CHAPTER 48

Andrew was climbing down the stairs as he left bodies behind him.

Adrian, Yellow, and Damon knew their end was coming as they saw all the cameras going out a few minutes back.

They did not know what to do after what they had seen.

The Skull Mask, the Black Power, the ruthlessness… they all knew whom that ruthlessness belonged to. They all knew the reason behind the Skull Mask. But they could not fathom the Black Power they witnessed.

Damon responded, "Yellow… the underground pathway. Are you aware of the route?"

Yellow, stricken in fear, responded to the question, "He is…" He pointed to Adrian.

Damon turned to see Adrian curled up and muttering, "Forgive me… Sorry… Want… to Live… Sorry…"

Damon could see that Adrian had become a lost cause, but he was their only hope.

He placed his hands on Adrian's shoulders, shook him, and yelled, "WE CAN LIVE ONLY IF YOU GUIDE US!!"

Adrian felt like a ray of hope came into his life as he quickly remembered the Underground Pathway he had created for this safe house when he was introduced to this place.

The Pathway will lead to a CIA Facility.

Adrian quickly got up and moved to the end of the room. He looked at the stone wall before him as he tried to remember something.

He placed his hands on the stone wall and moved them to the sides. He felt one small part of the stone wall pushable. A wall to the side began breaking into a rectangle when he pushed it.

Yellow and Damon were delighted, including Adrian.

Adrian said, "Let's go…"

The other two followed behind him in the pathway that was opened to them. There were lights installed into the path. The Pathway was like a Miner's cave with stone walls to the side and above them.

Damon and Yellow began running as Adrian led the way.

Andrew, meanwhile, was looking at this through his Dark Vision. Zooming out of his vision was a room full of Armed Men aiming at a door he must walk through.

"Come Forth"

A Black Mist came out of Andrew's Shadow, which was not visible due to no light in his way.

"Void Berserker… show me what it is…"

"I thank you for this chance, My Lord," Jacob, who appeared, began radiating a small amount of Void around him. His outfit was only his underwear, which he wore when he died and was resurrected.

The Void around Jacob covered his body, similar to a black shirt. The Void began condensing in the form of a circle in front of him. He put both his hands inside it and, the next second, drew them out.

Two Axes made of the Obsidian Metal from the Outsider's Domain emerged through it.

Andrew's brows frowned upon seeing this.

"My Lord, when you resurrected me, I was given knowledge on how to access my weapons and powers…"

Jacob could see Andrew wanted a further explanation.

"Void Berserker allows me to have two Axes and tap into the Void to use Berserker's Domain. Berserker's Domain creates a field of Void where I can move faster, have greater endurance and…"

"Berserker's Domain," Jacob uttered, and Andrew could see the Void being manifested in the form of a Domain of 50 meters, with Jacob being the center of it. As he moved, the Domain moved along with him.

"The closer to death I am, the more the Domain increases. Not only in the distance but also my strength…"

Jacob opened the door and welcomed the gift of multiple gunshots. A few pierced through his body, but then he flickered and appeared behind one of the Armed Men.

With a swift notion of his axes, the Armed Men was cut in three. His head flew in the air, and his chest and legs got separated into two.

"Grenade!!!" One yelled and threw a grenade, and the others tried to find some cover.

One of the Axes on Jacob's hand disappeared as he caught the Grenade. He quickly moved close to one of the Armed Men and punctured him in the stomach with the Grenade. He threw him to the other side, where there were four more Armed Men.

*BOOM*

Blood and flesh went in all directions, including fire-starting on the other side as the grenade went off.

Jacob continued the massacre until everyone was down to pieces. All it took was about 24 seconds.

Andrew continued as he opened the door to the room where Damon was last. Jacob followed behind.

Andrew turned to the stone wall that was open and went toward it.

Andrew could not see even a faint silhouette at the end of the range as he used Dark Vision. The narrow Pathway allowed only two people to walk side by side.

'This should mostly lead them to a Warehouse with a plane in it, or a dead end with a manhole above it, an apartment building, a Mall, or another CIA Safehouse, or a CIA Facility… I have to be quick if this path leads to the last two as there might be others which would delay me…'

"Let's go…"

With a step, Andrew was already 30 meters ahead, leaving behind the broken ground.

Jacob began to follow Andrew as well as he used his Berserker's Domain to enhance his speed.

