CHAPTER 54

A month has passed since the departure of Andrew. New officials took over the positions of the Corrupt and the Arrested.

The Manhunt for Andrew ordered by the President has no result, as Andrew has completely disappeared from their grid. People of the United States still supported Andrew, and the protest may have died down, but there were still protests in a few states.

On the other hand, Hydra was under pressure as most of the names that Andrew had released were Hydra. Other than that, SHIELD has been sending missions which included one of their own and them not returning alive. They still need solid evidence that SHIELD knows of Hydra, as SHIELD was working the same as usual. There were new missions, recruits, training programs, and agents' promotions. Hydra has also been sending recruits to infiltrate SHIELD whenever a recruitment program is started.

SHIELD has been working day and night everyday eradicating Hydra within their ranks. Fury has also finally figured out who the Hydra leader could be, Alexander Pierce. He still has not told anyone else about this, including Maria, Phil, Natasha, and Barton. He doesn't have proper evidence that points to Alexander Pierce other than photos and meetings. But that was enough for him to put two and two together.

Maria, and Phil, have been creating missions according to the plan, sending out Hydra agents in those teams, and burying them for good. Natasha, and Barton, are involved in the missions, killing them. They have become like bounty hunters, taking out Hydra's top agents within SHIELD.

"I wanna lie down for sometime…" Barton sat on the chair.

"Everyone wants that right now," Maria replied to him and continued, "But we have a job to do now."

Barton sighed. "Who now?"

"Agent Waynard."

"Here we go,"

Details about him sprung out on a screen near Barton, who turned to look into them.

"Where will he be?"

"In Portland…" Maria replied as she showed him the location of a hotel in Portland.

"Take a team of 5 with you. One Y in it," Maria said.

She then left the room for Barton to work on a plan. She headed out to give out similar missions to others who were available and others who had just returned. One of them was Natasha.

"Nat, you ready?" Maria asked.

"5 minutes, and I will be going. I need a jet," Natasha replied to her. She was packing up clothes and weapons. She placed seven knives on her ankles, hands, thighs, and the last one on her waist.

She took a bag which contained civilian clothes, guns, and even Sleep Darts.

"Go to the Base, and take Quinjet 8."

Natasha did as Maria said. She took the elevator and headed to the base. The elevator doors opened as she reached her destined floor. Her view changed as she could now see multiple Quinjets, many bikes, cars, Agents moving in and out, Training for recruits and above her was the first Helicarrier being built.

It took time for her to navigate to the Quinjet assigned to her. Once she reached it, she went in, placed her bag in the small package storage area, and sat on the pilot's seat. The Quinjet began to float. The walls above the Quinjet, which had a distance of 50 feet, began opening, and she took flight.

The location she was going to was Germany. Her mission was to infiltrate a base and steal information from it.

Natasha entered the coordinates to where she had to go, took a laptop by her side, and switched it on. She began creating a new identity for herself, and a mail appeared as she was doing that.

The Mail was encrypted, and there was no name. But she knew who it was.

She decrypted the mail with a key that was given to her beforehand. The mail became clear for her to read. It was short, "Hope you all are doing well. Found a base for TR Weapons manufacturer base. Looking into it. Added images. If anything is familiar, let me know. Also, close to getting info on RR. The mail will delete after a reply."

'This is fast. Ten Rings have been a thorn in SHIELD for years. Now, Andrew has found a base.'

She then looked at the last part and became a bit emotional. Andrew was looking into Red Room as well.

'He has improved in his skills.'

She began quickly sending a reply after seeing the images.

"We are doing well. Departing to Germany and will not be able to connect for a while. Attached a document for the images. Schematics for the building on the images. Be careful when you are looking into RR. There are many widows in Russia protecting the base at all times. They will be among the civilians living as one. You have first to find a compound to break their mind control before you can communicate with them properly."

"Hope you found what you are looking for as well."

She sent the mail. And like it was said in the end, the mail was deleted. She closed her eyes and smiled for a moment before opening them and continuing to create a new identity for herself.

[Vladivostok, Russia.]

There were a lot of Russians and other country people near a huge building.

At the top of the building, Sojourn Enterprises could be seen.

Next to that building is a Mall that reaches close to the height of this building.

At the mall terrace stood a man looking directly at Sojourn Enterprises. His eyes could be seen reading every inch and corner of the building via his binoculars. He had long black hair reaching his shoulders, wearing a Blue T-Shirt and black pants.

There were many others on the terrace doing the same instead of focusing on the building the man was in, and they were focusing on taking pictures and sharing them on Social Media and with friends and getting likes and comments.

The man brought the binoculars down and began planning in his mind. He needed to infiltrate the building to get more information. Not only did he need more information, he could also feel something calling for him.

It was strange as he had never had this feeling before. But he remembers this feeling via another object that has now been liberated—the Heart. Whenever there were Runes, the Heart would begin beating fast, indicating a Rune was close by. So, the man was 90% sure it was a Rune. But he can only confirm that once he sees it for himself.

"Mr. Andrew," The man with the binoculars and sighting at Sojourn Building was none other than Andrew. Andrew turned to see his interpreter coming toward him.

"Igor," Andrew called. He then looked at the watch to see the time was 12:30 PM. He remembered telling Igor to come to fetch him in case he forgot.

"You asked me to come at 12:30 PM," Igor said.

"Thanks, let's go," Andrew said. They both began heading to the elevator and eventually out of the Mall.

Andrew was contemplating how to get into the building. The Security was tight even if he disrupted the Cameras and Communication. Each floor had a few security guards roaming around to check everything. Then there were the workers, employees, and visitors who entered the building.

'The best way is to go as Visitor and infiltrate. I have everything I need in the Inventory, so I don't have to worry about that. I can get the Runes, but I still have to figure out where the information I need is.' As he was planning, a sound interrupted him.

The message was from Natasha. She had replied to his mail. He looked into the mail and opened the document she had attached. It was the schematics for the Sojourn Enterprises Building.

'It's good to know they are all doing well, and the schematics will be useful.'

Andrew closed the mail and headed back to the hotel he had booked.
