Marvel: A Titan's Dream (Completed)

Kai was a psychopath, deemed clinically insane by the medical community. He had always been strange, the kind of strange that would make him dance in a dark room with headphones on while chugging down bottles of milk. Yes, he was a milk addict, and he took it to a whole new level. The voice in his head was his only friend, the only constant in his otherwise chaotic life. One day, Kai escaped from the mental asylum where he had been confined for years. He had no idea what he would do next or where he would go, but he was determined to escape his reality. He found an abandoned building and made it his home, but fate had other plans for him. Kai died in that building, but instead of his consciousness fading away, he transmigrated into the body of a young Thanos. When he realized where he was, he had an existential crisis. Thanos was a madman who pursued the concept of death, but Kai was scared of death. It was ironic that he had transmigrated into Thanos' body.

As the sun began to set on the desolate landscape, bathing it in hues of crimson and gold, Kai Thanos sat calmly on the rough, arid ground. The wind, hot and arid, whistled softly in his ears as it stirred the sand around him. He squinted up at the two setting suns, their diminishing brilliance reflected in his azure eyes. The horizon was on fire, and the world seemed to be painted in shades of molten gold and deepening purple, a surreal sight that was eerily beautiful.

To his right, a bizarre bug-like creature stood, its gaze fixated on the titan with an unspoken reverence. Of the Swarm he had sent out earlier, he had asked this one to stay behind. Having been given the opportunity to stand beside their creator, the creature looked at Thanos with what could only be interpreted as awe. Its body bore unknown features, some parts transforming into weapons of their own, adapting to the environment and challenges it faced.

A voice in Thanos' head chimed in, drawing his attention back to the past, 'Seems like these little guys are adapting well even in this world, they remind me of the game we used to play on Earth, remember?' A hint of nostalgia tugged at Thanos' heart as he remembered the times spent in a different world, in a different life.

"Yeah," Thanos replied, a faint smile tugging at his lips as he looked back at the bug-like creature, "Zerg seemed like a good name, but I still prefer the Swarm."

His gaze traveled over the creature again, taking in the details of its form. Its exoskeleton was tough yet flexible, its body covered in patterns that seemed like intricate armor. Two pairs of eyes glowed with an eerie light, exuding an alien intelligence. It had evolved from the remains of the Inhumans, an adaptation that still managed to astound Thanos. The mere fact that they had developed abilities from the monstrous corpses they had consumed was a testament to their evolving nature.

"I had some doubts when they evolved from the Inhuman's corpses, but now...They even managed to develop some abilities from those alien monster's corpses they devoured."

His companion's voice echoed in his head again, 'Do you think they'll be able to cultivate if we feed them some martial artists? I can't wait to see it.' Thanos gave a faint chuckle, his hand reaching out to pet the creature. The creature made strange noises, almost akin to a cat purring under the touch of its owner. The titan responded, "I am not sure, but I at least hope that an Alpha will be born in the new Swarm. It might even be able to fight a cultivator on his own, who knows."

Before the conversation could continue, Thanos received a mental notification from multiple Swarm members. They had found a seemingly large base, fortified and brimming with life. He switched his point of view, looking through the eyes of his Swarm. From their perspective, he saw a walled compound with towers at every corner. Guards in ragged clothes patrolled the fortifications while below, countless tents filled the space.

Fires burned brightly, casting flickering shadows on the faces of men and women indulged in revelry. Laughter and boisterous yells echoed, competing with the raucous melodies of stringed instruments. A few men, bodies entwined, were scattered around, engaging in procreative activities with little concern for modesty, while others labored under the watchful eyes of their masters.

Thanos pulled his consciousness back to his body, his gaze focused on the setting suns.

'It might be too reckless to send the Swarm, they might have means of communication to connect with potential other bandits.'

His mind was ablaze with thoughts and plans. He had been pondering the idea of creating a reputation for himself in this new world as it might be useful for him later. These bandits could serve as a perfect opportunity. He wasn't worried about the physical fight - as per Old Wu's information, the average bandit was hardly a cultivator, at most, they had 'techniques.'

Having gathered enough information, he cut off the point of view and returned to his senses. "Alright, let's do that," he mumbled, standing up and brushing off the dirt from his clothes. Thanos began his march towards the base, the orange and pink hues of the setting suns cast an ominous glow on his massive figure. Unbeknownst to the bandits in a festive mood, they were already surrounded by the Swarm, an army that had already proven its ruthlessness on a faraway planet.
