Hide and seek

Chloe's face blanched white when four men stepped out from each of the cars, making them eight in number. She hid behind Blaze's back . For the eight men to circle them

" Long time no see Blaze Reigns," came the one with a husky voice whose cheeks had a large scary scar that trailed from from his left eye down to his lips,from his voice one can tell easily he's the leader of the gang.

" How long has it been, two days? It seems you guys miss me a lot to be chasing me round the whole world, scorpion " Blaze replied nonchalantly , his face squeezed with a frown when he felt someone pulling his skin so rough as if she wants to separate his skin from his body

Chloe's face turned darker when she heard Blaze's sarcastic comments, she couldn't help but pinch him really hard on his arms while hiding behind his back . As if to remind him they were outnumbered and it's not the right time to be cracking jokes.

Scorpion chuckled lightly " we can't help it Blaze,we have our orders to bring you in. Unfortunately you escaped from us , but it's seems like lady luck is on our side to bring you in alongside this beautiful lady beside you"

" Unfortunately scorpion, she's not up for grab"

Chloe pinched him harder when the scorpion mentioned taking her along , as if to tell him she is not getting involved in their conflict.

Blaze's face contoured in pain ,but he didn't allow it to show on his face for long .

" Let the lady go she has nothing to do with this in the first place you are free to take me but not her"

" How am I sure she won't call the police once she steps out from here,am not that dumb Blaze "

Scorpion said and laughed skeletally.

Blaze turned around to face Chloe "if I count to five you run and hide behind our car ,make sure to call the police while you are at it" he said with all manner of seriousness. Chloe nodded and waited for his signal.

From where she was hiding she could hear the groans , and the shouts of those men along with some bone cracking , she hid very well to avoid drawing attention to herself.

Chloe fumbled with her phone to get a call across to the police, ' get it together Chloe, now is not the time to be clumsy' she scolded herself . Yet she couldn't get it together, her throat dried when she saw one of those men approach her with a stick in hand smiling evilly at her.

She managed to stand up disregarding her wobbling feet holding her friend's car for support : ' is it my turn to die , Rose it seems am joining you sooner than expected" she cried inwardly , raising her hands to signify she was harmless

The bunky man with a half ear approached her , held her hands and twisted it behind her, and brought a sharp knife to her throat as if to tell her if she misbehaves the knife will pass through her throat.

" Look what I found Blaze " twisting the left side of his mouth into a sneer called out to Blaze who was punching their leader on his now badly bruised face.

Blaze hissed and turned to face the bunky guy who was holding Chloe hostage , " didn't you play hide and seek when you were little"? He scolded Chloe

" What do you mean I did, as a matter of fact I played it in high school" she retorted displeased with him for blaming him for her capture when she was busy trying to call the police.

" If you did ,how come he caught you so quickly before I take out the other guys " he bellowed and threw the stick he was holding at the other guy that was trying to stand up .

" How is it my fault he found me so early , maybe you didn't hit him enough " she shouted back not minding the sharp knife that was held at her throat

The man with a half ear was confused with their bickering; he didn't understand what was going on. He was the one holding the hostage; they should compromise and summit, not bicker at each other.

" Enough! I should be talking here, not you" he sneered and brought the tip of the knife closer to Chloe's neck, slicing her skin a little for blood to streak down her neck . She whimpered in pain.

Blaze saw the situation and raised his hands in defeat , they half ear laughed warily , but his laughter was cut short when police siren was heard from behind them .

Shit ! He threw Chloe away and scampered away for his safety , Chloe who sprained her wrist after being thrown away forcefully hissed in pain . She rubbed her butt that connected with the hard surface of the tiled road.

It happened that the police was passing by that area not because she called, she knew the call couldn't go through before the half ear took her hostage. She heard the sound of cars and raised her head to see those guys have drove away after seeing the police car.
