Chapter Twenty-three(23)

James didn't exactly know what to think as he read through the file on Matthew's DNA. He always knew that Matthew had the highest chance of being the one he was searching for after all there were few Matthew Malloys in New York as a whole and some of them were way above the puberty stage after all we know that Matthew was about 20 or 21 years old when he reawakened his powers but finding out that his best friend was the Matthew he was looking for, hit him different.

It was both awesome and terrifying at the same time, his friend was the greatest mutant power picked up by Cerebro ever since its creation. Cerebro picked up the birth of Mad James Jaspers, it has seen the birth of Franklin Richards, legion, Jean grey both when fully powered by the phoenix and not and possibly the Marquis of Death too. Matthew was made to be known as the most powerful reality warper in Marvel history but marvel killed him off easily maybe because they didn't know how to give him feats greater than the Marquis of Death but one thing was for sure, Beast, Charles and basically every fan confirms that he is at least on par with or above Franklin Richards.

As an adult, Franklin could only be killed when three Celestials were working together and when he got much older. He was creating multiverse and several Multiversal entities after all no marvel multiverse or universe can exist without it's Multiversal Entities. Another huge aspect of Matthew is the fact that death doesn't hold him back even when he lacked control he could bring himself and several others to life with just a thought and now James just found that his friend was that character.

"Oh god, he will kill all close relatives and friends" James shouted remembering Charles's story. When Charles and Matthew first met, he had just killed his entire family by mistake since he didn't know what he could do and Charles helped the young boy by wiping his Memories of any such event.

In that story, Matthew looked to be around the ages 15 to 16 since Charles had to use a body of similar age to place his seals meaning that James had about a year or even less to take away Matthew's powers.

"Damn, Matthew suffered" James thought as he went through all the information he had on Matthew. Not much was known about him since Marvel killed him off before he could even really spread his wings.

"Paris, send a drone to Matthew's house and watch him, inform me if he showcases any form of ability" James said. He may have befriended Matthew because he thought Matthew was THE Matthew Mallory and he turned out to be correct but he didn't want his friend to lose his family and suffer throughout his life living in an orphanage when he can live his life fully as a normal kid.

[Affirmative] Paris replied

"Okay… okay now back to the real task, I believe that you are done programming the Dreamstone right"

[Yeah, I'm done and administration would be done as you said]

"Thank you, I'll see you tomorrow, I think mom should be on her way home now" James said then stood up from his chair and left.

As for the symbiote that was created, Paris placed it inside a container where it curled itself into a ball and stayed. James had absolutely zero plans on relying on external power like the Symbiotes to become powerful. If he did then he would already be with the Tenth Metal ring that was basically an upgraded version of the cosmic ring or he would have asked Paris to create for him an cosmic cube then he would be able to warp reality on a planetary scale or even more. Apart from those, the lab here was filled with multiple powerful suits, some that could tap into the quantum realm or the microverse, some that were powered by artificial power cosmic.

All these could effectively make James a god but they were still external power and thus could fail him one day like the Freedom ring though his death was more because he lacked imagination. James wanted power that came from himself and not through with the help of some external being or technology. James ignored all these as he left the briefcase, leaving the entire solar system behind as he returned to his room.

As James laid on the bed, it was extremely easy for one to see the smile on his face. Yes, his friend was the Matthew Malloy who suffered all those loses because he couldn't control his powers but in this reality it didn't matter, He would take away the powers and let the boy live his life but at the moment, James was just excited by the fact that he would soon become all-powerful. Of course if this was the DC universe then he would have long being all-powerful since he could just absorb the metal and make it a part of himself then he can just beat Barbatos and take control of the Dark Multiverse and maybe then either decide to let it continue the way it was or just directly change the entire multiverse to a become stable
