Marvel: A Titan's Dream (Completed)

Kai was a psychopath, deemed clinically insane by the medical community. He had always been strange, the kind of strange that would make him dance in a dark room with headphones on while chugging down bottles of milk. Yes, he was a milk addict, and he took it to a whole new level. The voice in his head was his only friend, the only constant in his otherwise chaotic life. One day, Kai escaped from the mental asylum where he had been confined for years. He had no idea what he would do next or where he would go, but he was determined to escape his reality. He found an abandoned building and made it his home, but fate had other plans for him. Kai died in that building, but instead of his consciousness fading away, he transmigrated into the body of a young Thanos. When he realized where he was, he had an existential crisis. Thanos was a madman who pursued the concept of death, but Kai was scared of death. It was ironic that he had transmigrated into Thanos' body.

Duality

The training room was a testament to the Mad Titan's dedication to honing his skills and those of his allies. Chloe, the blonde woman, found herself in the midst of an intense exercise, attempting to approach Thanos and touch him physically to claim victory. The Titan, ever focused, maintained a meditative stance, wielding his psychokinesis to launch wooden projectiles at her.

Chloe's agility was pushed to its limits as she dodged the incoming barrage. Sometimes, she used her own psychokinesis to redirect the projectiles, while other times she relied on acrobatic maneuvers to evade the relentless assault. The pace intensified, forcing her to concentrate even harder as she attempted to close the gap between them.

Alas, one projectile found its mark, striking her squarely in the chest. Another followed, and then another. She stumbled, defeated, and looked up to find herself surrounded by a whirlwind of wooden projectiles poised to pierce her at Thanos' command. The Mad Titan, his expression impassive, remarked, "Good, you managed to last one more minute than the last time."

Chloe, panting heavily, managed a weak, "Thanks." Thanos stood and approached her, offering advice on how to improve her control over her powers. He then instructed her to go and take a shower. She begrudgingly nodded and left the training room.

Moments later, a message from the Scarlet Witch, Wanda, arrived on Thanos' communication device. She informed him that she and Pietro had been tasked with playing bodyguards for Tony Stark. The siblings were understandably furious, not only at the prospect of protecting their parents' murderer, but also because Stark might become a member of the Avengers Initiative. However, revealing their true identities would only complicate matters further, so they begrudgingly complied with their orders.

Thanos mused inwardly, 'An unexpected surprise, the future is changing.' The voice in his head chimed in, 'We've now got sleeping agents in the Avengers Initiative.' It chuckled, 'What kind of fever dream is that, hehehe.' Thanos could almost imagine the voice, if it had a body, holding its head in an edgy manner like some red-eyed survivor of a clan's massacre.

With a sigh, Thanos rose and went about his day, attending his weekly therapy session with Dr. Samson, overseeing the company's assets and management, and performing all the tasks expected of a CEO. As he went through his daily activities, he noticed his emotions becoming more manageable. Was it due to his Titan physiology, the therapy sessions, or a combination of both? In truth, he didn't care.

Thanos had come to terms with his existence – a powerful alien inhabiting a human body, living as both an exemplary CEO and a future universal overlord. This was his reality, and if given the chance to turn back time and choose another path, he would take the same one again and again. For now, he was something more than human, something greater.

Chloe, now refreshed from her shower, returned to the training room. She was determined to succeed in her next session, pushing herself even harder than before. As she stretched and prepared, the Mad Titan observed the city from the vantage point of his room, ever calculating, ever planning, and always ready to face whatever challenges the future had in store for him and his growing empire.

This was the duality of Thanos, the Mad Titan.
