Ch. 51 - The Great Pretender, a monster Slayer!

'It's my time to shine!'

With these words in their minds, Maui grabbed the handle of his Magical Hook in two hands before gripping them tightly as he smashed it towards Tamatoa's already broken left eye.

Meanwhile, Leo stood up and as if the necklace was a second limb, Leo's entire body slowly got covered in a black suit that spread throughout his entire body.

Moana, who was watching the fight on the sidelines, was mesmerized by Maui's magical hook, only for Leo's sudden transformation to steal her attention.

"What is that?" She wondered out loud and watched as Leo made a move by jumping from the ground and landed on Tamatoa's large pincers.

"Arrgghh!" Not noticing Leo's landing thanks to Maui slamming his magical hook on his left eye, Tamatoa was crying out in pain, all while trying to shake his pincers to throw Maui far away from him.

"You'll be a good target to test my suit." Inside the mask, Leo grinned and his nails suddenly produced very sharp Vibranium nails that could tear almost anything except for itself.

With a swift movement, Leo slashed Tamatoa's huge pincers, and despite the hard exoskeleton serving as an armor, Leo's Vibranium claws slashed very deep like a hot knife to a butter.

If Leo's nails were longer, no doubt he would've sliced Tamatoa's entire pincer off.

"Gyaaarrghhh!" Feeling the worst pain he'd ever felt since he was born, Tamatoa's survival instincts went haywire as his body and brain started sending off signals to his entire being to run away from the place as soon as possible and as far away as he could.

"Get away from me!" Turning around, Tamatoa blasted off, using his four legs to run away as fast as he could, abandoning the shiny treasures that he has gathered for thousands of years.

"Who said you can leave." Just when Tamatoa thought he could finally escape since he was already out of his cave, he heard a voice behind him.

Before he could turn around, two slashes from Leo's Vibranium claws went towards both of his eyes.

As for what happened next?

*Thud!* x2

Two bleeding eyeballs fell and landed on the ground, continuously seeping blood out of it.

Meanwhile, Tamatoa wanted to yell out of pain, but Leo didn't give him the chance when he pulled his eyes, or what remains of it.

*Splurt!* x2

Behind them, Moana and Maui caught up and the former couldn't help but puke her guts out after seeing this scene.

Meanwhile, Maui just frowned a little bit after seeing someone he knows and fought with for a thousand years die from the hands of an unknown 'demi-god', simply watching the Gargantuan crab bleed himself to death.

"And that's how you silence noisy creatures." Patting his hands against each other, Leo looked down at his wonderful masterpiece and was about to go back to Tamatoa's cave to continue absorbing his shiny wealth into his ring when he suddenly heard several growls and howls all around him.

Looking around, Leo finally noticed tens of monsters, some small and some big looking down on him with such ferocious looks on their faces, as if they were looking at their next prey, not knowing they should be looking at their own faces instead.

"Great, at least the passive effects of the ring motivates me quite a bit. Besides, I haven't really tested the full capabilities of the Panther Habit." Inside the mask, Leo grinned once again before running towards the nearest monster around him.

It was a big purple monster with 3 large eyeballs, square-shaped body and 10 tentacles all around the sides. It looks like something that came out of the SCP universe.

"Mother fucker, I can't imagine what your parents looks like." As if understanding Leo's comment, the tentacle creature growled and roared at him before using his tentacles to attack Leo.

*Fwoosh!* x10

Dodging all of them with ease such as jumping, back flipping and even sliding before Leo smoothly landed on the ground and laughed.

"Wow! Did I just do all that? This suit is so amazing! I feel like I can t-." Before Leo could further celebrate his victory, another tentacle came at him and this time, he was caught off guard!

*Bam!*

Leo could only cross his arms and just when he was expecting himself to be thrown away, instead he just skidded away yet his feet never left the ground.

At the same time, purple waves swirled around Leo's suit in a line, forming what seems to be a pattern of purple light.

"Hoh hohhh, this feels awesome!" Despite the suit absorbing the kinetic energy, Leo can still feel the strength swirling upon him.

