Ch. 36 - The Great Pretender was betrayed!

"Leo, come and eat!" Snapping out of his thoughts, Leo heard Master Shifu's voice calling out to him.

Turning around, Leo found both Master Shifu and Po sitting in front of him either, a slab rock serving at their table while having 3 empty bowls and a single bowl full of dumplings.

"So, it's that time huh?" Leo chuckled to himself, remembering this part in the movie where Po and Master Shifu fought against each other just for a single piece of dumpling.

"Alright."

"Now, eat." Now that Leo has taken his seat, Master Shifu calmly smiled and gestured for Leo and Po to start eating.

"....Really? No test or anything?" Po eyed Master Shifu suspiciously while looking around for any traps that might take him and Leo by surprise.

"Yes." The master answered.

"Hmm....." Po, still squinting his eyes at Master Shifu in suspicion, slowly took a dumpling from the bowl that started inching towards his mouth.

Meanwhile, being hungry also, Leo waited for Master Shifu to steal the dumpling from Po and take that opportunity to snatch a dumpling to feed himself.

"....Hahh~" When the dumpling was finally a few inches away from his mouth, Po finally let his guard down and closed his eyes to eat the dumpling.

*Swoosh!*

Under Leo's gaze, Master Shifu jumped from his seat and grabbed the dumpling from Po's chopsticks.

At that time, Leo had already taken a dumpling and threw it towards his open mouth.

What he wasn't expecting though was for Master Shifu to throw one of his chopsticks towards the dumpling and throw the other chopstick to clash with the first chopstick.

The throwing of the chopsticks was so carefully calculated and intricate that the two chopsticks soon returned to Master Shifu's hands, all while the flying dumpling landed on his bowl.

"Nom~" Master Shifu purposely chewed the dumplings that he stole from Leo and Po, gathering growls from the two of them.

"Hey! You said we can eat!?" Po complained.

"Yes, that's what I just said. Eat." At this moment, Master Shifu's gaze over them wasn't calm anymore, instead it was a mix of glare and the same gaze he always has whenever there is a test for Leo and Po.

"Howoohh~~" Po made a sound before twirling both of his chopsticks between his fingers before stabbing one of the dumplings.

Meanwhile, Leo threw one of his chopsticks towards Master Shifu, intending to use it as a distraction while he and Po stole their share of a dumpling.

As if expecting this, Master Shifu used his chopsticks to deflect the incoming chopstick projectile.

*Clang!*

As soon as he did, his fast speed burst out, smashing the bowl of dumplings, causing it to fly everywhere.

Knowing what will happen next from the movie, Leo didn't let Master Shifu have the space to eat all of the dumplings, instead he used his chopsticks to grab Master Shifu's legs before slamming him back down on the rock slab.

Like a duo, Po then used his own bowl to catch all of the flying dumplings.

Not wanting for this to happen, Master Shifu tried snapping Leo's chopsticks. However, he wasn't expecting Leo to not only fight back but also keep up with his speed.

Thanks to the time that Leo bought, Po managed to catch all of the dumplings and ate all of them at once.

"Nom!~" Po happily chewed after fitting all of the dumplings in his mouth, not noticing the snicker on Master Shifu's face and the stunned and grim expression of Leo.

"Po.....you traitor!" Leo yelled before kicking Po on his belly, causing him to throw all of the remaining dumplings from his mouth.

The dumplings however unfortunately fell on the dirt ground, causing Leo to silently whimper.

He hasn't eaten for a whole week!

"S-Swoowyy- cough!" Po painfully groaned while apologizing.

"Now that's done, it is time for us to go back. I deem you both ready to face Tai Lung." Master Shifu announced with a hint of satisfaction from his tone.

Meanwhile, Po and Leo both bowed to their teacher respectfully.

Finally, after a whole week of training! They would finally go back and fight their first challenge after becoming Dragon Warriors.

This time, the journey back didn't take long anymore as Po doesn't take that much rest anymore and Leo has finally gotten his first meal after fishing for a fish in a fish pond when they were passing by.

