; he simply looked at the Ancient One coldly and said, "So you want to bring back all my enemies that I have erased?"
Among those annihilated in the catastrophe were many of his enemies—Wolverine, Kitty Pryde, General Stryker, and all those deemed enemies in his subconscious. Not to mention the superheroes he personally killed. If they were all restored, all his previous efforts for revenge would be in vain.
"Yes," replied the Ancient One firmly. She looked at Su Chen and sighed heavily, "Let go of your hatred for now. The damage you've caused to reality is too great. The disrupted timeline must be repaired. Once reality is restored, you cannot use that power again; it causes too many problems. As for your enemies, you can deal with them as you wish later, and I won't interfere."
Su Chen laughed coldly. Again, such high-sounding words. Again, moral condemnation. And now, they wanted all his efforts to be in vain. Dream on.
"I refuse your conditions. It seems the outcome is either you die or I die," Su Chen declared, not hiding his fighting spirit. Energy waves radiated from his body, raising his momentum a few notches.
The surrounding killing intent began to spread, making it feel like being in an underground ice cellar. "Excellent, he's still resisting. The last incident with the Evil God host was unclear, and now he's still obstinate. Boy, it seems you're determined to walk this dark path," Baron Mordo righteously rebuked, but inwardly, he was delighted, imagining the scene of the Ancient One defeating Su Chen.
Mentioning the previous Evil God incident reminded Su Chen of how they attacked him without distinguishing right from wrong. Old and new grudges alike. Fine, let's settle all accounts today.
"Then you can all return to hell together," Su Chen's energy waves grew more intense. The Ancient One, sensing the killing intent, remained calm and performed the mirror dimension activation ritual. Reality around them instantly transformed. Although the environment still looked like a city ruin, it was essentially a space realm constructed within the real world.
All the fighting here wouldn't affect reality. Unless the spell caster was defeated, one couldn't escape this world-prison. Kamar-Taj's sorcerers used this magnificent technique to remain unknown to the outside world.
The surrounding buildings emitted gear-turning sounds. Soon, the city area at the horizon slowly lifted like a sheet of paper and tilted upward within seconds.
The sanctum sorcerers, having just quelled crises at other sanctums, hadn't dissipated their killing intent and continued to attack imposingly. The ground beneath Su Chen's feet popped out like a block.
"Hmph!" Anticipating this, Su Chen leaped into the air, using psychokinesis to soar above. The ninety-degree tilted city area slowly closed in like a book.
"We've locked the airspace," shouted multiple crimson-robed sorcerers. With the city folded, the airspace narrowed. If one crossed the middle dividing line, gravity would suddenly reverse. Su Chen, sensing the shift, easily adapted and flew freely, navigating the chaotic airspace with psychokinesis.
This mirror dimension wasn't a disadvantage for him. The unstable space structure significantly enhanced his space-manipulation abilities. For instance, with a thought, several crimson-robed sorcerers found themselves inexplicably teleported near him.
"Good," he thought, "this is too easy."
