Ch 67: Meng Ge & Talk

The demon looked on with interest and caution, while Yang Kai went wide-eyed at first but calmed down when he saw it was him who appeared. "So you finished your retreat?", he asked Yang Feng in a calm tone.

"Yeah, just left a day ago." Yang Feng too replied in a calm tone, but kept his eyes on the last evil cultivator, who looked like a crooked old man. That Evil Cultivator's face changed into a grimace and he tried to find a way to escape.

"Senior, please forgive me for the offense I didn't know that the young man was with you ...", the old crooked man began, probing for a way to live. But Yang Feng was uninterested in his talk and all so he took a step further and appeared in front of that cultivator and grabbed ahold his face.

"Shut up, you think I didn't see you trying to escape. Unfortunately for you I'm not in an amused mood right now, so I'll end you quickly." With each word spoken, Yang Feng's grip on his face tightened and no matter what the old cultivator did, he couldn't escape.

The next second, Yang Feng pull upwards and simply severed the old cultivator's head and spine from his body, Instantly killing him. Just when he did that, he felt a punch coming his way, Yang Feng unconcerned, simply raised his had and blocked the punch.

"Hmm... So you couldn't stay still now? Well, considering how I killed him you would be cautious.", Yang Feng addressed the attacker who was the demon person.

"Human, you sure have a strong body, but your nothing but an ant to me, so why would I be cautious.", said the demon person, who retracted his hand and backed away a little.

"Oh, yes ... How could you, the demon general Meng Ge, from the demon race of Tong Xuan Realm, a 3rd order saint realm cultivator, would be cautious of little ol' me.", Hearing this Meng Ge's eyes shot open as he looked at him seriously. If it was any other time someone was talking to him about his identity it would have been normal, but right now he was in a small world where no one should know of him. But this human knew of him, meaning he has some connection to the Tong Xuan Realm.

'Who is this guy. He doesn't match any one of the human race geniuses... Could he be a desciple of a major force that was hidden from the other races?', Meng Ge thought as he continued to look at Yang Feng.

Yang Feng growing impatient said," well, it doesn't matter, if you were really here, I would have taken you serious, but your just a clone so ... Let's finish you of.", after speaking Yang Feng in a burst of speed appeared in front of the demon and attacked with his fist.

Meng Ge instantly became on guard as he heard Yang Feng say about his knowledge of him being a clone. This confirmed it, this human was not an ordinary person.

But before he could react, the human appeared in front of his and attacked him with his fist. Already aware of this human's unusually powerful body, Meng Ge didn't hold back as his current soul clone only had the strength of a peak immortal ascension realm, considering he just came to this world, it was already a great amount of strength he had at the start, but to increase it more, he has to cultivate with this body.

As the punch landed, Meng Ge was pushed back two steps, but held his ground. This surprised Yang Feng a little, "You have a strong body." Yang Feng said and continued his mussing, "It could be that your type of demon are born with powerful bodies... It doesn't really matter though as your still going down."

In the last punch Yang Feng didn't even use his full body strength, not to mention his Qi. After speaking, He started to punch Meng Ge around with just his body strength. After fighting for a few minutes, Yang Feng didn't see a need to delay anymore, so he mobilized his Qi and punched out by appearing right in front of him.

The next second a golden dragon phantom enveloped Meng Ge's form. When the phantom faded, what was left was a badly injured Meng Ge whose body looked to be breaking apart. He looked at Yang Feng with malace and spoke.

"Pray that you don't meet me in the future Human, otherwise your end wouldn't be pretty.", with that Meng Ge's body completely faded.

Ignoring the threat, Yang Feng turned towards three life sources that approached him from the side. Yang Feng saw Yang Kai along with two young women who looked like twins coming towards him. The 'twins' were naturally Hu Mie'er and Hu Jiao'er.

"You knew the guy.", Yang Kai asked him after they reached him, having watched the entire scene he had heard when Yang Feng talked to Meng Ge about his background.

"Nah!, just heard of him from someone else.", he then looked towards the Hu sisters and said," well hello there!, I think this is our first time meeting since the inheritance cave right Miss Jiao'er...", he then said with a mischievous gleam in his eyes, "or should I call you sister-in-law?"

Hu Jiao'er who was about to respond to his greeting, suddenly blushed as she heard him call her Sister-in-law, causing her sister to giggle a little with a blush on her cheeks as this would apply to her as well, considering that Yang Kai was her Man as well.

"*Cough* that won't be necessary and yes it is our first time meeting since the inheritance cave...", she said with a light cough, and looked at him. He was once a competition for her, but now he had grown so strong in such a short time, "you've grown alot stronger.", she said with a melancholic expression on her face.

