CHAPTER 11 : OMEGA

Coping abilities was the most painful experience Killian had ever endured. It wasn't just physical pain or suffering; it felt as if his mind and body were being reconstructed. His blood seemed to be changing, boiling, and thickening. However, when he copied Charles Xavier's ability, he felt an even more excruciating pain, albeit brief. It was so intense that for a moment, death seemed like a more appealing option.

As Killian looked up, he met Charles's confused gaze, which was understandable given that Killian had just demonstrated the same ability as the young boy in front of him. However, when Killian tried to stand, the pain persisted. The voices he heard were overwhelming – too many to count. He covered his ears, but the voices didn't stop; they seemed to be coming from within his brain.

Charles, witnessing Killian's distress, understood what was happening. He had experienced similar pains when he first developed his abilities, but Killian's seemed more intense. Charles wondered, "How does he have the same ability as me?" Killian's anguished screams and frantic head-banging only added to Charles's confusion.

"Killian, relax your mind!" Charles urged, trying to help. However, Killian knew it was futile; the pain wasn't coming from the voices, but from his brain, which felt like it was boiling and evolving.

Suddenly, the pain stopped. Killian's eyes snapped open, and he sat up, drenched in sweat, with red eyes. He looked at Charles, who appeared shocked and helpless. "It's okay," Killian said, trying to reassure him, although his voice felt awkward and forced.

Killian then walked with Charles to the nearest classroom and explained his ability to copy others. Although he didn't mention the system, he informed Charles that he could replicate abilities. This decision might have seemed foolish to some, but Killian trusted Charles.

As they walked, Killian realized that the voices hadn't completely stopped; they were now faint and soft, as if under his control. He understood that his system granted him absolute control over the copied abilities. Under Charles's watchful eyes, Killian began to control the voices, gradually silencing them until they disappeared.

"How did you do that so quickly?" Charles asked, astonished. What stunned him even more was the sheer number of voices Killian had been hearing – seemingly, the thoughts of everyone in the entire school, or perhaps even the whole country. Killian's ability to control them in under 10 minutes was a feat that had taken Charles 30 days to achieve.

As the day progressed, Charles asked fewer questions, feeling that it would be selfish to pry further. Instead, they spent the day discussing mutants, abilities, and related topics. Toward the end of their conversation, Charles asked a question that brought a smile to Killian's face: "Are there others like us?"

It took Killian about 30 minutes to explain the concept of mutants and their origins to Charles. He informed Charles that although mutants were currently few in number, their population would increase over the years. As Killian delved deeper into the topic, he became increasingly engaged and began to explain the power levels of mutants and their possible abilities.

He categorized mutants into four levels:

- Omega Level: These mutants possess virtually limitless potential, with powers that can range from reality manipulation to time and space control. They are extremely rare and considered highly dangerous.

- Alpha Level: These mutants are highly powerful but have limitations to their abilities. They often control a specific element or ability, such as telekinesis, telepathy, or energy manipulation.

- Beta Level: These mutants have strong powers but are limited in either scope, control, or both. Their abilities are still formidable, but they may not be able to fully master their powers or use them in multiple ways.

- Gamma Level: These mutants have limited powers or abilities that are less impressive than those of Alpha and Beta level mutants. However, they may still be able to use their powers in creative or strategic ways.

Charles was shocked by Killian's extensive knowledge. A kid three years younger than him had discovered so much about mutants, even creating a power level system. This was almost too good to be true. Suddenly, a thought rushed into Charles's mind: if Killian's claims were true, it would mean that Killian was an "Omega!"
