Chapter 84 - Plans involving Biomedicine

The way Prime reacted upon hearing Bruce's words was one of complete surprise. Sure, Prime was aware that his ability to create symbiotes was exceptional, perhaps even limitless. However, he had never considered this possibility in this way before. Therefore, Bruce's thoughts truly caught him off guard, as they seemed plausible from Prime's perspective.

"You never considered this before?" Bruce asked, arching an eyebrow upon noticing Prime's surprised expression.

While Bruce didn't believe Prime was the type to actually try to take over Earth, that didn't change the fact that the possibility was present. Bruce himself wasn't someone who would want to hurt people, but ultimately, he had no control over the Hulk; all he could do was regret after the destruction had already occurred.

"I admit I never considered it... at least not in this way" Prime replied seriously. "I understand how dangerous symbiotes can be. After all, I am one of them. But I never saw myself as a threat. Of course, I recognize that other symbiotes, derived from me, could pose a danger" Prime concluded, letting out a brief sigh.

Upon hearing Prime's words, Bruce managed to understand him to a certain extent. Even though he didn't initially see himself as dangerous, it was only when he first saw what he was truly capable of that he realized the truth. In the end, even if the monster wasn't Bruce, they were still connected, one in two. With this thought, Bruce got up and placed his hand on Prime's shoulder.

"I know how you feel, but I'm sure you don't need to worry too much about it, as long as you don't create symbiotes en masse. You don't lose control in the same way I do, so you won't harm people against your will" Bruce said. Shortly after, he headed to the apartment's exit.

Of course, Prime recognized that Bruce was right, at least until Prime found himself in the same situation he was in at the Xavier Mansion. Even then, Prime wasn't entirely sure what that was; he only vaguely knew that, instead of a loss of control, it was something intrinsic to him.

"Anyway, I'll take care of some pending matters I have out there. At the moment, there's not much we can do, even if we know the identity of the big red guy on television. Unless you want to turn the military into your enemy" Bruce remarked.

"I thought they already were" Prime replied with a laugh.

After that, Bruce left the place, leaving only Prime and Sara. Although Prime was still worried about the possibility of being attacked at any moment, as warned by Bruce earlier, unless he wanted to become an enemy of the army, there wasn't much he could do.

Additionally, Prime had other issues to deal with. Although he was currently focused on investing to increase his money, he didn't plan to follow this strategy forever. Prime recognized that, to gain more financial resources, he would need to establish his own company. Furthermore, he already had his golden goose.

(But even if I want to do that, it's easier said than done...) Prime commented to himself, sighing.

(What are you talking about?) Sara asked mentally.

Prime was briefly surprised by this, as he had forgotten for a moment that he and Sara could communicate telepathically. Of course, he would normally keep this ability turned off, but with all the recent chaos, even that became challenging for Prime.

(It's nothing, just thinking about work) Prime replied simply and directly.

(Hmmm... what exactly are you thinking about?) Sara asked in a monotone tone.

Although Prime found Sara's question strange, as she usually didn't show interest in his work, in the end, he had no reason not to answer it.

(I was thinking about opening a biomedicine-focused company. You know, I can cure practically any disease or injury. If I could reproduce that without needing a host and without side effects, we'd probably make a lot more money than we do now) Prime replied, smiling at his idea.

Prime had been toying with this idea for some time, but despite considering it, he lacked the necessary financial resources. Thus, it remained merely something for Prime to remember and consider in the future.

"Is this really a good idea? What if it goes wrong? Instead of curing, we might just be creating more symbiotes, this time without our supervision" Sara commented with a serious tone.

Of course, these possibilities had crossed Prime's mind before. In the end, he couldn't think of a solution if the problem arose. This led him to conclude that he would need to conduct enough tests to ensure it never happened.

"You don't need to worry about that. I'll figure something out if something like that really happens" Prime replied, listening to a sigh from Sara shortly after.

"I honestly want to know where you get so much confidence from" Sara said, while Prime just smiled.

After that, Prime's plan continued for a few days. During this period, nothing relevant happened: Sara and Annie had not yet awakened their symbiotes, and the Red Hulk had made no new appearances. Bruce occasionally visited Prime to discuss Ross, but these conversations usually ended in a stalemate, with neither of them reaching a solution.

On the other hand, Prime, despite not solving the Red Hulk problem, continued to accumulate more wealth with his ventures as time went on. Prime could already consider himself one of the wealthiest people in New York, behind only a few.

Anyway, Prime finally felt it was time to start his plan in the field of Biomedicine. Naturally, as usual, extensive bureaucracy awaited him, but he was willing to face it, considering it a small price to pay if his plans came to fruition. All that was left for Prime to move forward with his plans was to wait for his experiments to run as predicted.

During work periods, Prime also spent time pondering the direction his biomedicine research should take. Initially, he decided to disguise the fact that the medications produced by his company were symbiotes, marketing them as conventional medicines.

Overall, the medications would have a symbiotic content equivalent to the amount needed to treat the specific symptom the sick person was facing, such as a headache, for example. Prime understood that treating something as trivial as a headache wouldn't require much effort, but the situation was completely different in the case of serious illnesses like cancer.

Although Prime was almost certain he could develop a cure for the disease, he was still unsure how much effort would be needed to achieve this goal. So, for now, he decided to focus all his experiments on less complex and easier-to-treat diseases. His medications would be almost identical to existing ones, with the crucial difference of providing a cure in a matter of minutes or even seconds.

So far, the only difficulty Prime faces is the simple fact that any symbiote he wants to create for the job, along with the cure, would likely completely take control of the host. Prime had no solid or basic idea to solve this dilemma yet.

"Haven't found any solution yet?" Sara asked as she entered the room with a drink in hand.

Upon hearing Sara's words, Prime only nodded, still immersed in his own thoughts.

"Why don't you just program them to disappear after completing their function, instead of trying to make them leave the host's body?" Sara asked, raising an eyebrow.

Upon hearing Sara's words, Prime let out a tired sigh.

"Sara, if it were that simple, I..."

However, before he could finish his words, Prime was surprised with himself as he briefly considered Sara's idea. Seeing it as a viable possibility, or rather, Prime believed he could make it viable.