As soon as they reached the Jade Palace, Leo and Po brought their things back to their room before meeting up with Master Shifu in the training grounds as he instructed earlier upon their return.

"Since you two have finished your training. It is time to-." While Master Shifu was talking, Po suddenly interrupted him, much to Master Shifu's rolling of eyes, however he was soon stunned when he heard Po's words.

"Look! Isn't that Crane?"

"What?" Master Shifu was confused at first, that is until he turned around and saw Crane flying towards them in an exhausted manner, on his feet were the rest of the Furious Five.

*Thud!*

"Ugghh~" Finally landing after days of flying, Crane groaned in pain before passing out on the ground.

"Guys! What happened?" Po worriedly approached them while crouching in front of the paralyzed Monkey.

"They"re paralyzed." With just a single look, Master Shifu managed to analyze their condition as he walked towards Monkey and pressed several chi points on his chest.

"Gah!"

*Boom!*

As soon as Master Shifu undoes the paralyzation on Monkey, his hand stretched and accidentally punched Po on the jaw.

"He's too strong!" Monkey shivered and claimed.

"What!?" Only after undoing the paralyzations on their bodies did Master Shifu react.

"You went by yourselves and confronted Tai Lung!?" Master Shifu quickly shifted his glare at Tigress, deeming her responsible.

"I-I'm sorry, Master. I thought we could take him on. He was just.....too strong." Tigress breathed heavily while rubbing her bruised arm.

"Tai Lung did all these?" Master Shifu muttered to himself as fear slowly blossomed in his eyes.

As Tai Lung's master, only Master Shifu knows the extent of Tai Lung's strength and being able to paralyze his 5 best students only means that Tai Lung has gotten stronger than when he last met him.

This also means one thing, Po and Leo weren't actually deemed enough to face Tai Lung.

Unless....

"All of you. Come with me. Especially you both." Master Shifu hurriedly turned around and rushed towards the Jade Palace.

Confused by the sudden behavior of Master Shifu, Po, Leo and the Furious Five all followed suit.

Once they arrived at the Jade Palace, they saw Master Shifu standing in front of the gates.

"It is time for you both to officially become the Dragon Warriors." Master Shifu said with his chest high before opening the gates of the Jade Palace.

Once inside, Master Shifu didn't dawdle any longer and headed straight towards the center and middle of the hall, where a small water pond with small pink leaves floating on the surface resides.

On the ceiling was the sculpture of an eastern dragon with its mouth wide open, there rests the Dragon Scroll that was sought after by every Kung Fu Master in the entire China.

"According to legend, whoever read the Dragon Scroll would be able to hear a butterfly's wing beat, to see light in the darkest cave, and would feel the universe in motion around them. The Dragon Scroll is said to contain the secret to limitless power, surpassing the entire Kung Fu in this world!"

As they arrived in front of the water pond, Master Shifu explained the legend of the Dragon Scroll, which was stated by Master Shifu himself, the creator of the Dragon Scroll.

No one knows what exactly is in the Dragon Scroll except for the maker himself, Master Oogway.

"Woahhh~" Po and the Furious Five were the only ones who were amazed by the tale that Master Shifu stated.

Meanwhile, Leo is once again staring at the mid-air in front of him looking like an idiot.

However, if one were to observe him carefully, they would notice that Leo was focused and seems to be reading something by the movements of his eyes.

Main Quest: Open the Dragon Scroll

Seeing this quest is making Leo almost shake out of excitement.

This is by far the easiest Quest he ever has as he only needs to be a Dragon Warrior to finish this quest.

And now, he's about to receive the rewards.

Speaking of Quests, Leo also mentally pressed the other Quest that he just finished.

'Claim!' Leo mentally screamed in his mind, watching as the Quest screen dissolves and turns into motes of light that is absorbed into Leo's body, a phenomenon that only he can see.

As soon as he claimed, his 53.267% Black Panther Template increased by 5%, turning it into 58.267%.

Feeling the slight increase of his strength, Leo smiled in satisfaction before looking at the amount of his total Gacha tickets that he currently has.

As soon as he just turned to look at his Gacha tickets, he also heard Genesis's announcement.
