Chapter 126: Rocket (Little Einsteins)

Ripping the robot in half, I tossed it to the sides and quickly ran towards Sara as I knelt down beside her and grabbed her hand; looking at her injuries, I couldn't help but curse myself. Thankfully, the robot didn't seriously damage any of her organs; the damage her organs sustained was something she could heal from on her own; however, it destroyed a vital artery, and if nothing were done soon, she'd die of blood loss.

"Dammit, Sara!" Yelled Tut angrily, though he was furious at himself rather than Sara, who couldn't help but wryly smile through the pain.

"S-Sorry, I-I should've listened, I-I just thought it would b-be okay now, s-since you s-seemed to be t-the captain o-of the spaceship. H-How, argh, bad is it; I-I'm not going t-to d-die, right?" Replied Sara softly while she looked up at Pharaoh before her voice started to tremble towards the end, the thought of dying terrifying her.

"No, it's my fault; I was too preoccupied with learning how to control this stupid ship, and no, you're not dying, though you're going to be in a hell of a lot of pain. A vital artery has been cut, so I'll need to close it; cauterizing it is the best and fastest method we currently have." Remarked Tut with a shake of his head as he bit his lip while looking at Sara before getting rid of the self-guilt and focusing on the problem at hand.

"C-Catuerize? Y-You're going to burn a h-hole r-right through me." Said Sara in confusion, only to gulp nervously when she saw Tut's eyes take on a reddish tint.

"No, I won't. I can control the temperature of my heat vision; now, you're probably going to hate me for this, but I can't have you dying." Stated Tut with a shake of his head as he grabbed Sara's arms and immobilized them over her head before placing his knee on her waist, stopping her from fidgeting so much.

"P-Please, b-be quick." Muttered Sara in fear while she looked at Tut, who nodded before firing precise beams of plasma from his eyes as he slowly cauterized her wound.

"ARGHHHHHHHH!!" Yelled Sara loudly as she slammed her head back while tears streamed down her face.

Hearing Sara scream in such pain was the exact opposite of music to my ears; I wanted to shut my hearing off, but I didn't; I kept them activated and focused on her agony-filled voice; this was my punishment for not paying attention. I wanted this to serve as a future reminder never to let my guard down; I didn't want ever to hear Sara, Mom, Jean, Gwen, Pete, or any one of my friends in such pain; it was almost torturous.

After not even a minute, I managed to cauterize her wound, so she was no longer in immediate danger, but she still needed to get checked upon by an actual doctor who had the necessary tools to treat her; this was merely a temporary fix.

"Sara, you good? You okay?" Questioned Tut in concern as he gently lifted Sara's head and rested her on his lap while she breathed heavily.

"I-I'm alive, i-is that g-good enough?" Replied Sara softly as she looked up at Tut, mentally drained from experiencing such pain.

"Haa, yes, that's good enough for right now." Muttered Tut with a soft smile as he tenderly held Sara's hand while she nodded before looking away.

"W-Well, I-I'm tired, so I-I think I'm going to sleep." Said Sara lightly as she closed her eyes, quickly drifting off to sleep while Tut sighed to himself.

Standing up with Sara in my arms, I looked at her wound before suddenly frowning as I watched her body repair itself, which should be no surprise; everyone's body does that; the problem was that her cells were doing it at an astonishing speed for a normal human, it was on the level of superhuman if I'm being honest. She wasn't healing anywhere nearly as fast as Mr. Howlett; it wasn't even noticeable by normal eyes, but I could see how her cells were quickly multiplying and repairing her injury.

'At this rate, Sara should heal from this wound just fine, which is good since now that she's healing at an abnormally fast rate, I'd prefer not to take her to the hospital; with all those mutant supremacists, she's definitely not safe there.' Thought Pharaoh with a slight frown as he looked at Sara before swiftly walking through the halls, arriving at the entrance to the ship within a second.

