Andrew reached the rest area and bought a room.
He also had some books in his hands.
The books were related to coding, networking, and security.
He did not get these books legally of course. He had stolen it from a school library on his way.
No one would suspect anything has he had made sure to delete the footage of the camera recordings before he returned.
He was also looking at the screen that showed the details of Intelligence.
[Intelligence – Capacity of remembering details will increase. Comprehension ability will be activated once the skill is unlocked. Unlock – 0/2 Runes]

[Tier 1 – Comprehension ability will increase by 0.5. Runes – 0/2]
[Tier 2 – Comprehension ability will increase by 0.6. Runes – 0/2]

[Tier 1 – Increase thinking capability speed by 1. Runes – 0/2]
[Tier 2 – Increase thinking capability speed by 2. Runes – 0/2]
[Middle Tree]
[Tier 1 – Parallel thinking. Your Mind becomes two separate minds and will have the capability to do two different things. Runes – 0/15]
[Tier 2 - Parallel thinking. Your Mind becomes three separate minds and will have the capability to do three different things. Runes – 0/25]
When he saw this ability, he decided to save and use the next runes on this as he needed this.
'I know I am not some great thinker or have the ability to create plans within seconds and I am not ashamed of it but I can say I am much better than many others but that is not enough. I want to do more and be more and if I can't achieve that then I can forget about getting my revenge. Damon would have already started to put plans in motion to get me and I have no idea how he would do it' Andrew thought.
Time did not wait for him and gradually a day went and that became two days.
'I have to leave'
Andrew closed the books he had opened which were scattered all over the room.
He took them and placed them in the Inventory.
This was another boon for him.
As Andrew was about to open the door, he stopped.
His instincts kicked up.
'Sniper?'
He ducked and now was on his knees.
There was a thick curtain in the window that he had bought to make sure no one would be able to see through the window.
He held the edges of it and dragged it down.
The moment he did that a shot came from a long distance and made a hole in the window and on the bed. The shot was close to where he had used his hands to remove the thick curtain.
"This is going to be troublesome," uttered Andrew.
He then took the chair nearby his side and threw that at the window which shattered the glass completely.
He moved his head a bit and when a small part of him was seen another bullet was coming at him.
He heard the sound and hid again.
'If they were cops, they should have already surrounded the place and would have asked for me to surrender. This is not them, most likely mercenaries'
His mind started to process a bit faster as he had gone through a lot of books in the past 2 days.
He then used a broken piece of the Window Glass and used it as a mirror to see any point that he can Blink at.
He found a location.
Andrew moved again and a shot was heard which passed in front of him.
Using this chance, he used Blink and hid inside the trash box.
Then quickly once his Mana reached full, he used Blink again.
By doing this again and again he started to close in on the sniper.
The sniper had no idea that Andrew had already escaped from the room and was still pointing his sniper rifle at the room and looking it through the scope.
Andrew reached the building the sniper was in and he did not go inside.
He looked at each side and saw no one and no cameras, Andrew used Blink.
He was now in mid-air and used Blink again and now he could see the sniper at the edge of the building facing towards the rest area which was now beginning to be packed with people due to the gunshots.
The sniper then realized that Andrew is not in the room anymore and panic rose in his mind and heart.
He decided to quickly dismantle his sniper rifle but what he did not expect was Andrew to be on his back like a Death God.
He went dark.
After some time, he woke up to see Andrew staring at him devoid of emotions.
Fear rose in his heart as he saw him and when he thought about how Andrew could have escaped from his room without knowing, his fear increased.
He wanted to say something but Andrew cut short, "Who sent you?"
"There is a bounty for you, I saw you in the hotel yesterday and decided to follow you and if I get the chance...,"
'Bounty?' Andrew thought.
"Do you have a family?" he asked looking at the sniper.
"Yes, a son," said the sniper.
Andrew came forward and checked his pockets and saw a photo of the sniper and his son if what he said is true.
"I want to believe you," uttered Andrew coldly.
"My phone, my phone it has my son's number, it would be saved as 'son', call him," the snipper said begging him.
Andrew took his phone and unlocked it using the thumb of the sniper and went to contacts and saw a number registered as 'son'.
He called it.
The phone was answered in seconds and a voice was heard, "Dad where are you? You said you will be back in an hour but it has been 3 hours after that. Are you okay?"
Andrew looked at the sniper and motioned him to speak.
"Dad's fine, son, don't worry, I will be home soon," said the sniper hoping the last words to be true.
"You know I love you right," the sniper had tears coming down his face.
"Dad is something wrong?" the childlike voice quivered a bit.
"Nothing's wrong, son, just wanted to say it, I will be buying chocolate and strawberry ice cream and return soon," said the sniper taking a deep breath.
"Yay, buy two whole packs," a genuinely happy voice came from the phone.
"Alright, I will be home soon," said the sniper, and Andrew cut the call.
"Why do you do this when you have a son?" questioned Andrew.
"Circumstances, though there is a bounty on you I decided not to go after you at the beginning when I saw you in the hotel," sighed the sniper.
"Then why did you?" a confused Andrew asked.
"I owed someone and he is using that now" said the sniper.
"Who is that?" asked Andrew intrigued at hearing this.
"His name is Zavez," and the moment the sniper said this he felt the temperature drop below minus as he felt a cold that he never could have even though the temperature remained the same.
It took some time for him to come out of this feeling.
"I will let you live, disappear from here and never look back. I will have your phone as Zavez would love to hear my voice and that you failed and died."
"What's your name?"
"Emmet," said the sniper who is now Emmet.
"You be a good father from now on, don't do what you are doing as this will haunt your son in the future"
As Andrew said this a scream came from Emmet which was blocked by a cloth that Andrew had put in his mouth.
He had cut his left wrist completely. It could be attached but it won't be the same as it would always be.
Emmet had rage and anger in his heart but he knew he deserved this and endured it.
Andrew who was about to disappear stopped when Emmet asked him something after spitting the cloth out.
"You didn't do it right, Andrew?" asked Emmet in pain.
Andrew stopped for a second before disappearing from the roof of the building.
Emmet on the roof took his left wrist that was on the ground and took clothes that had been put out to dry on the roof and covered his left hand that had a missing wrist. Blood was continuously pouring down.
"I have to get to Ria, only she can help me," uttered Emmet as he moved and opened the door in the roof and headed down.
Soon he was driving and he will never be seen in the future.
Andrew went back to his car and started to drive.
'I need to change car' thought Andrew as he drove.
In the rear-view mirror, Andrew could see two cars following for some time.
He sighed as he knows the ride is going to be bumpy and troublesome.
