Marvel: A Titan's Dream (Completed)

Kai was a psychopath, deemed clinically insane by the medical community. He had always been strange, the kind of strange that would make him dance in a dark room with headphones on while chugging down bottles of milk. Yes, he was a milk addict, and he took it to a whole new level. The voice in his head was his only friend, the only constant in his otherwise chaotic life. One day, Kai escaped from the mental asylum where he had been confined for years. He had no idea what he would do next or where he would go, but he was determined to escape his reality. He found an abandoned building and made it his home, but fate had other plans for him. Kai died in that building, but instead of his consciousness fading away, he transmigrated into the body of a young Thanos. When he realized where he was, he had an existential crisis. Thanos was a madman who pursued the concept of death, but Kai was scared of death. It was ironic that he had transmigrated into Thanos' body.

2nd Stage: Bone Reformation

Guarding the entrance of the cave, a young man known as Lee stood at the ready. He was still awash in the raw thrill of his recent initiation into the world of cultivators, a glorious and radiant glow of newfound power pulsating within him. His senses, now keen as a falcon's, absorbed every iota of the world around him: the hushed whispers of leaves swaying in the wind, the minuscule rustles of critters scurrying in the undergrowth, the shifting shadows on the forest floor, all were vividly pronounced.

From the depths of the cave he was tasked to protect, a strange pressure, formidable and overwhelming, began to emanate. It was a feeling that escalated gradually, growing ever stronger, akin to the crescendo of a symphony that had just begun. In spite of his recent induction into the mysteries of cultivation, Lee could feel this surge of raw, unshackled energy echoing from the cave. His thoughts drifted toward the source of this power. 'Just how potent is Master?' He wondered, his mind filled with awe and curiosity. This silent contemplation, however, didn't distract him from his primary duty. His focus remained steadfast, his loyalty to his master unwavering.

Inside the cave, veiled by the shroud of darkness, Thanos sat in solemn concentration. His eyes remained closed, his face set in a mask of intense concentration. As he drew in the ambient energy around him, an ancient incantation slipped from his lips, echoing against the cold, hard walls of the cave. "Once the connection with the heaven has been made, one must use its energy to forge a new vessel," he murmured, a voice of granite reciting time-honored wisdom of the ancient cultivators. As he channeled this heavenly energy, it mingled and intertwined with his core, fusing into a beacon of immeasurable power.

Suddenly, a brilliant, fiery light exploded from Thanos, illuminating the darkness with a resplendent crimson hue. This ethereal glow was the embodiment of his ascension, the symbol of the heavenly energy coursing through him. His blood felt as if it were boiling, a scorching heat consuming him from within. His bones creaked and groaned, shifting and reforming under the tremendous strain. The pain was intense, but Thanos bore it unflinchingly. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, his resilience unwavering, his resolve unbroken.

Slowly, his eyes fluttered open. A pair of glowing azure orbs, radiant like twin celestial bodies, pierced through the inky darkness. The pressure building within the cave suddenly erupted, bursting forth like a powerful gust of wind, stirring the air and making the cave entrance tremble with its might. The wave of energy shocked Lee, causing his eyes to widen in surprise. His master was making his breakthrough.

Inside the cave, the bluish gleam in Thanos' eyes served as a lighthouse in the pitch-black darkness, a testament to his newfound might. With newfound power radiating from him, he announced, "2nd Stage: Bone Reformation," his voice echoing through the cavern.

Thanos stood up, his aura pulsating with a newfound sense of awareness and power. He was like an ageless being reborn, his every sense heightened, his every move brimming with strength that could shake the heavens. He extended his palm to touch the rough, cold wall of the cave. The moment his fingers made contact, a series of spiderweb-like cracks erupted from the point of contact, spreading across the stone surface like a wild, untamed vine.

With a mere flex of his new-found power, Thanos exerted pressure on the wall. An invisible force radiated from his fingertips, causing the rocky structure to tremble, the cracks deepening and widening. Chunks of rock started to fall, crashing onto the cave floor, creating a cloud of dust and debris. A satisfied grin appeared on his face, a single thought echoing in his mind, 'Good.'

Thanos then began his exit from the cave, stepping out from the dust-filled atmosphere, back into the serene tranquility of the forest. His appearance prompted an immediate bow from Lee, who respectfully acknowledged his master's accomplishment. "Congratulations on your breakthrough, Master," Lee greeted.

In response, Thanos nodded, acknowledging his servant's show of respect. His gaze hardened, and he motioned Lee to follow him. "Let's continue your training. I want you to learn the first form of the Heavenly Sect before we get out of this forest."

Lee, momentarily stunned by his master's sudden demand, managed to sputter out, "Training? Master, are we not going to get the inheritance of the Leader of the Unorthodox Alliance?"

Thanos, unfazed by Lee's question, fixed his gaze on the myriad of stars that blanketed the night sky. His newly enhanced vision seemed to pick out every shimmering speck in the cosmos, a sensation akin to viewing the world in a higher resolution. The sight of the stars felt clearer, more vivid. If his vision was in HD before, it was now in 4K HD.

The Titan finally spoke, his gaze still fixated on the celestial bodies above. "He never said that we had to get the inheritance ourselves." The insinuation behind his words dawned upon Lee, causing his eyes to widen with realization.

"You mean...," Lee trailed off, the implication of his master's words sinking in.

Thanos, his smirk turning into a full-blown grin, completed Lee's sentence. "I have loyal soldiers who can do it for me."

Thanos's gaze then shifted back to Lee, his eyes gleaming with renewed determination. "Let's continue," he commanded. With newfound determination, Lee agreed, eager to further his training under the tutelage of his mighty master. "Yes, Master!" He exclaimed, venturing deeper into the forest to engage more wild beasts, keen on honing his combat skills.

Far removed from the verdant expanse where Thanos and Lee were, another forest trembled under a different kind of threat. The once peaceful woodland was now filled with echoes of a primal fear. It was a fear as ancient as life itself, one that drove the creatures of the forest into a state of frenzy.

The animals fled in a stampede, not in search of food or shelter, but in a desperate bid to escape the terror that had encroached upon their territory. The cause of this mass panic was an army of odd-looking creatures, bearing a closer resemblance to bugs than any animal found in nature.

These creatures bore strange, alien features, their bodies covered in a slick, black carapace that shimmered under the moonlight. They bore no resemblance to the peaceful fauna of the forest, their mere presence an anomaly in the otherwise serene woodland.

But these bugs were not ordinary creatures. They were invaders, tasked with a mission. The sight of the forest animals running from them only invigorated them further, fuelling their bloodlust. They killed indiscriminately, feasting on the carcasses of their victims and, in a grotesque display of their life cycle, used their remains as incubators to birth more of their kind.

They were agents of destruction, living weapons programmed with a singular task. Their orders had been received, and they intended to follow it to the letter. As the forest descended into chaos, the bug-like invaders revelled in the massacre, their grotesque mission taking a terrifying leap into action.
