Cosmic Chaos

In an orbiting space station, the future Fantastic Four and the egotistic Victor Von Doom are going about their business.

Ben Grimm, who will be known as The Thing, is suiting up to go set up the plants that will undergo the baptism of the cosmic storm, unaware that his whole team is going to be affected too.

He jumps into the zero-gravity space with the plants in a reinforced glass case.

Meanwhile, Reed Richards is alerted by the onboard computer that tells him the storm is arriving several hours ahead of schedule.

After that he interrupts Doom's carefully laid plan on proposing to Sue Storm.

While all of this is going on, Zod is hovering in space a kilometer away from the space station watching as everyone freaks out and tries to pull Ben back in.

The storm, which lights up the dark surroundings, is closing in on the space station quickly.

Zod had planned on meeting the storm several hours ahead of when it hits the space station, however the storm didn't follow a set path. Rather than waste his brain power on finding the pattern of its flight he decided to just let it blast him when it passes through the space station.

In the movie, Reed said that the cosmic energy is fatal, however they survived and they were just baseline humans. Zod is Kryptonian and he has no idea what effect the storm will have on his body.

He is mainly relying on the fact that his body should be sturdy enough and the Gene Codex is bolstering his DNA.

Zod saw that the cosmic storm was about to hit the station and flew towards it at a speed he had never achieved before due to the lack of wind and gravity.

Ben Grimm had just entered the hatch of the station as Zod zoomed past the station while undergoing the assault of the cosmic energy.

Every cell in his body felt alive as his body's power began to skyrocket while a mysterious feeling emerged from him.

He felt like he could manipulate the base atoms and molecules in a 10 meter radius. He could change and shape matter around him with just a thought. Even beyond that he could reshape the world in that radius.

'Reality warping?' Zod looked around him as the storm passed through him and he saw through his x-ray vision the Fantastic Four and Victor being inundated by the energy.

After the storm passed, Zod looked at the moon and then the sun before coming up with an idea that could either be called crazy or ingenious.

The feeling of reality warping was natural like walking as Zod used his 10 meter radius of warping to create a core with nuclear fusion inside the armor on the front of his chest. He uses his reality warping to create a zone of darkness around the core so it wouldn't blind people.

Under his powers, his armor wraps around the core while the nuclear fusion gives off the same radiation as the sun, essentially making his need of the sun in Earth's solar system non-existent.

All the dangers of nuclear fusion are nullified by his field of reality warping that surrounds him. While that stress of keeping it up would be terrifying for other reality warpers, Zod's Kryptonian physique makes it a match made in heaven.

This was possible because all of the information on nuclear fusion and its applications was known on Krypton. Most reality warpers used their imagination to dictate the results, however Zod believes that relying on knowledge and less imagination will give less room for errors.

Zod once again looked at the moon and accelerated faster and faster until he finally arrived 30 minutes later.

That's over 200km per second. He could go around the Earth for one rotation in 3 minutes now.

As he arrived at the moon, he went around to the dark side before landing on the surface. He lifted his foot and stomped on the ground with all his strength.

The surface of the moon around where he stomped was silent before a ripple spread out in a wave around him followed by great ravines and furrows tens of meters deep.

It took almost 30 minutes for the dust to fall because of the moon's low gravity.

The scenery around him looked like an apocalypse ravaged the landscape. The affected radius was almost 5 kilometers long.

Zod looked at his foot in horrid fascination as he imagined what kind of terrible destruction it would create if someone with his strength decided to unleash an attack like this in a city.

Millions would die almost instantly, ripped to shreds by the impact of the earth or the rubble, while others would perish from getting buried alive.

He spent another hour testing his new strength and realized that all of his abilities got an upgrade.

While he was on the moon, he flew, orbiting it with his x-ray vision as he saw the Inhumans city hidden behind the technological illusion.

Deciding not to interfere with them yet he returned to the Earth. His re-entry alarmed several nations, yet Zod didn't care in the least bit.

After throwing off the nations' technological tracking, he touched down on the site where the Fantastic Four was getting physical checkups by several doctors.

The survivors were currently not showing any effects from the storms but Zod knew it was only a matter of time before it happened.

The eventual face-off he will watch but currently he is going to secure his future cash-flow.

At a Salvage Yard in South Africa.

Ulysses Klaue was staring at his vibranium, imagining the profits he'd make this time. He's well-connected and knows several buyers that will buy the metal at an exorbitant price.

The only problem is keeping it away from Wakanda's eyes and ears when he trades them. Their war-dogs are infamous when it comes to their power at gathering intelligence on arms-deals.

As he's imagining the piles and piles of dollar bills he will be swimming in, the roof behind him caves in as the thick metal ceiling screeches.

Klaue turns around while drawing his pistol to shoot at whatever threat is behind him.

Zod watches as several bullets exit the barrel of Klaue's weapon, one of them about to hit him in the eye.

Time seems to slow down as Zod blinks his eye closed right as the bullet is about hit his iris.

Klaue's mouth opens slightly as he sees Zod open his eye while the bullet that is now slightly squished in the back and smooth in the front from the eyelid, drops on the ground.

"Holy shit, that was fucking epic! You could have come through the door, of course, but this old hunk of junk isn't going to be looking any better anyways. So, what can I do for ya, need some weapons to go with your armor?"

Klaue asks with a toothy smile.

Zod's slightly surprised at his nonchalant attitude, although it should be expected since he was calm when Ultron busted through the wall in the movie.

"How about a partnership?" Zod smiled slightly.

"Now what kind of partnership would we be talking about? I'm not into guys by the way."

Zod's eye twitches a little bit,

"I can get you vibranium without you having to risk you and your men's lives, I just want a percentage of the profits from the sales."

Klaue rubs his stubbled chin as he ponders a bit before replying,

"So I'll take 70% you take 30%? I mean, I'm the one with the connections, even if you had the vibranium you don't know who to sell it to. Can't sell it yourself to the governments without the right names or else they will declare you top of the wanted list."

His greedy smile lasted for all of two seconds until Zod blasted a hole into the side of the ship with his heat vision, then grabbed Klaue and tossed him to the sandy ground outside. Luckily they were near the bottom of the ships cargo hold otherwise he would have broken some bones.

Ulysses struggles to get up and coughs a few times before squeezing out,

"Okay hold up a second, I can take it down to 60/40 considering you would make a great partner with your strength and all…"

His voice drops off as Zod leaps to a nearby ship that is marooned on the beach like the one they busted out of.

Zod then reaches under part of the tanker and covers the hull surrounding him in his bio-field, allowing him to then pick up the whole ship and rising to the sky.

He lets go of the ship before instantly flying to the front and grabbing the nose of the 300 meter cargo ship, his hands digging into the thick metal hull.

The next second he spins like a discus thrower and launches the ship into the ocean several miles away, causing a wave that is as high as a several floor apartment building to rise.

Zod then hovers over to Klaue and says,

"You 20, me 80. Deal?"

Klaue's gulp could be heard over the ocean's waves crashing onto the beach.
