Fighting a mysterous figure, meeting blade, and encounter with another eldritch abominations(chapter 37)

Using the data provided by the drone, Oliver swiftly positioned himself in front of the woman. Her black hair appeared neglected, and her clothes emanated an unpleasant odor, indicative of weeks without a change. Panic gripped her as the vampire closed in, but fortune favored her as Oliver, drawing his two bone swords, stepped into the scene.

One sword was the unsharpenable bone sword, and the other, the Tyrant's Blade, bestowed upon Oliver a 50% boost in agility, strength, and reflexes. With this enhanced condition, he not only parried the vampire's mid-air assault on the woman but also managed to push the creature back. The vampire, seeing Oliver, snarled and declared in an unholy voice, "He will have her," before lunging at Oliver. Remaining calm, Oliver swung his sword with precision, cutting through the vampire smoothly while activating the Emberstrike skill. As the vampire's corpse burned, the woman, having ceased her escape, fell to her knees in panic.

However, Oliver regarded her with a frown, thinking, "Aren't I glad I'm not powerless in this messed-up world. Too bad about the vampire's blood, but his fangs should do." As he attempted to sheathe his sword, he suddenly jumped back, and a figure landed gracefully, wearing a familiar red ninja armor and a golden uni mask. The man glanced at the woman before turning his attention to Oliver and the burning vampire corpse.

Observing Oliver's sword, the figure drew what appeared to be a sabre. The man launched himself at Oliver, who parried with both of his swords. The figure, noticeably larger in muscle mass, could be attributed to his armor. Despite the stature, he wasn't taller than Oliver. Puzzled, Oliver frowned and executed a cross-cut with his swords, intending to create distance and gain a better look at the mysterious figure.

Who also seemed to agree with Oliver as he stretched out his hand, causing a golden energy to materialize. He smeared it onto the sabre, illuminating it in a radiant golden glow. Observing this, Oliver remarked, "Oh, so we're using powers, okay." With that, Oliver vanished, leaving both the woman and the figure in red armor astonished. Just as swiftly, Oliver reappeared, but this time, he wielded the Marrow God's Blade no more; instead, he brandished the Anti-Metal Blade. The figure, noting the change, attacked again, displaying increased speed.

However, Oliver paused, deftly dodging the man's sword strikes. The figure exhibited advanced swordsmanship, leaving trails of golden flame wherever his sword cut. Oliver, outclassed in swordplay, recognized the skill. Glancing briefly at the woman, he caught her smile, and she frowned quickly as Oliver sheathed his sword. The figure, noticing Oliver's frown while looking at the woman, spoke in a language Oliver didn't understand. The supposedly helpless woman now emanated black energy, turning her eyes completely black.

"What the heck did I get myself into?" Oliver groaned audibly as he readied his Anti-Metal Blade. The woman, or rather the creature, snickered and said, "Something beneficial, little hunter. As long as you kill the man next to you, I can grant anything you want—wealth, power, status," it offered. Oliver, however, wasn't buying into the offer, and he certainly didn't trust the man with the golden sabre. Activating the Nullifications Guardian, he responded, "Well, what do you say? Oh, and how rude of me, what is your name?" The creature shrugged, only for another person to appear in the same fashion.

This new figure, a black man wearing a black pastor coat and wielding two blades, also had numerous shards lodged into the side of his body. "The Adana!" the newcomer yelled, while the creature said, "Hello, Eric, you seem to be healing quite nicely." The man, now a blade, the day walker, crawled towards Oliver and the figure, stating, "She is mine." However, the man with the golden sabre, oblivious to their conversation, remarked, "Yeah, whatever he said," while Oliver pointed to the figure without changing his expression.

Standing in the same alleyway, Oliver, Blade, and the figure faced the supposed scared woman. However, she decided to reveal her true self by brutally tearing off the human disguise she wore. The ripping stopped at the muscle, and literal darkness seeped toward her, covering her breasts and private parts. Blade was the first to attack, launching himself at the creature with speed. Yet, the woman anticipated Blade's speed, employing telekinesis to fling everything in the alleyway before effortlessly defeating him with a flick of her wrist.

Oliver and the figure were quick to make their move, but the eldritch god, revealed as another eldritch god, unleashed a magical attack that twisted the figure into an unholy position, resulting in his demise. Oliver immediately halted, staring at the eldritch creature holding the golden sabre, which she made vanish. As she turned toward Oliver, she said, "Do you want to tell me your name now, hunter?" Her voice had grown more horrific, unsettling Oliver, who used the duration of his Nullification Guardian to attack the creature, only for her to conjure a dark shield.

Parrying Oliver's attack, the eldritch god conjured a blade of darkness sharp enough to slice through the concrete floor. However, it was halted by the thin membrane around Oliver. "Interesting," the eldritch abomination remarked as Oliver attempted another strike. Unsuccessful, Oliver disappeared, prompting a slight snicker from the abomination, who turned toward Blade, healing from his injuries. "Well, that is disappointing. I thought he would last longer," she commented while walking toward Blade. Suddenly, the eldritch creature turned around to face a 6 feet 5 inches tall figure in a yellow and black symbiote suit, wielding a giant T-Rex club. The figure struck her down, parrying the blade with an invisible shield, causing a visible shockwave upon collision. Despite parrying the attack, the eldritch god felt the poison seep into her unholy body and found herself bound by vines. Dismissing the poison and tearing the vines, she declared, "You are getting more and more entertaining, mortal. Show me, show me more," yelling in excitement.
