Chapter 4

It has been a while since anything interesting has happened other than business oriented. I was somewhat surprised that shield hasn't yet sniffed me out, either that or they are observing me from afar. I would think I would notice that though, who knows?

I wasn't really planning to get involved with much when it comes to canon unless actually necessary. Mostly because it would be somewhat akin to using a nuke to swat a bug. It is possible I will dawn the suit and cape to help people but not until Stark makes his debut at the least, as it will help me narrow down the timeline at least a little bit.

I wasn't really surprised when in early 2009 Tony Starks convoy was attack and he went missing. Wasn't really my problem though. I like him enough as a hero and such but he needs to go through these life experiences to become the hero he was meant to be. Or die trying I suppose. It sounds cold of me I'm sure but it simply is what it is and I dont like him enough to alter his future other than maybe helping him with his poison issues.

Other that that I can't really think of much to do, I will of course invest in Stark industries when it tanks, but that's a given! Also it's a mundane use of my time. I think I may be a little bit lazy.

I also know Atlantis exists. While I haven't met any of them, the ships scans can pick up strange readings in the ocean. I guess it would be more accurate to say that I suspect Atlantis is down there.

I also happen to know that the Inhumans are on the moon. I wouldn't have noticed them if I wasn't looking for them specifically but yes, while I can't 'see' them, I get good enough readings to know they are at least there.

I also found strange readings in the middle of nowhere in the Mediterranean Sea, I'm sure we can all guess who is located there I am sure. Which means now I get to search for Diana Prince, assuming she has left the island. Which I know she has since I searched through all the old ww1 documents and old photos as I could find. I also searched out legends for battles that happened in that area and while I didn't find much I found enough to tell me that a beautiful goddess helped push back the Germans in a battle and liberated a small town.

That gave me enough information to track her in the present since I know she works in the Louvre museum.

While I don't really want to interfere, I am also tempted to begin starting my own small team, similar to the avengers. Though I don't think I will recruit any of their members. It is also likely that we would work together from time to time.

The one thing I haven't been able to find very many of were mutants, yes I know they exist and I know they have powers, but I expected to see many times the numbers. For instance I know Emma Frost exists currently, Charles Xavier and many other big names are out there. They must still be effectively keeping things under wraps.

One of the things I have been curious about is if Kara will fall to earth like in her tv show but a obnoxious thought hits my mind like a baseball bat to the dome. What if she is in the reservoir in smallville??? Sigh... such a possibly simple oversight, I could have had an near instant Ally.. sigh.... I feel like I will be doing a lot of that after this, if it pans out.

Aaaaand two days later it did... I am officially annoyed with myself. I admittedly completely forgot about her as a character, I feel kinda bad about that. Mostly because in every version she is basically stupidly hot, but I am Kal-El and she is my cousin, I do not practice the ways of the Targaryens.

It took a few hours for the helper robots to clean the pod of kryptonite and store the shit away and then transport the larger pod to my research lab on the outskirts of New York. After that it was simple to have the little bots to wake Kara up. I made sure she was surrounded by kryptonian technology so she would at least be around things she understood.

After a few minutes the pod opens and a young women, probably in her hate teens or early twenties slowly steps out.

"Where am I?" She asks to nobody in particular after looking around for a moment still in a bit of a daze. (she spoke in kryptonian but I'm not even going to try to translate :x)

"You are in my facility, do you remember your name? Who you are? You have been in suspended animation for many years so it could take a few hours for everything to come back." I tell her in as gentle a voice as I can muster.

It took her a moment to think things through before she could answer. "I am Kara Zor-El and I am looking for my baby cousin Karl-El. She told me beginning to look frantic, putting things together quickly. After all I'd just told her she was in cryo for years already. "I need to go find my baby cousin now!" She said beginning to look for a way out.

I just looked at her like she was a bit silly, but she was probably still not thinking clearly after so long in suspended animation. "You do realize this is a big world right? You also realize I am surrounded by Kryptonian technology yessss? I hope you also realize I am also Kryptonian hmmmm?" She looks like she is going to walk over and hit me really hard so I decide to quit messing with the obviously angry super teen.

"Well if somebody had asked my name, I would have told you that it is Kal-El, son of Jor-El and Lara. I have been on this world for many years now." I tell her in as sympathetic voice as I can.

She just looks me up and down for a moment and then without hesitation she simply says "No." while shaking her blond head and crossing her arms.

"What do you mean no??? We can do a simple blood comparison test if that will help? You are smart, so I will let you handle everything from start to finish!" I told her in a cheerful voice! "Also I always wanted a younger sister but I will settle for a baby cousin!" I tel her with a shit eating grin plastered all over my face.

"No!!! If you are Karl-El then I am the older sibling, I do not relinquish that title!" She said with a hint of annoyance but also excitement that I might actually be who I say I am.

It only really took a few minutes to get it over with considering our technology and the fact we had access to kryptonite. I obviously had to explain that one to her also as a warning to avoid it.

I looked at her with a smug look. "So little sister, are you ready for a crash course on all things human? I will even call in reinforcements to help you acclimatize to what is considered fashionable on earth and so such, I think you will like her, we have been friends since I was a kid."

She just sighs, knowing it will be an annoying amount of work. "But you still are a kid to me, squirt!" She complains in a petulant voice to which I just laugh at.

"Come on let's get your first meal on your new home Kara, I think you will enjoy it." She just grinned and agreed immediately. Now I just had to keep her mind off of the loss of her home world .....sigh.
