Pretty Good

A comfortable silence descended as Min-soo and Uncle Sun mulled their thoughts. However, Uncle Sun was the first to break the silence.

"Say, Min-soo do you not fear that you're moving too fast? Going at it too big? Are you not afraid to fail?"

Caught a little off-guard Min-soo gave those questions some thought before he proceeded to answer with determination, "Sometimes, but I believe in my vision. I know where I want to go and had you seen the things I have seen, then you too would be filled with confidence."

Letting out a sigh of relief or admiration Uncle Sun muttered, "Must be good to be young."

"So, Min-soo where to from here? Now that you have Bang Si-hyuk coming, we don't have any trainees for him to work with."

"Ah, Uncle Sun, no need to worry, I have already found a few good talents." Min-soo replied brightly.

"Huh, already? Since when did talents grow like weeds?" Uncle Sun asked in jest.

"Haha. But that reminds me, you're right we need to put in place a talent scouting system, what do you think?" Min-soo responded seriously.

"Hm, well we could go with the standard audition process and weed them out that way, but it would be a slow and time-consuming process, that is if we were looking for quality rather than quantity. Otherwise, we could employ the services of those talent scouts used by those acting companies, we are bound to find a few good people on the streets."

"Instead of outsourcing it to another company, we should build up our own talent scouting capabilities, after all, only we know what we want from these trainees. Do you know anyone in that line of work?"

"No, sadly. But I can get Jang-mi and Hyeon-sang to look around, oh Hyeon-sang is the HR manager old friend that I mentioned earlier. He's currently out with Hyun-jung trying to poach an expert choreographer at the School of Performing Arts Seoul. She's worked with some big names overseas and recently returned to Korea, turns out Hyun-jung and her are old university mates. So Hyeon-sang believes there is a 70% chance we can recruit her."

Min-soo felt more and more gratitude to his Grandfather for recommending Uncle Sun to him, otherwise there was no way he would have even set up half as much as he currently had then. After all, without Uncle Sun, there would have been no Hyun-jung, no Jang-mi and no Jae-eun.

"Then I will leave it to them then. Thank you, Uncle Sun for everything." Min-soo expressed heartfeltly.

"No need, no need. I'm thankful that you're willing to trust an old bag of bones like myself and allow me to fulfil an old dream of mine. Now, are there any particular traits, features or characteristics you're looking for in these new trainees? Actually, have you decided on a boy or girl group yet?" Uncle Sun asked with slight excitement.

"I've decided on a boy group, in fact the talents I mentioned earlier are all males. Once they arrive, I will introduce them to you. I think you will like them. Anyways I need to get going, I have a lunch with Grandfather. Once again thank you for everything."

"Ah, indeed, Sun-ho did mention he was coming into Seoul last night. I think you will find your lunch very enjoyable." Uncle Sun hinted mysteriously and then added a wink.

Min-soo looked at him with slight confusion before seeing him say no more, simply bid him goodbye before heading out.

"Take care, Uncle Sun, I will see you later."

"See you, Min-soo."

As Min-soo walked out of Uncle Sun's office, he heard Jang-mi's voice who appeared to be in deep discussion with another person on the phone. Seeing him walk out Jang-mi mouthed a sorry and good day and then gave him a nod before turning back to her computer and the phone.

Min-soo only smiled as he walked over to the lift. Checking the Patek watch on his wrist and seeing that he still had some time, he decided to head up and check out his office. He also assumed Hyun-woo would be there as well.

The lift doors opened and the first thing that greeted Min-soo was none other than the ever-patient handsome face of Hyun-woo. It appeared he had either been notified or had guessed that Min-soo was on his way up.

Hyun-woo seeing Min-soo's bemused face merely looked up and Min-soo followed his eyes and saw there was a light by the lift doors. Its purpose was clear.

"Young Master, let me show you around your new office." Hyun-woo offered politely.

"Very well." Min-soo accepted as he began to look around curiously.

The entire floor was essentially his, Hyun-woo's office was right near the front beside the lift doors, whereas the rest was for him.

That was not to say Hyun-woo was cramped in and was working out of an office the size of a wardrobe. The better word to describe his workplace would be a suite, for there was not only a kitchen but there was pretty much everything one needed to live there.

If someone had not entered through the lobby downstairs, they would have assumed they had entered someone's apartment. To Min-soo it seemed more like a home than an office.

But then again, he was not one to talk, after all, the rest of the floor was for him, minus a couple of conference rooms. Walking into his office Min-soo nodded his head in appreciation over the style and feel of the room. Hyun-woo clearly knew him best.

Warm, earthy colours for the furniture while the rest of the room was rather minimalist. Sitting down behind his desk, Min-soo spread his hands across the desk and smiled brightly, he liked it a lot.

However, his eyes were drawn to the rather conspicuous lift door in the corner.

"Hyun-woo, where does that lead to?"

"Ah, that is the only way to reach the top floor. We have renovated it to become a living area for yourself. So, if you ever feel like staying at the company, it is there for you."

A little surprised, Min-soo once again nodded in appreciation.

"Young Master, perhaps you can have a look later, we should leave now to ensure we do not keep Minister Lee waiting." Hyun-woo gently reminded.

"Ah, almost forgot. Alright, let's go." Min-soo got up and took one last look at his new office before he closed the door with satisfaction. Following after Hyun-woo, Min-soo suddenly felt that this new life of his was actually pretty good.
