Chapter 11
It was the middle of the night, and Oliver reveled in the soothing night breeze as he silently navigated the backside of the penthouse. The darkness enveloped him, providing the ideal cover for his nocturnal activities. Gazing up at the 35-foot-tall penthouse, he remarked, "This is shorter than the usual penthouses, but it does make my job a little easier." A subtle smile played on his lips as he donned his customary black suit, the shoes equipped with an active options skill, a crossbody bag, and a large backpack slung over his shoulders.
"Alright, let's do this," he muttered to himself, reaching into the larger backpack. He retrieved what appeared to be a grappling hook, its glow now resonating with a vibrant hue of energy. Glancing at the options of the item, he chuckled, "I'm really reluctant to try this." A discerning observer might notice a slight reduction in the item's durability.

the item proved to be remarkably effective, bordering on overpowered, making Oliver hesitant about using it recklessly. "What if I need a quick escape and just need to zip across to the next building?" Imagining the worst-case scenarios, he pondered for a moment before sighing and stowing the hook away.
"I'll find another way in." Opting for a different approach, he produced an old, worn-out clock. "Well, the old way it is," he smiled, activating the skill on the item. The cloak enveloped him, allowing him to blend seamlessly into the shadows and conceal his presence—akin to the skill embedded in his full-body suit.

After finding his way inside the penthouse, Oliver stood in a wide, white room adorned with several pedestals. Each pedestal held an array of different items, from necklaces to paintings and vases, all left unclaimed. Yet, something felt off to Oliver as he surveyed the pedestals. "No glasses, no security, just cameras," he mused to himself, determined not to be caught off guard. He placed his backpack down, retrieving a water spray, which he deftly applied to a golden cube.
The spray revealed several red lines crisscrossing the cube, prompting a chuckle from Oliver. "Well, these are my first lasers, aren't i glad i prepared just in case" He equipped two finger gloves, also emitting a soft glow. Activating his MP, he realized he was out of mana, having used it for the shadow blend on the old worn-out clock. "Damn," he muttered, waiting for 1 more minute before activating the sleight of hand on the gloves. Nimbly maneuvering through the gaps in the invisible alert system, he retrieved the golden cube. The vases and painting, however, were too large to pass through the lasers, leaving them as potential targets for another time.
"Rich people," Oliver grumbled audibly, suddenly hearing someone snickering behind him. Startled, he turned to see a tall man with smooth hair, a goatee, and a dark suit, accompanied by a stunning woman with snow-white hair and pale skin.
The man remarked with a smile, "Look, the younger generations are doing well," while the woman added, "Oh, don't mind us. And while you're at it, why don't you grab that necklace for me? It's quite beautiful, and drop the watch; it's shiny, i want it" Ignoring their requests, Oliver turned toward the balcony on the opposite side, activating the skill on his shoes for a burst of speed. Both pursuers were surprised by his agility. "Oh, he is fast," the woman exclaimed, and the man chuckled, noting, "And he leaves behind a perfectly good blender."
Swift and highly trained, they gave chase. Reaching the balcony, the woman anticipated Oliver's halt, but he surprised her by jumping. "Kid, wait!" she yelled as Oliver leaped off the balcony, deploying a grappling gun to ascend swiftly to the building opposite. Observing the escape, both the man and woman smiled. "Look at him swinging away. A little rough on the edges, but with a bit of polishing, he might put those hands to good use," the woman commented, chuckling, while the man showcased a blender with an amusing grin.
"A blender?" the woman questioned, raising an eyebrow. The man flirtatiously responded, "It's quite useful. Or do you not drink water?" With a smirk, she replied, "I drink wine." The man chuckled, revealing his perfect artificial teeth, "Well, a little smooth juice here and there never really hurt anyone, do it?" He flirtatiously approached, and the woman returned his chuckle, accepting the blender. "How about we take this inside and see what juice we can make?" she suggested, pushing the blender toward his chest as she walked away, swaying her hips. The man nearly whistled, amused by the encounter.

Far from the penthouse, Oliver landed gracefully from a fire escape. Now, he had only his crossbody bag around his waist, no longer burdened by the large backpack. He hid behind a massive dumpster, removed his full-body suit, ensuring there were no cameras, and folded it, placing it inside the bag. Before donning a blond wig, he took a moment to assess his surroundings. "You can never be too careful," he muttered, securing the wig, which came with the following options.
[ Name: Blonde Wig ]
[ Grade: White ]
[ Description: A wig with a natural blonde hue, crafted for the art of disguise or fashion. Whether blending into a crowd or embracing a new persona, this wig has seen its fair share of adventures. ]
