Ch. 65 - The Great Pretender is back in the world of Frozen!

However, just when Leo was tempted to step in as soon as possible, his feet stopped a few inches away from the golden portal.

"Right, I need some good reason for my sudden disappearance. I'll postpone for just a while." Willing the portal to be closed, Leo watched in amazement as the portal did as he willed.

Shortly after that, Leo looked outside and saw that the moon is still high up in the sky.

"They should still be awake at this time." Muttering under his breath, Leo expanded his senses around the house and true to his words, he sensed Kha'an walking around the hut, tending to the garden while Ann was nowhere to be found.

'I wonder where she is.' Pondering this to himself, Leo walked out and approached the unsuspecting back of the black panther chief.

"Ehem."

"W-What?! Oh, it's just you my Lord, is there anything I can do to help you?" Standing up while patting his dirty hands, Kha'an's eyes smiled as he stared at him.

'Why do you sound like a Skyrim NPC when interacted?'

"Nothing much. I was just curious where Ann is?"

"Oh Ann? Well, as our best warrior and the only black panther who awakened innate chi, she holds a very heavy responsibility in our village. She's outside our borders, rotating around our village, making sure no one discovers our village." Hearing his explanation, Leo was surprised. No wonder Ann's life presence seems to be livelier than normal, it turns out, she has awakened an innate ability of chi.

"Really? That's interesting." As a Kung Fu practitioner, Leo is quite interested in the concept of Chi, especially remembering the fight scenes on Kung Fu Panda 3 where chi was involved.

Not only Chi allowed Master Oogway to do several things such as flight, writing on mid-air and even the nerve attack that can paralyze uses chi.

This shows how much potential chi has.

"Anyways, I just came here to warn you that I might be gone for a while. I'll come back don't worry, I just don't know when. In the meantime, I think this'll be good for your village to last for a few months." As soon as Leo finished his words, he took out 5 crates out of his inventory.

This is one of the common Gacha draws that he got from Gacha, which is the crate of rations.

[Crate of Rations - Contains several meats, ingredients and even a cooking manual. It can last a family of four for a whole year.]

And now that he has five of these, Leo is sure that the village can last a whole year.

"This?" Casting Leo a confused look, Leo answered his confusion.

"It's a crate full of raw foods. I'm sure with these 5, your village won't be going hungry for a whole year. So while I'm gone, make sure every Black panther in the village won't look malnourished by the time I'm back, understood?" Patting the crates, Leo was about to look back at Kha'an when he heard him sniffing.

"Y-You truly are our savior!" Kneeling down on the ground, Kha'an crawled towards Leo's feet and was about to kiss it when Leo backed away and held his nape like a cat with ease.

"You!....You don't have to do that. A simple thank you is enough." Holding himself from lashing out at the chief, Leo calmed himself down and replied.

"I-I see. Then on behalf of the entire Black Panther tribe, you have our eternal gratitude!" Bowing his head, Leo smiled, he'd prefer the bow than the weird crawling and feet kissing earlier.

After bidding his farewell with the chief of the black panther tribe, Leo walked back to his room and while doing so, his mind began to wander towards a certain thing.

'Maybe there's something I could use that could protect them just in case?' Taking a look at his inventory, Leo scrolled through several items and objects that he received from the Gacha until he arrived at a certain item or more specifically a certain living being.

'Hold on, since when did I have a Black Panther Cub? I don't remember having this.' Raising his eyebrow, Leo, out of confusion, decided to take the cub out of the inventory.

As soon as he did, a small black panther with sharp blue eyes materialized on both of his hands.

"Meow!" Meowing as if to announce his existence to the world, Leo gawked at the black panther especially when he felt some kind of connection with the cub.

"Aren't you a cute little thing." Raising the cub up until his eye level, Leo stared at the cub's eyes, discerning what Leo assumes to be curiosity and joy.

However, what happened next was beyond Leo's expectations as a cute childish voice was heard inside his head.

[Hello?]

"Huh? You...." Looking at the cub, Leo was quick to guess that it was the small cub in front of him that spoke just now.