'According to T'Challa's memories, the absorbed kinetic energy can be released in various ways but his most favourite is releasing it through his punches, which gives him almost 5 tons on each of his punches.' While thinking of this, the creature was already planning another attack and Leo would obviously not dodge.

Why should he? He likes getting hit, especially in this kind of suit.

'Wait that came out wrong.' Before Leo could cringe at his thoughts, two tentacles whizzed across the air and slammed him in his chest.

This time, the force was stronger than the previous one and Leo was thrown up in the sky.

Fortunately, this is what Leo wanted, when he landed on the ground, the purple lines on his suit started to get more deeper and noticeable.

'Damn! This is like at least 50 tons of kinetic energy! Just how strong is this monster?!' Since the suit was like an extra limb, Leo could tell how much the Panther Habit has absorbed.

And 50 tons is no joke! If Leo doesn't have his Panther Habit, he might've long died from the tentacle monster's hand? Or tentacle.

"How about a taste of your own medicine." Leo uttered, he felt like this line really suits him, he's like stating the literal meaning of what he's about to do.

"Grrr?" The tentacle creature could only utter a confused grunt before Leo rushed towards him.

The creature tried to intercept Leo, only to fail and it didn't take long before Leo was already in front of the monster.

"You can have this!" Jumping from the ground, Leo was met face to face with the creature before cocking his fist back.

The creature could only watch in confusion, thinking how a mere human could do damage to him. But he was in for a great shock.

As soon as Leo's fist connected with the creature's grosteque face, the creature could only widen his eyes in shock along with Maui and Moana who were watching the fight before the grosteque face exploded like a watermelon.

*Boom!*

Even Leo, who launched the punch was stunned by how strong his punch is if he used the absorbed kinetic energy.

'Is this always what Black Panther does whenever he goes on a fight with someone? I'm surprised Bucky is still alive after being chased by him throughout the entire winter soldier movie.' Leo said to himself and stared at his bloodied fist.

'Why do I feel like a certain overpowered bald protagonist?' Leo thought to himself and before he could continue, he heard another set of grunts and growls all around him.

Looking up, Leo saw several monsters some bigger than the one he just fought while some are smaller.

"Hello there." Leo smiled and greeted them, which just made them more angry at him to the point that one of them pounced on him.

"Grraaarggh!"

"Daddy chill!" Shouting at the small creature, Leo dodged it and delivered a kick towards what he assumed to be its abdomen.

*Bam!*

"Klalarrgh!" Shouting in pain, the small creature that looks like a deformed monkey was thrown back to the horde of monsters.

This served as the signal for the rest of the monsters to jump on Leo.

"Come on!" Instead of getting scared, Leo even grinned widely like a madman.

"Roaaarr!" Like something that came out of an action movie, Leo and the monsters all jumped towards each other.

*Bam!*

Obviously, Leo would get the first punch and he got thrown away all because it was a huge monster that got the first hit on him.

'Damn! That's at least 40 tons! What's with these monsters?' Leo complained in his heart as he suffered another hit from an unknown monster.

At this moment, Leo was already drowned by nothing but monsters.

"We gotta help him!" Moana shouted at Maui, who has been squinting his eyes at Leo since earlier.

"Wait....Something doesn't feel right. Those monsters should've stopped by now, because at this moment, if they do succeed in swarming Leo, he would've been in their stomachs, but they still kept attacking unless...." As Maui was suspicious and wanted to know the answer, a huge explosion under the color of purple.

*BOOM!*

All the monsters that were trying to swarm him in were thrown away and collided with the walls and tall disfigured trees around.

*Crack!* x2

Seeing such an explosion that killed almost half of the monsters that were swarming on Leo, Maui and Moana were left with their jaws dropped on the ground.

"What was that?"

All that was left was Leo standing in the middle with a small crater on the floor.

"That was..." Moana and Maui muttered in synchronization with their eyes glued on the figure of Leo in his Panther Habit suit.

At the same time, Leo was looking down on his hands and muttering the same words as Maui and Moana.

"That was....fucking awesome!" The three of them said in unison with only Leo adding the 'fucking' word.
