After sitting in the hallway for what felt like forever, my number was finally called. I stood up almost immediately, dusting the invisible dirt off my pencil high waist skirt and adjusting my blouse.

I took a deep breath and strolled through the door, my head down whilst trying to gather as much courage as I could. I walked to the chair and stood beside it, waiting for a go-ahead to sit.

After a long silence, I finally decided to look up and see why no one's talking or even acknowledging me.

My knees almost gave up on me the moment I saw that the only person in the hall is the greek god I encountered outside. A look of disgust evident on his face, he cleared his throat and cocked his eyebrow.

"Oh um… I'm here for the interview sir." I breathe out.

"Well, go on then. Sit down on the chair beside you. Don't just stand there like a lost puppy."

Well someone's in a bad mood.

I finally took a seat, crossing my trembling legs so that I can use that opportunity to hide my shaky hands between my legs.

"Well.." He asked a few minutes after I sat down.

What?

The hell does he mean?

"Um…," I raised an eyebrow.

"Jesus Christ woman! Tell me about yourself…" he spat out.

"My name is Rosaline Barker sir." I stuttered shyly.

"You have no experience whatsoever with interviews right?" He asked almost immediately and I felt my face flush with embarrassment.

"N…no sir, this is my first interview."

I definitely did not get this job.

"So how the hell were you then invited for an interview? Did you send in your CV at all?" He spoke in a dangerously low tone.

At this point I was trembling all over.

"Ye…ye-yes sir, I did." I dropped my head down to look at my shaky hands and catch my breath.

"So you have no experience in business management?"

"No sir I don't.."

He sighed deeply.

"What time did you get here?"

I looked up at him again and squinted my eyebrow

"7:47am sir." I answered shyly.

"Meaning you saw the long line waiting for their turn to be interviewed."

Knowing where this is headed, I dropped my head again. Feeling tears pool in my eyes, I tried everything possible to prevent them from falling.

"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have accepted this interview. I just thought that since I was accepted, I was being given a second chance." I whispered to no one in particular. "I'll just leave now."

I stood up immediately with my head still down, hiding my teary eyes and attempted to run out of the hall before I felt strong hands roughly grab my forearm. I cursed loudly from the pain and stared wide eyed at him.

"Where do you think you're going?"

I opened my mouth to something but no words came out.

"This interview isn't over kitten, you're here already aren't you? So sit your fat ass back on that chair and answer all my questions as loud as possible."

What exactly have I gotten myself into.!