"We still have to go for another 10 minutes… We better pick our speed…" Adrian said, not realizing Andrew was already on the pathway. He began running, followed by Damon and Yellow.

Andrew was running at a higher speed as his Agility rose by 2 Tiers. Every step of his destroyed the ground as he could not yet have control of his newfound Strength.

He did not know he was doing this as there was only one thought: killing Adrian, Yellow, and Damon. He stopped as he saw a Red-Silhouette appearing in his Dark Vision Range.

*BOOM*

The ground cracked, which shook the pathway as Andrew, with force, went toward the Red-Silhouette.

Jacob, who was close behind Andrew, and the three in the front, felt this shaking.

"What was that?" Yellow asked, panicked.

Adrian began running even faster, thinking it could be an earthquake.

Damon ran along with Adrian as fast as he could. He felt that shaking to be the premonition of his death.

Yellow also acted quickly and started his sprint.

*BOOM*

Another tremor went past them. The Stone Walls above them began to shake.

Yellow barely managed to escape as a stone the size of two footballs fell behind him.

Adrian and Damon were also having trouble as the pathway began to tremble. They stopped for a moment to regain their balance.

Yellow fell to his butt due to his near death and turned to see behind him once more.

HE saw the Man in Mask in the distance running at him.

"HE'S HERE… RUN NOW!!!"

Yellow yelled like a child seeing his greatest nightmare. He has completely forgotten his dignity, status, reputation, power, and assets in the face of the Man in Mask, whom he knew was Andrew.

Yellow ran as if there was no tomorrow.

He saw Adrian and Damon running 2 to 3 meters before him. A hand grasped the side of his head, and his vision moved from Adrian and Damon to the wall to the side, his face getting smashed soon enough.

"Ahhhhh" He yelled in pain as half his face was smashed into the wall. The Sharp stones cut his face as he was dragged by the hand. He was continuously dragged against the wall and soon thrown to the two in front of him like a ragged doll.

Adrian and Damon knew Andrew was behind them. With Yellow's plea for help and screaming in pain, they had no doubt.

They felt a body crash into them, making them fall and grunt in pain.

Despair washed over Adrian as he knew today to be his last day. He knew he would have a hell of pain before he died.

On the other hand, Damon has come to terms with his death. There was no need to feel fear and despair. He has done what he wanted to do. He wanted to be with Emma, but that did not happen. He killed her along with her daughter. He wanted power and felt it in his hands for some time. He wanted Andrew to suffer a fate worse than death, and he succeeded. His success was in front of him in a Mask. Even after his death, even if Andrew thinks he has moved on from his wife and daughter's death… he will always remember it by his birthday. He killed them all on Andrew's birthday, which will be a constant reminder. All he has towards Andrew is anger and hatred, which can be seen on his face. He had taken everything from him, and he did the same to Andrew. But even then, his anger and hatred towards Andrew will never die, as Andrew was better than him. That was one thing he could not accept, but deep down, he knew, which only made it worse. He gritted his teeth and his face contorted as he saw Andrew coming close to him. He heard Emma's voice, "I love Andrew, and I don't love you. I know you, Damon, and I know what you do… I will never love you… Please stay away from our life… I have told you not to bother me…" His face morphed into hatred as Emma's voice enveloped with each step of Andrew made.

Andrew walked toward all three of them. He could see the despair in Adrian's face, fear and pain in Yellow as he was screaming and crawling to his escape. On the other hand, Damon has come to terms with his death. He does not feel even a bit of regret. But Andrew could feel the anger and hatred from him. Rage boiled inside of Andrew. He was having difficulty controlling it. He wanted to tear him apart but stopped as the place began to crumble slowly. Three sleep darts appeared in his hands as he reached behind each of them in a swift motion and injected them with it. They were soon knocked out.

"Jacob, carry Yellow and Adrian…"

All three did not see Jacob at all as he was using Void to increase the darkness around him.

Andrew carried Damon as they disappeared.

They soon came out of the Secret Pathway and rushed to the ground floor.

Andrew called for the Quinjet as he took a device from his inventory to make the Quinjet reach his location.

They did not have to wait for long as the Quinjet hovered above.

Andrew and Jacob jumped high enough as the Quinjet opened behind, carrying them.

"Tie them all up…"

Andrew set a destination on the Quinjet, and it started its flight.
