Chapter 5- Problem at Home

Bruce is adapting to the University lifestyle. He has no time to enjoy student life. All he can do right now is complete his studies and complete all personal projects. He is taking Triple Majors in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. All is a necessity for his plans. As for Computer Science, he already has a deep grasp of that subject.

His 1st plan is already in motion. Making an Artificial Intelligence. He had already made one previously. This time it will be easier. But previously it took less time because there was much open-source code. Now he has to write them by himself. On the plus side, security will be even higher.

His 2nd plan is to remake the fabric of his cape. It was first made by Lucius Fox. He knows how it works. But it will take time to remake that kind of fabric. His cape is one of a kind. It is fireproof, bulletproof. And most of all, it will help him glide. At first, it only helped him glide. But later upgrades made the fabric more helpful in his crusade. when it is bulletproof, he can even make his Batsuit using the same material.

For his 3rd project, he wants to recreate the super batteries. Which will recharge many times fast and hold a charge for much longer.

For all of these to be possible he will need a technology that can use Graphite as raw material and get Graphene. This super material is harder than diamond yet flexible, superconductive. It is even able to generate electricity by exposure to sunlight. This material is perfect for most of his problems.

The problem is right now it is highly costly to extract Graphene from Graphite. All he can do now is make use of his few future knowledge of this machine and make use of it. And this machine will make his company grow faster than any other way possible.

It has been 1.5 years since he started his university life. Today is a really important day for him and his company. His 1st patent result came out.

Carbon-based Two-Dimensional Hybrid Nano Layer Graphene Generator.

This machine will not be commercialized. It is for Wayne Enterprise's use only. But the product produced from this machine will be groundbreaking.

The company can start producing Graphene within 6 months. And after another 6 months company can start selling its first batch of Graphene-ion Batteries. These batteries can work even in extreme conditions. From -160° C to +200° C, these batteries will work without any problem. Even after crossing that limit, It will not destroy itself. It will just shut down permanently.

This kind of battery is not for daily use. Its cost is high. 3 times the normal Lithium-ion Batteries. But it is more than 10 times efficient.

Wayne Enterprise will be divided into Wayne Medical, Wayne Electronics, and Wayne Automobiles for now. But there will be more branches in the future.

Another year passed. Wayne Enterprise is now one of the top money-making companies in the world. Its annual revenue recently crossed $10 Billion. Products that Wayne Enterprise selling to the public, for now, are Medicines, Electric Cars and High Powered Batteries. As for other various industries, he is providing them with Industry Grade Batteries & Chipsets made using Graphene instead of Silicon. This company now can be compared with Stark Industries & OSCORP Industries again.

His AI is in the prototype stage. It can follow all the basic commands. No advanced hacking or security can be done by this AI for now.

The special fabric is also already created. But the making of Batsuit will take time. Even if the suit is bulletproof, he will still take blunt damage. So he needs some material that can save him from the blunt damage. Also, there should be some exoskeleton protection from the suit, for his joints.

This is when a piece of bad news reached him. Katie has been kidnapped. He took a leave from the university. But he had already decided that if the university did not give him any leave, he will sneak out.

When he reached Wayne Manor the first thing he did was go to Batcave. He uploaded the AI in the Bat-Computer. He asked Alfred to meet in the Batcave.

The kidnappers are a terrorist syndicate that was working inside the country as sleeping agents. They demand that Wayne Enterprise must release the blueprint of the Graphene Generator in a secured server. He has 24 hours. FBI already got the location of the terrorist, but even with full 3 teams of SWAT, they cannot enter the building. It is like a fortress. There is no weak point for them to exploit.

Bruce decided after sunset he will take action. When he came upstairs he was informed two FBI agents want to meet with him. There was sitting a red-haired beautiful woman in the meeting room & a middle-aged man with a big forehead.

When Bruce entered the room, they both stood up. Their vigilance is very carefully hidden. This is how someone would act when they are in enemy territory. But since this is not enemy territory, there could be only another possibility, they are highly trained agents. Not something like the FBI, more like special agents.

Bruce extended his hand and said- "Thank you for coming here officers."

The man took his hand. After the handshake, he introduced themselves.

-"No problem Mr. Wayne. I am Phillip Jones. And this is my partner…"

-"Natalia Shostakova." The woman finished his partner's words.

Bruce- "Please tell me why the army still has not taken any action?"

Phillip- "They believe that this is not some terrorist activity. The FBI also thinks the same. The chance of them being terrorists is less than 2%."

Bruce- "But not 0%. My sister's life is in danger. Two of the bodyguards that I have arranged were among the kidnappers. So what has the FBI decided to do?"

Natalia- "We want you to send the data to the server. We know that they are receiving instruction from somewhere within New York. When they receive and download the data, we will trace it to the leader."

Bruce- "Your plan is not bad, but there are two problems. Your plan does not include rescuing my sister and although the server is traceable there will not be enough time to trace it to the source. I have already checked."

Phillip- "They will release your sister after they got the data. Even if they don't, after catching the main culprit behind this kidnapping it will be easy to rescue your sister. And our equipment is more advanced than you could imagine. We can trace it."

Bruce did not believe them. He still has time to rescue his sister. But he also wants to get the mastermind behind. He needs a plan. Where he will cooperate with the FBI and also rescue his sister.