Yang Feng just smiled. The two had naturally known each other from the sect. She was the only one from the Three Faction's (excluding the High Heaven Pavilion) younger generation who continuously challenged him and grew in strength. The two could even be considered friends, and rivals for Hu Jiao'er till now, but it was just that friends, the two never wanted nor seeked anything more.

"Anyways, we should go out now. Those people looked a bit worried for you back then.", hearing this the other three nodded and they started leaving.

Looking at the three talking and flirting with each other as they went out, Yang Feng started to miss Su Yan and Xia Ning Chang. He sighed lightly and felt Su Yan's presence through their connection.

'looks like they found that place and settled down', he felt that Su Yan's presence had stayed at a place and the emotions he felt from her were calm and serene, meaning that she was cultivating.

As they exited the cavern, they were greeted by the group that Yang Feng had previously spoken to. He saw how they asked Yang Kai how he was and thanked him for saving their lives inside the cave.

When Yang Kai told them about Yang Feng and how he killed the others, they looked at him as if looking at a monster. A 17-18 year old person with a cultivation of Peak Immortal Ascension Realm and being capable of killing High Ranking Immortal Ascension Realm cultivators with ease, this was a first time for them of hearing about someone like him.

After that everyone started to recover their Qi with Yang Feng sitting down near them. As they all finished in an hour, they all greeted each other and left separately, leaving behind Yang Feng, Yang Kai and the Hu sisters.

As they were flying towards the Blood Battle Gang's barrack, Yang Feng was thinking to himself if he should go there or not. Ultimately, he decided that it would be a waste of his time to go there, but as it was on the way of his next destination, he decided to accompany the three for sometime.

For the next two days, they continued to fly while taking small breaks for the other three to recover, well mostly the Hu sisters. Their journey was smooth as no one dared to approach them because of Yang Feng and if someone did they would be killed by him in a second.

When they had crossed more than a third/fourth of the distance Yang Feng decided to leave. "Yang Kai, I will be leaving for the Medicine King Valley as I have something to do there. You should go on ... and try not to get into too much trouble.", Yang Feng said and ended with a teasing but serious tone.

Yang Kai nodded and smiled warily at the jab, "You know that I don't like trouble as well, but it keeps on coming to me *Sigh*."

After bidding them farewell, Yang Feng flew towards the Medicine King Valley at five times their previous speed. In just a few hours, he reached the Valley Town. He didn't stop there and directly flew towards the Valley where Xiao Fu Sheng lived.

When he reached the Valley, he flared his aura to let the others know about his arrival. Within minutes, everyone appeared in front of him. Looking at the familiar and friendly faces of Xiao Fu Sheng, Dong Qing Yan and the two aunts, along with the uncharacteristicly friendly smile from Meng Wu Ya, Yang Feng smiled as he greeted them.

He then looked at the shy, joyous and eager look of Xia Ning Chang and pulled her in a hug, which she returned happily. After talking with everyone and informing them about the current situation outside, he turned towards Meng Wu Ya with a serious look, "I need your help with something."

Looking at his serious expression and the surprising request, Meng Wu Ya immediately took him to his allocated room. Once the two were sitting in his room, he asked him," so what is it that would warrent your request?"

Yang Feng didn't hold back and addressed the matter because of which he came here. "I want to ask a few questions about cultivation. There's something that I need to ask about Transcendent Realm that I have not been able to grasp."

Hearing the reason, Meng Wu Ya grew serious as this conversation regarded Yang Feng's cultivation and conveyed Yang Feng's trust in him. As he listened to Yang Feng talk about his knowledge and findings about the Transcendent Realm, which was quite thorough, he grew impressed and could tell just where the problem was.

"Hmm. I think the only thing you don't quite understand what 'Transcendent' really means, Brat.", he said as he sipped on his tea and looked Yang Feng in the eyes. He then continued.

"The realms below Transendant Realm are what you would consider foundation realms, or you can say they are the transformation realms that elevate a powerless mortal's power and lifeform into something higher. But even at Immortal Ascension Realm ... a person remains just that, a mortal. The process of breaking through to the Transendant Realm is the process of breaking through that mortality, becoming something more, something higher than a mortal, a Transcendant."

"A Transcendent's physique is of course something higher and greater than that of a mortal. You can say that their essence is more powerful than mortals, till the Immortal Ascension Realm your essence remains the same in nature and just gets stronger, but from Transcendent Realm it's nature starts to change, to evolve. Which also makes them more resistant to the attacks from lower ranks..."

Yang Feng listened with rept attention. As he listened, he realized something. His thoughts about the Transcendent Realm was something simple, like just braking through a normal realm and also realized again that his knowledge from the novels had limited him vision of certain things that he hasn't changed till now, the Realm Distribution being one of them. In the Novel, the realms weren't that explained till the Origin Returning Realm. So he just thought that he just as to breakthrough with some accumulation, but now he knew that wasn't the truth.
