"Okay to satisfy everyone, you watch him for a week after all that is how long it takes to prep the procedure" James said to compromise after all he understood the man's worry
"If you say so"
"Anyway then Mr Barnes, make sure you prepare your mind, I'll see you in a week. I have a class teach in about an hour"
"Mmm" Bucky groaned in reply
"Okay General, I let's move on to the new guns" James said as he smiled, this was the main reason for his excitment.
"Okay then"
"Hurry, before Gali comes" James said as he hurried up the man
Behind them, Bucky who saw James's excitement couldnt help but question exactly how a man like him became the leader of such a powerful nation. The man he just saw looked capable at first then suddenly turned into a child the second he talked about weapons.
Choosing to ignore the weird behaviour of the man he would soon be working for, he turned his attention to what procedure James was talking about was. He didnt know what it was but he didn't feel happy about it, the last "procedure" he went through made a generational killer and he had no plan of going through anything of that type anymore.
Meanwhile, James and the General could be seen walking through another hallway as they headed towards the weapons research facility. This facility was born simply because not all scientists on Science Island were suited for domestic inventions.
With a crazy amount of resources and freedom to experiment as you wish, came weapons of all kinds. They were mad scientists after all and the most thing that they create is usually weapons but the people in this new research institute were all those that Paris deemed the best amongst the crazy scientists.
Naturally, James knew nothing about the criteria Paris used in judging them but he trusted her and they have shown amazing results. They were the ones who were in charge of designing weapons that would suit the Spartans and the other armed forces in Elysium.
They brought forth the DNA coded guns used through Elysium, the Paralysers used by Elysium police and the absolute units that were given to the Spartans. The paralysers here, despite the name does not actually paralyse its victims, it called that simply because the gun was designed to quite literally make the person stop in their tracks by injecting a small dose of electricity into their system. Basically a fancy taser that you can shoot but without the wires and shit.
"Due to your strict instructions, the research on all radiation producing weapons have been stopped but I don't know if that is such a good thing" the general suddenly said in a weird tone
"I don't understand what do you mean" James asked now slightly worried as to why the general said that and how he had said it
If not for the way the man had said it, James would have simply thought that he didn't approve of his decision of creating Nuclear weapons and the likes but the way he said it made it seem as though he preferred nuclear weapons compared to whatever was created now.
The decision not to continue research more on Nuclear weapons was made simply because James felt it was a waste of his infinite resources. If he let these mad scientists create a nuclear weapon then for sure, they would surely create doomsday units that would render his plans useless.
The current existing nuclear weapons render large areas of land useless after being used which already didn't sit well with him after all that was useful land gone to waste then he imagined letting them create one and how much space the bomb would render useless. Besides he had technology beyond what the world could offer so nuclear weapons were definitely not the best they could create.
"Oh… you'll see" the man said with a smile that one would expect from a baby who just found a new toy
"If you say so" James said as they walked into the main facility.
