A fog of haziness greeted me right after...
...along with a blue glowing humanoid standing before me in this world of haziness.
The thing uttered nothing, as it points its finger to my forehead.
I can feel it drawing a circle with a dot on its middle and top...
...a symbol for hydrogen.
A symbol that I myself respect for its simplicity yet also for its prevalent presence in everything and ultimately its significance.
Without it, there would be null.
The humanoid imprinted the symbol on me and disappeared right after. I can feel it be absorbed to myself as it seemingly whispers, "Be my legacy..."
The blue glow disappeared and the world turns hazier as I was enveloped in nothingness.

After my disintegration, the frantic Meli immediately run to our lab as she plugged one of the vats of liquids to make Operation Phoenix operational again after deactivating it a year ago.
It was unneeded though.
Moments after she just plugged the vat, I appeared before her.
No, not in the vat but just a few meters beside her, she saw the reverse of what just happened earlier.
First as a disembodied nervous system, including the brain and eyes
Then as a circulatory system.
A partially muscled skeleton.
Then finally, a boy with blue hair and eyes in a white lab coat is surrounded by electrons as they create a glow as if a god just descended.
This all happened in an instant and she forgot to even react.
Then finally, she recognize me after we blankly stare at each other for a few good seconds.
"W-what just happend..?" she blankly asks, still shocked even though we've done so much stuff together that might as well be 'sci-fi'.
I just gave her my usual smile which I now find rather more innocent than what I thought it is after seeing it from an objective view.
"I reassembled myself." then I replied to her question as I dispersed the electrical charges around me and slowly came closer to her side.
She tightly hugged me even more tightly than that time we became a couple as if she just had the scare of her life and her eyes became wet.
Well, this was the first tike I 'die' afterall.
Reciprocating her hug, I caressed the back of her head, softly whispering "It's fine now... Tis but a scratch..." to comfort her.
She giggled.
Then as if driven by the situation, she stares at me with upturn eyes wet from her tears for a few brief seconds as we stare at each other's eyes, our faces slowly inching...
...as we kissed and fumbled through each other clothing.
We chased each other's tongue, unconsciously moving through the lab carried by our desire for each other's body, I noticed the neurons in our head in great activity, specifically the regions that compels creatures to bred.
Eventually, Meli took the lead while we were kissing without my notice as she took us to the bed.
I guess I didn't need to assemble the lab coat afterall as it was later taken off.
June 9th of the year 2183...
On this day, Meli and I made love for the first time.