Exiting the ship, I didn't bother to conceal my presence anymore and speedily shot into the sky, heading towards her house, which I arrived at in less than a second; slowing down, I used the cover of night to lower myself onto the roof before entering through her window, which she always keeps unlocked, so I can sneakily enter and snuggle with her during the night. Staying quiet so as not to awaken Mr or Mrs. Grey, I gently sat on her bed and stripped her of most of her clothing; now that she wasn't in the Arctic, she'd quickly get hot.

Grabbing a notebook, I wrote a little note, telling her what happened before placing it on her nightstand and kissing her head; floating out the window, I flew high into the sky before flying back to the Arctic. Entering the spaceship, I swiftly arrived back at the command room, only to notice the robot I had ripped in half wasn't present anymore, though I didn't dwell on it for too long and sat back in the captain's seat.

"Welp, now that I know how to fly this thing at the cost of Sara getting injured, let's get this ship into the air. The last thing I want is humans getting access to Kryptonian technology; that'll just result in World War 3 or something far worse." Said Pharaoh lightly as he placed his hands back into the liquid metal desk, connecting his brain to the entirety of the ship.

It was a little difficult to control since it almost felt similar to gaining a new limb, and of course, controlling a new limb wasn't going to be easy, but I didn't need to do any delicate movements; I just needed it to get into the air.

"Alright, here goes nothing." Muttered Pharaoh as he took a deep breath and focused his mind, causing the thrusters, which haven't been used in over twenty thousand years, to suddenly roar to life.

"Still no sighting of the man who infiltrated the base, Agent Coulson." Said a shield agent respectfully as they ran up to Coulson, who nodded while sporting a frown.

"He might've already left, do a perimeter search of 200 meters and then re-" Stated Coulson as he looked at the agent, though before he could finish speaking, a loud boom was heard, followed by a large gust of wind and the ground trembling.

Looking to the left, it was only for a split second, but I saw a blur fly through the air; frowning, I stayed looking in the air for a solid twenty seconds, and just when I was about to look away, I saw it again, a blur flying right for the ship before disappearing.

"Agent, ignore my previous order, check westward of the spaceship, and prepare to engage with possible hostile. Mutant." Declared Coulson seriously as he eyed the agent, who nodded before grabbing his walkie-talkie and informing his crew.

Pulling my phone out, I called director Fury, yet while doing so, the ice beneath my feet suddenly started shaking intensely, and following that, the sound of ice breaking was heard as I looked at the spaceship, only to see blue light escape what we've long since presumed to be the thrusters. Although slowly, the alien spaceship broke itself free from the ice as it hovered in the air, before slowly lifting itself higher into the sky.

"How has the-" Asked Fury through the phone, though before he could finish, Coulson interrupted him.

"The spaceship is flying, Sir." Stated Coulson with a troubled expression as he watched the spaceship lift into the sky, flying directly over them before suddenly shooting off, disappearing into the darkness of night.

"The spaceship is flying? How? Who did it?" Asked Fury seriously with a hardened gaze as he turned around and looked out the window.

"I don't know; I saw a blur enter the spaceship, and the next thing I knew, it was emerging from the ice; also, it's gone now, Sir." Replied Coulson swiftly as he looked in the direction of where the spaceship flew off, while Fury stayed silent for a few seconds.

"It's gone?"

"Yes, Sir; it had just launched southward into the sky, accelerating at incredible speeds, far faster than anything I've ever seen move; we couldn't follow it even if we wished to, Sir." Said Coulson as he looked away and started walking, heading toward a specific tent occupied with scientists.

"Ugh, continue searching the ice for anything possibly left behind; return once everything is finished." Stated Fury with a grunt of annoyance as he turned back around, slamming his phone down before pressing a button on it, prompting Maria Hill to enter his room several seconds later.

"Send a reconnaissance group southward of sight, K; the spaceship has just flown away." Added Furry with a scowl as he glanced at Maria, who didn't say anything and just nodded before turning around and leaving his office.

"Haa, now, how am I going to explain this to the council?" Muttered Fury with furrowed brows as he repeatedly tapped his finger on his desk.

Mhm, I know Sara is in fucking pain, although, guess what? Now that she knows the possible consequences of ignoring Tut's words, I doubt she'll ever do that again.
