High school nightmare

Calla Miller woke up as a result of the morning light that shone from the opening left by the heavy lined curtains.

She felt reluctant to get up from the bed, but she had to, because today was her wedding. The fact that she was going to get Davis Williams was both bad news and good news for her, the bad news is, he was her high school nightmare, while the good news is that marrying him would give her an opportunity to get revenge for everything he had done to her while in high school.

She smiled at the thought of getting her revenge on him, she would definitely make him pay, he had caused her nothing but pain, and it was her turn to pay him back.

She was also grateful to him for all the pain he caused her in high school, because that was what made her who she was today, a strong independent woman who wouldn't hold back to destroy anyone who caused her troubles.

Anyone who knew her back in high school would be surprised to see her now, she wasn't that fragile little girl that Davis usually bullied while in high school anymore. Now, she had an athletic body, fierce and alert eyes and a cold aura that made those around her want to obey her commands unlike her high school self.

A knock on her door interrupted her thoughts, before she was asked to come in, Stacey Washington rushed into the room holding a wedding dress in her arms with a wide smile on her face, but her smiling slowly faded away when she saw her boss and best friend hadn't even taken a shower yet and it was almost time for the makeup artist to come do her magic on her.

"Oh my goodness, Calla, you haven't done anything yet, you're just sitting there with a mysterious smile on your face? The makeup artist is outside already. Now, come on and rush to the bathroom."

When they weren't at work, their relationship was like that of best friends, but immediately they got to work, Stacey couldn't address Calla in such an informal manner because that would get her punished.

Calla didn't even move an inch from where she was sitting, it was as if she hadn't heard anything Stacey had said.

Stacey knew if she didn't persuade this her stubborn friend, then, there might not be a wedding today. So, she said, "if you delay the wedding, then, Davis might think you are thinking of chickening out."

Calla's eyes turned cold as she heard what Stacey just said, she hated Davis, and she couldn't stand the thought of him thinking she was a coward like her former self, so she stood up and went to the bathroom.

Better to get this over with.

The other girl smiled, she knew Calla too well, they have been since forever, and she knew how much she hated her soon-to-be husband. Using him to convince her to take her bath was the best idea.

She carefully placed the wedding dress on the bed and went out to call the makeup artist in.

Looking at herself in the mirror, she could smile at the makeup artist with gratitude. The makeup wasn't too much, and it wasn't too light, it was just the right amount her face needed.

At 22, Calla's body was the definition of perfection, long red hair, beautiful blue eyes that caught everyone's attention, slender figure and sexy long legs.

Now in her white wedding dress that was decorated with sparkling diamonds and a diamond necklace around her neck, her beauty radiated even more, no one who saw her would be able to take their eyes off her, including Davis.

"All done." The makeup artist said proudly. She was happy with what she had done.

"You were made for my dress." The designer said happily.

"Calla, baby, you look gorgeous, you are definitely the most gorgeous woman in the world." Stacey praised her best friend happily.

Calla smiled sweetly at them all, "thanks ladies, am glad you all think am beautiful."

Anyone who saw her smile right now would think she smiled always but meanwhile, she only smiled when she wasn't at work or talking about business.

A knock sounded at the door, and a tall beautiful woman walked into the room, she was already in her late forties but looking at her, one would think she was in her late twenties. The resemblance between the girl in the wedding dress and the woman who walked in would tell anyone about their relationship.

"Mom." Calla said excitedly, she was happy her mother was here.

"Calla darling, you look gorgeous like I did on my wedding." She smiled broadly as she remembered her own wedding.

"Yeah, but you loved the man you were going to marry, unlike me." Calla held the words back before they could come out.

Her parents had arranged a marriage between her and Davis, when she traveled to England for a one-year business trip only to come back to be getting married to a man she hates the most, without being told why.