"Are you the one who just spoke in my mind?" Leo asked in a whisper.

[Hi?]

"Hello? Did you just speak in my mind?"

[Hello?]

"Hi?- Do you understand the words coming out of my mouth?"

[Hmm?]

"Okay, you don't. You only know Hi and Hello. That should be good enough, I guess?" Sighing in defeat, Leo arrived back in his room and laid the black panther cub on his bed, watching him as the cub placed his nose on the ground and started sniffing around.

"Okay, a Black Panther Cub that is somehow connected in his mind and can talk. Nothing much is surprising. I think you'll be the perfect guardian of the village, aren't you?"

"Meow!" As if not understanding Leo, the black panther cub simply meowed in response.

"Good. Then you're coming with me until you're of the proper age." Grabbing the cub by the stomach, Leo then proceeded to open the majestic portal to the world of Frozen.

"You ready?"

"Meow!"

*Fwoooossshhhh!*

A golden swirl then manifested in front of them.

Breathing in and out, Leo then proceeded to step inside, letting his foot in first before his whole body.

"Meow?" Meowing in confusion, the cub watches as their surroundings change the moment they step foot inside the swirling portal.

As for where the portal brought him on the other side? Well, only God knows that and Leo hopes that he won't be stranded in some kind of island or worse, in the middle of the ocean, he doesn't have his Black Pearl to save his ass.

*Fwooosh!*

Meanwhile, in the middle of a forest, a golden portal soon opens up as Leo's feet step outside followed by himself and the black panther cub on his arm.

*Inhale!*

*Exhale!*

"Fresh air!" Leo yelled out.

"Meoow!!" Imitating his owner, the black panther cub also yelled out a cute meow.

"Haha! That's like it! I should name you by now, right?" Taking the cub to meet his eye level again, Leo fell into deep thoughts, thinking for names to bestow upon the cute little cat on his hand.

"How about Poppy?"

[No.]

"Huh? So you know other words, good to know. Then, how about Luna?"

[Yes! Yes! Luna!]

"Looks like you like it!" Grinning widely, kissed the cat, now known as Luna on her cheeks.

"Meow!"

[Secret Quest achieved!

Quest Title - Name the Black Panther Cub!

Reward: Luna's Collar]

"Huh, sweet." Claiming the rewards, Genesis then displayed the Collar's information.

[Luna's Collar - A black with blue strip collar that contains mystical abilities.

- Protection: Wearing this collar would grant Luna a one time shield to protect her from any kinds of damage. One time use only.

- Heed my Call! - While wearing this, Luna can be called upon command by its owner, Leo without any distance limit.]

"Holy shit! Genesis, I can wear this right? Perhaps I can just wear it on my wrist." Seeing such a valuable life saving shield that could save him from all kinds of attack!

[Seriously, how heartless can you be to steal a collar that was gifted to a kitten? And besides, even if you wear it, please read the description again. Luna's name is written on it. Not yours.]

"...Bummer. Luna, c'mere daddy has a gift for you!" Only for a single second, Leo's disappointed expression was quickly replaced by a smiley face that disgusted Genesis.

[How shameful. You act as if you didn't just attempt to take the collar for yourself.]

'Genesis, all is fair when it comes to saving your own life. You won't understand it because you're probably immortal and cannot be touched.' Leo mentally shrugged his shoulders.

[For your information, Leo. I am soul-bounded to you. Your life is my life and once you die, I die. This is why all of your Gacha draws are always in your favour. I am doing my best to put everything in your favour just so you can get strong and won't kill us both. Perhaps a single thank you is enough!]

'Thought we're going to have a drama until the end of this chapter.'

"Alright, Luna. Our adventure begins right now!"

"Nyeoorr!"

"Luna that's not food! And wear this collar already!" Just like that, for the rest of the day, the trees and nearby animals bore witness to a spectacle of a human and small black panther cub chasing all over the forest until the moon reaches its peak in the sky.

Such a beautiful life in a beautiful world, too bad it will soon be tainted by a certain someone in the future.
